I enjoyed this vid. I hate when you run into other issues besides the main culprit. Sucks waiting on parts but its the proper way to fix it. Looking forward to more
Glad you enjoyed it! I mainly complain about parts times because I'm shooting the video at the same time and despite planning ahead there are always those little road bumps that delay it. Oh well! Plenty more projects to come haha.
@@GarageAddiction I agree! You take something apart and then you gotta wait a week for the new part to come in! It sucks but I can’t wait for the new videos
hello crack, one question, did you paint those radiator hoses? Because I have a '94 CR80 and I don't know whether to paint the hoses or buy colored ones
My money is on the previous rebuilder moving the piston ring off it's locator pin on install which may have happened when wrestling with the bent studs for sure.

Sick little bike, I sold off all my bikes but kept my ol 94 cr80r! I gotta get it back up and running asap
Thanks! Nicely done keeping the cr80r, hope you get it up and running soon!
Great video and great effort filming! Thanks for sharing this cool little bike, i'm thinking of getting one. Liked and subbed.
Are the 85/80 cranks interchangeable was thinking about getting a new one mines sound bad
Cleanest mechanic hands ive ever seen. Btw... Did you figure out what the copper plug in the cylinder was for?
Haha no I never did, I've asked a few shops about it too and they had no idea either.
Sweet little bike
Thanks!

These are the colored silicone rad hoses. I'd definitely steer clear painting them, they'll crack and flake immediately.
@@GarageAddictionthanks bro!!
So what do you think was the culprit ?
The bent threaded rod?

Hey I got 01 Honda cr80rb when I kick it's like it's not spending the crankshaft what you think going on
Pop the clutch cover off and see if the kickstarter is engaging the clutch at all, my guess is that it isn't which isn't getting the crank moving.
Where you located??
SoCal
that's not a "reverse torx", just use a regular 12 point socket on it, then lyao, lol.
I didn't have any 12 points that fit haha
Damn and I thought mine was clean
Supermoto build I hope
Probably not in the cards on this one, although I thought about it. I've got another bike lurking in the garage for more supermoto duty.
