    If you don't modify the mags, any mags, to stay tight up against the barrel, these hang ups will continue. I messed around with my old 10/22 for, well, longer then I care to remember. Then I seen an old boy on a video take a bunch of cheap mags, build them up with baking soda and superglue, grind them into shape with a dremel, and no more issues! Figured, what have I got to lose? I've got a mess of those cheap 30 round eagle mags, so I tried it on them, and I'll be damned!! They work as bout as well as the tight fitting 10 round mags do with any ammo, if not better!!! ;-)

      Nice tip. We did a similar thing with saw dust and epoxy on a friends boat. I never would have thought of baking soda and glue. I’m squirreling that away for a rainy day.

    Hey bud just watched your video thinking out loud here but I've had good experience with trying to put a couple layers of electrical tape on the rear back corner of magazines to ensure that they sit all the way forward in the magwell. If your magazines have wobble forward and aft it'll cause problems with extraction because the primary extractor is on the top of your magazine.

    Great vid! But let me learn from your vids on how to get my TX22 to work/ cycle with a lakeline optic mount plate!

    • @ZackCarlson
      @ZackCarlson  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It doesn't work with heavier optics that's for sure. When I contacted them they told me they made a different plate for lighter optics like Shield RMS and Sig Romeo 0 that work fine.

    • @mbrad698
      @mbrad698 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      DN I have the same setup you mentioned. I have a cheap ADE red dot on it. Runs flawlessly. I think lakeline sells the ade sites as well but I got mine off of Amazon. It bolts up perfect. My only problem now is I had to remove the site and the lakeline mount. The mount screw which is actually the original rear site screw fell on the ground and went into another universe. Finding a replacement screw is becoming a real pain. I put the regular sites back on using one of the screws that comes with the lakeline plate. So far so good. Try to use it on the lakeline plate but the head of the screw is small to where it will pull through the plate hole.

      @@ZackCarlson Thank you for the reply. I recently (like it received it in the mail yesterday) ordered the optics plate to put my Burris FF3 on it. As I was waiting for it to arrive, I saw your video on you testing 6-7 diff cans on your tx22 w/ optic and none of them cycled reliably. That made me concerned with that exact set-up as I will always have my SiCo Warlock II on it. Now I am hesitant to install the mount plate at-all. Should I return it, or, order the lighter spring that you talked about in you original vid?

Like on my 10" with KiDD barrel I also have a KiDD extractor. just because they were designed to fit but since all barrel manufacturers dont make extractors, getting one from any of the top companies would be a low cost, high value and reliable upgrade!

    Stovepipping is not a mag issue. 22lr is notorious for it's inconsistency in loads. Cheap 22lr is especially bad and prone for light loads. Even expensive shit like Eley can do it. MATCH ammo means it is supposed to be better metered from round to round but even that is not immune to the issue.

    Working with the binary trigger for the last 3 months. I found out i was getting those stove pipes and the mag wasnt fully going into battery.
    I think since watching a few things about tungsten that it is extremely heavy.
    When shooting subsonic ammo you are dealing with lower loads. But you want to cycle faster for machine gun applications.
    Pretty much once you dial it in it because picky for the ammo it eats. But back to the charging handle. The handle is always overlooked for weight. The stock i way lighter. And any subsonic user in forum profess they need a lighter bolt. That why the volquarson firefly bolt was created being only 2.5 ounces or something like that. While the stock bolt is 6 ounces. With the weight of your bolt and your handle looks like it brought up the weight to the point where it cant fully cycle the bolt long enough so that the mag can't catch up(this was my problem). So what i did was go for a kidd aluminum charging handle and polished my bolt from tool markings.
    Im finding out the problem with the binary trigger for the 10/22 hammer spring gets worn out extremely qu that light primer strikes seem to happen faster.
    So with the crazy amount of ammo i spent. I found out for soubsonic on binary mod. You want the kidd high tension spring with a ligher bolt(using kidds scaled and aluminum handle. It seems to get me off with a extremely fast rate of fire without problems.
    For the take down version i notice that the extractor from the kidd bolt to the tactical solutions barrel wasn't fully seating as easy as it seemed counter to fully seating the shell in getting positive strikes.
    If i where you go for a lighter handle and see if you can go back to high tension spring from kidds. Then see where you are. I also polished my mag lips aswell and within the insides to help it not get stuck when loading.
