Same feeling everytime I go home to the Philippines. I'm an OFW currently based in Rome, Italy and it's been 3 years since I last went home. I was supposed to go last year but due to the pandemic, I had to reschedule this year. But yet again I rescheduled again for next year (around July) since I want to be fully vaccinated first and I was hoping quarantine will be less restrictive or, hopefully, will no longer be required.
My wife used to be an OFW who, like many Filipinos, was compelled to go overseas so as to provide a better life for her family. After 4 years together she persuaded me to relocate to the Philippines - which I don't regret - so now it is I who am the OFW. We were supposed to go to Europe last year so my parents could see their grandson but, like you, that had to be postponed. I hope you get back to see your family soon.
We just got back (finished the 10 day hotel quarantine, doing the 4day house arrest now lol). Been away for 3yrs, can’t wait to go to the province and see my mom and siblings

I started tearing up when valet was rolling luggage out in anticipation of meeting George's parents. Then I just dissolved to bawling with each reunion. I have gone sappy with age. This make me emotional, I haven't seen my family since my mom passed away in 2015, family is always a treasure , the feeling, the excitement even though you haven't seen them for a long time it will always be in your heart, so happy that you will get to spend a long time with your family, so treasure every moment, make a lot of memories as much as you can and can't wait to see the baby.❤
