SPOILERS!!! Yes on the abandoned base, you'll find a PDA and it stated that another ship crashed on that planet and 3 survivors were left. They used to live in the Island but found something weird with it so they decided to live underwater.
Don't you all agree there should be more content in-game before they make this multiplayer? Because if there is not much to do... people start to loose interest once all is crafted or sidequests are complete. This game has great potential... give the devs good feedback, time & continued support ^_^

I have 2 sides with this idea,(great english i know right!) if they make coop now and fix the stuff already in the game to work with it it would make it easier to fix bugs happening when they add new content and go along but then theres your theory
+SkwirlGnitals the argument of "MP now or later" can't really be nailed down because people have different preferance, i know somebody who has lost most of their intrest in the game because - according to them- they promised MP before it came out on EA and turned back on it, where as I myself wouldn't mind MP down the line, however I feel implimenting it later on risks the burn out effect. Should they focus on in-game content right now? hell yes, personally I would say they only have some mid game content at the best leaving the end game empty (That said the game kinda feels empty after the early game). I think they shouldn't be looking to implement the MP yet but I think around the time they get to adding the actual story (Or at the least the monsters attack update) they should begin to look at adding it in, since the game is smaller in what you can do vs say Kerbal space program (Which is getting an MP mode implemented only now after 1.0) the chance of a player burning out on the game is much higher That said I wouldn't mind if they just said "We arn't doing MP" and focus on giving a lot of in-game content

If you watch jacksepticeye play subnautica, he kinda made a base on that island, and now he abandoned the game. So i think that's where the idea came from.

Noah Emery I never said Minecraft is the best survival game, perhaps it is ,since it is the most popular. Minecraft is a finished game with still on-going updates and can offer a lot more than Subnautica like multiplayer, mods, storymode, a lot more survival aspects and a bunch of other stuff.

I didn't know if the one or ones running this channel are members of the Subnautica development team but I didn't know where else to post this or who to send it to. I'll ignore just about all comments made on this as most of my comments tend to get trolled. I'm quite fascinated with this game and I've been looking at the crafting system of it. a while back I said that building large things like the Cyclops shouldn't be possible in one shot with the MVB instead the MVB should only be able to craft the hull leaving bulkheads, bridge bubble, docking bay doors, docking bay arms, engine, and external impellers. to be added by the player simply to make it a more involved process, tho I've thought on it more and a upgrade to the MVB could be a fix to that or a dry dock that can craft the Cyclops. since then I've been looking at the first stages of crafting, when raw materials are gathered they should be put through the fabricator to convert them into usable and more easily stored materials. in the case of metals a ingot should be the outcome not raw looking hunks as in the case of titanium. when the savage is recovered and processed a ingot should be the outcome with a condensed ingot, marked with a two by five grid patter on the top and bottom of it as well as being a heaver but easier way to store the materials. there is no doubt that your game is fantastic and beautiful but the crafting system is far to simplified to be realistic even in a sci-fi setting with tech that seams to build on a molecular level. my last thought is that a charging station for batters and power cells should be added to the game and hatch's for the base really need to be replaced with airlocks.

To all those multiplayer fans. This mode won't come anytime soon. The release of this game will be full single player. From what I have red, Devs said that maybe in the future they will make such a thing. But it will take a long time. It is because making the game multi, would take too many resources and time to develop. The whole game would need to be more or less revamped.
i think some more islands would be a great addition, you obviouslt want it mostly ocean but islands are a nice change of pace. as well as some more vehicles, maybe a surface skimming dive boat? with storage boxes and a place for dive reels. the farming is a very needed addition but we also need more creatures. then after all that multiplayer. but that step should wait a bit till they have enough in game for multiple people

They need to work on shading and lighting for the fruit trees and seamoth. I found sometimes they turn completely black, even when the surroundings are lit up.

I'm curious how long this game will continue to grow at this rate. I'm super excited to see what it turns into a year or two from now if they continue to work on and polish it. Really great stuff. Also, I'm REALLY glad they are spending their time and energy making more content for discovery, building, and general gameplay, instead of spending it trying to implement, balance, and tweak multiplayer. Eventually multiplayer might be cool, but I'd rather they spend that time/money/energy on just making more content for solo play before they start down that often very consuming path.
Stasis rifles paralyzing thingy only stays up for about 10 sec when fully charged so it wouldn't work, but it would be cool to build a small base on top of a reefback and steer it if that's what you mean.

I really like this. However, I'm not very fond of how objects placed inside bases are lit. I really hope they can improve lighting inside bases (especially the big hub structures) because it looks really bland and white now. Perhaps they could add the ability to change the color of lights?
Hey uh, my Airsacks keep banging to extreme amounts, so I throw them outside every now and then when there is a large amount. So basicly I create the Airsack Biome, where there is airsacks everywhere outisde of the Base Aquarium, and they keep banging as well, so, yeah.
I really LOVED this game. But after the scanner was added it became annoying. All those stupid data and stuff. Please remove it or make option in-game to remove it.
Okay, so abandonned bases, implying that people have been on the planet ahead of you and the Aurora mission. Also, as the land plants edible now? I'm really loving this new update, so much new stuff to build and play with.
You know, if you read some subnautica stuff on the official site, they say "we work on the multiplayer, but we don't want to left the content updates" (sorry for bad english, i'm french)
Each new update makes me happy I decided to get this game when it was in early access. Every couple of updates I start a new game and put in another 10 hours before I even noticed. What I think would be a good focus now is more story and endgame related content, something to work towards besides having a badass underwater base.
You guys should look into the mantis and pistol shrimp for examples of awesome marine life. These things have been known to attack so fast it causes the water around them to boil. Also, are we going to see any examples of the bends illness or ROV's?
this update is amazing!! some bugs with the plant pots but still soooooo wonderful! you can now supply yourself with water and food without needing to leave your base! 11/10
Looks great, although I'm not sure how I feel about the abandoned bases. I liked that the player was the only person to have inhabited the planet. Somehow, it kind of detracts from the sense of discovery.

I've gotten most of the planters, growbeds, and the like but I'm missing the Wall Planter; not the green wall but the planters on the wall. Anyone know where you get the Wall Planter?
dark rooms would be good for glowing plants and growing them also building a hull so it has practice and farming use. drinkable jelly with edible parts that produce seeds for farming.
No. Don't you see? The bases looks very like the bases the player can build, so maybe its not before but after the Aurora's crash, maybe its the bases of the other survivors

What you guys should do is add places where one sort of predator masses at, like a territory, so the reaper territory would be under the aurora, the stalker territory would be in some creepvine forest somewhere, and the sand shark one would be a cave or a hollowed out mushroom in the mushroom biome. It would be really cool going into the different territory's to steal eggs and etc, and speaking of eggs, my aquarium needs a baby reaper to be added to it

Eventually multiplayer might be cool, but I'd rather they spend that time/money/energy on just making more content for solo play before they start down that often very consuming path.
They need to make an update where you can shoot a Reefback with a Stasis Rifle and then build a mobile home on it.
Stasis rifles paralyzing thingy only stays up for about 10 sec when fully charged so it wouldn't work, but it would be cool to build a small base on top of a reefback and steer it if that's what you mean.

I really like this. However, I'm not very fond of how objects placed inside bases are lit. I really hope they can improve lighting inside bases (especially the big hub structures) because it looks really bland and white now. Perhaps they could add the ability to change the color of lights?
Hey uh, my Airsacks keep banging to extreme amounts, so I throw them outside every now and then when there is a large amount. So basicly I create the Airsack Biome, where there is airsacks everywhere outisde of the Base Aquarium, and they keep banging as well, so, yeah.
Love your guys work. Does the aquarium breed fish? Really would love a fish breeding mechanism. Not necessarily cross beeding as much as just food.

I really LOVED this game. But after the scanner was added it became annoying. All those stupid data and stuff. Please remove it or make option in-game to remove it.

Okay, so abandonned bases, implying that people have been on the planet ahead of you and the Aurora mission. Also, as the land plants edible now? I'm really loving this new update, so much new stuff to build and play with.
You know, if you read some subnautica stuff on the official site, they say "we work on the multiplayer, but we don't want to left the content updates" (sorry for bad english, i'm french)
Each new update makes me happy I decided to get this game when it was in early access. Every couple of updates I start a new game and put in another 10 hours before I even noticed. What I think would be a good focus now is more story and endgame related content, something to work towards besides having a badass underwater base.
You guys should look into the mantis and pistol shrimp for examples of awesome marine life. These things have been known to attack so fast it causes the water around them to boil. Also, are we going to see any examples of the bends illness or ROV's?

this update is amazing!! some bugs with the plant pots but still soooooo wonderful! you can now supply yourself with water and food without needing to leave your base! 11/10

Looks great, although I'm not sure how I feel about the abandoned bases. I liked that the player was the only person to have inhabited the planet. Somehow, it kind of detracts from the sense of discovery.
for some reason after the update all the kelp trees are frozen in place and some things in the constructor menu occur twice? can sb help me?

Is it possible to grow edible plants yet because it seems that fish in an area don't respawn after hunting in it for a while.
I've gotten most of the planters, growbeds, and the like but I'm missing the Wall Planter; not the green wall but the planters on the wall. Anyone know where you get the Wall Planter?

Just bought the game yesterday. Planning to make series on this from the begining.
dark rooms would be good for glowing plants and growing them also building a hull so it has practice and farming use. drinkable jelly with edible parts that produce seeds for farming.

when subnautica devs make an update they know what to do after. it means they start to create new things after an update.

No. Don't you see? The bases looks very like the bases the player can build, so maybe its not before but after the Aurora's crash, maybe its the bases of the other survivors

What you guys should do is add places where one sort of predator masses at, like a territory, so the reaper territory would be under the aurora, the stalker territory would be in some creepvine forest somewhere, and the sand shark one would be a cave or a hollowed out mushroom in the mushroom biome. It would be really cool going into the different territory's to steal eggs and etc, and speaking of eggs, my aquarium needs a baby reaper to be added to it
Did you take out laviathiens? None of them have shown since this update.
I would play this game, cause it looks beautiful as hell, but im deathly afraid of the ocean and what's in it. but im happy watching people play it though so.
