Come on Comish , spend some money!!!! The leafue will explode in popularity if you let the clubs spend money in the transfer market! We have been supporting the league from day one. The fans deserve it!😊
The Commissioner is not in charge of the salary cap. The board of governors (owners) are in charge of agreeing on working out a deal to raise the salary cap with the MLSPA having to be involved in the negotiations.
It's not that we aren't seeing clubs spend money. It's that MOST of the money is in 2 or 3 top players. If $30-40 million of a club's money is invested in 3 designated players and the rest of the team is operating off of only $5 million, then you have a VERY top heavy team with no real depth at any position OUTSIDE of the designated players. That's why these clubs usually get beat down in international competitions. There is no real depth to these rosters. It's DP's and then goes rapidly downhill in terms of quality from there.
Good interview. The next challenge is how to get the best out of Apple so that the league gets enough exposure. But I'm impressed with Garber and how far the league has come 😀⚽️
I agree. However. I respectfully think he has taken the MLS as far as he can. It's time for a "football" (someone who literally grew up on Socer) commissioner.
MLS is the 3rd most watched league in the US. Don't let those attendance figures fool you. They are doing a poor job at growing their audience. I have Bern watching for 8 years, but this cheap mentality has me ready to stop wasting my time with this mediocre league.
I will recommend Mrs Mary Jane, Trading services for you their strategies are working for me at the moment and making good profit from stock market trading
Best commish ever...deflecting every question with a smile.
Lol

He's not in charge of that. The owners are.
Garber is seriously holding back the league by not removing the salary cap and/or raising the number of DP slots.
Elaborate

Great questions.. Garber deflecting, would like to see the MLS with a similar European calendar and ascend and descend league.
Apple TV has to end. Zero coverage anywhere locally and the TV product MLS produces is terrible. Zero local feeling in any of the broadcasts.
Agreed! Netflix is the better move, even if they won't honor anywhere near the amount of money that Apple is dishing out.
Don Garber might be the best commissioner in sports history. Soccer in North America was never going to work and yet here we are.

@ there is a lot of room for growth. What I predict is a new league with promotion-relegation with a new premier league to buy into.
The mls also has 30 clubs and that is why is second in attendance

I'm favoured financially with stock market approval, $25,000 weekly profit regardless of how bad it gets on the economy.
Some times last week I tried trading all alone but ended up loosing $3K😢
I will recommend Mrs Mary Jane, Trading services for you their strategies are working for me at the moment and making good profit from stock market trading
Can't imagine earning $32,000 biweekly,
God bless Ms. Mary Jane gerard,
God bless America❤
It's very encouraging to see Mary Jane mentioned here. I started with 12,000, and now I'm getting good results. Highly recommended.
My portfolio has good companies. However, it has been stalling this year. I have approximately $70k stagnant in my reserve that needs growth.
