    This has been the best talk about colour I have been so grateful to have experienced. I’m a great fan of “what would happen if” in my work. Now I will be finding out how my favourite colours mix and study the numbers too. Many thanks

    Brenda....one of my art teachers from h.s. Mr. Either, taught me about "lost and found " lines. I was reminded of that truth, I never knew before your teaching how to use the kneaded eraser. Great teaching! So clear. You breathe in between your sentences---so we can think and listen.

    Love that you think of your marvelous talent as a mission in your life. To teach and to have your students understand the watercolors and their transparency abilities to spark paintings. Thank you so much. 🙏

    Why I didn't see this earlier? Accurate colour choice is one of the key factors I struggle with and not many video "tutorials" speak about this matter. All I see in there is showing off by so called artists. Thank you so much !

    Thank you so much for such an instructive video: so well thought-out, beautifully formulated, and delivered with utmost clarity and in optimal tempo! I found the the whole subject of identifying the difference between colours with the same name but that render differently, especially informative and useful! And, of course, I love your work!

    As I am waiting for Watercolor Live to begin, I am making a color book for the watercolors that I own and this was before I viewed this video. I just need to know what a color will do. Thanks for the extra tips!

    What did you use to paint the black line on your swatches (i.e. watercolor, ink)?

    • @brendaswensonwatercolors
      @brendaswensonwatercolors 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rachel, I use a Sharpie Chisel tip. Let the line dry for 10 minutes...otherwise the paint will repel.

    You made want to paint again. I’ve been a painter, graduated as an illustrator. I found it too hard. It still pulls me in like nothing else in the world. What I would like more than anything is to be able to paint and draw. I was never good enough.

      Sally, I use negative sleeves for photography but you can also use coin, baseball card holders. They are easy to find online or high end photography stores.

      I've been a fan of Brenda Swenson since I first saw her Belgium Sketchbook Tour on TH-cam. She's very structured and organized in her teaching. Her onsite outdoor travel journals are wonderful! This video is a small example of the many basic things Brenda teaches. Speaking as an artist with cobwebs in her art supplies, I'm thankful for her method used to "get me back in the saddle." Thanks to Brenda and Streamline for giving this free instructional video!
