You can avoid the 2 heavy power consuming duplicate nodes by resizing the image of the text as it fit the height of the TEXT (setting tabs) and then use transform nodes with Edges set to Wrap, so you can achieve it with 10 nodes, one text node, two transform nodes, and seven rectangle nodes, no merges, no backgrounds, no duplicates and very fluent animation :)

Do you know how to make ScaleUp text effect with a full sphere rolling under the text? DaVinci's own effect has a half sphere and it's a script effect.
But this is a little useless for beginners who are not ready to edit nodes and understand it in depth. ANY OTHER TEXT WILL LOOK BAD, so to achieve the result with other text, you need to edit all the nodes
