Back when steam locomotives we’re in their infancy, someone predicted that one day they’d go as fast as 35 mph. The public reaction to that was, ridiculous, a man wouldn’t be able to breath at that kind of speed. Y’all mind your health when you’re tearin around on that tractor of yours. 😎👍👏

Nice test! I have checked out a few of your other tractor videos over the last few weeks and I decided to subscribe 👍 these Predator 212 engines are great work horses. I have one I installed about 3 years ago in a old quad and converted it to a small quad truck, I always think it’s funny how people always tell me I need a bigger engine in it even though it can haul 500 lbs of gravel and move large loads of firewood around just fine. I think some people just can’t understand gearing and how much work you can do with 6.5 HP 👍
I’m now in the process of building a 4x4 articulating dump truck and I’m powering it with the 420cc Predator.
    Take care

Mike , Your channel is awesome, I've been subbed to it for a few months now. I watched all the quad truck videos, loved how you plasma cut the Jeep like front end. I've watched sawmill vids, predator dirt bike vids, I'm starting to watch the dumptruck series. Bottom line I'm a HUGE Mike Festiva fan , glad you enjoyed my project.

Keyfarm Right on! Thanks for checking out my channel 👍 I’m definitely happy to have come across your channel, I really like seeing people thinking outside of the box and building cool stuff, that tractor you have there is all someone needs for heavy duty work around there property. I will be looking forward to seeing more videos from you 🙂

Not boring. I like your tractor. I never thought about an experiment like this but if I had been asked, I would have said it’s a waste of time and effort. That’s not the case at all and I’m impressed in addition to being wrong. I just liked and subscribed to see what else lurks outside your box. Be sure to show us some vids of this old war horse doing some real work to earn her keep. Good job! 😎👍👏

  • @CarterCreekFarm

Even in 5th, it didnt seem that the engine was feeling much load. You could probably go down a size or two on the thranny sprocket to get more speed if you wanted to. Get it to bog down in 5th when you start moving and you will still have good pulling gears on the low side.
Its definitely a puller. It would be neat to see it hooked to a pulling sled to see what it could do.

Actually I think your speeds are a little bit faster than calculated. You did the timing from a dead stop which took a second or two to get up to full speed. Rolling by at full speed and starting the clock when you pass the first marker would be more accurate and yield a slightly higher speed. Great Stuff. I'm in Alabama too!
