The beginning whammy harmonics are sick, I hear a little dimebag Darrell on those ;) great playing and love that you use just enough gain so that all the notes can be heard with those ridiculously high output pickups!

It's effing gorgeous and I almost want one... but the lack of inlays is a deal breaker for me. I'd feel lost in a sea of black frets.
It has fret dots on the top of the neck......
@@JohnZeroSignal Not good enough for me when I'm playing at 12 and above. I can't read them as well without inlays. That's just me.

I mean there's plenty of great options for stick-on fret markers nowadays that don't look and feel like cheap stickers.

How well does the Edge Zero ii stay in tune on this guitar? I’m thinking about getting the 7 string model but kinda hesitant about the tremolo
having owned an edge zero ii i can say it works and feels amazing.

@@jorge0358 The thing is almost any trem can be made to suck or be incredible. 90% of it is in how it's set up. Get a good tech and keep it in good shape it'll be perfect

Preordered the 7 string xiphos. I'm curious if I will have any intonation problems for it being short scale which comes with a 0.64 string gauge tuned to A. How does the strap/balance behave? Heard that some people relocated the strap knobs on older xiphos models.
Is it not 27in ?

I doubt that will cause problems. After all there are guitarists using .070 strings for A tuning with 24.75 scale like Nile guys

How comfy is this guitar shape to sit and play with? Thinking of getting one but I play sitting way more than I do standing.
X shapes are perfect, lets you play normally without any issues or like a classical guitar if ya want to!

Ok I know Ibanez is giving people massive discounts for these on youtube, but be honest bro, does the $1400 price tag justify a shitty matte finish?

stop making guitars with a matte finish! after a month of use they are full of marks, lines, discolorations and already look ten years old!

And then they make a gloss one and everyone cry about fingerprints and scratches 🤣
every finish has cons not just the matte ones.
A gloss finish (especially on a solid color) would show fingertips instantly and constantly, and even a tiny scratch is going to be visible to everyone.
A satin finish only con is the fact that it becomes semi glossy over time and that's noticeable only on solid darker colors mostly.
You could argue that a guitar looks cheaper with a matte finish, i personally think that's subjective considering Mayones makes most of the their Duvell models with a satin finish, and on a figured top too.

@@ChopTonesOfficial hey, will the input jack location get in the way if I'm playing sitting down in the classical position using a wireless transmittor instead of a guitar cable?
@@allboutthemojo no, it wouldn't. It's super comfortable playing classical style
@@musamali7858 but the input jack looks to be in the position where the thigh would be inside the V
@@allboutthemojo BTW footrests are also advised for flying Vs and doing worry about input as I haven't had any issues at all
