12:35 actually he got that wrong, gura first showed her red model during (i believe) a dbd stream (dead by daylight), because she was playing a killer in that stream and gura's fans being who they are loved it so much it became apart of her cannon

Sadly, with Gura's lack of streaming it's actually looking like she'll be surpassed as the most subbed "traditional" Vtuber in the world and likely within another few years. The two biggest candidates in Hololive would be Houshou Marine who recently passed 3 million subs on TH-cam and Kobo Kanaeru who's already over 2 million subs and who's growth has been very similar to that of Gura with no signs of really slowing down.

I feel like Gura might actually prefer that. She has a great deal of imposter syndrome, and I think being the nominal face of Vtubing as a whole has taken its toll on her. She might be happier just doing her own thing without the pressure of being in the absolute top.
