My Mom is Zambian & my Dad is Namibian but i reside in Namibia(WHK),we've travelled this route countless times +- 3000km from WHK to Zed & have experienced the exhausting yet Fun journey but it looks more fun & New watching someone else travel this route. . . Great video
Just found your channel. Love it! I've visited Zambia a number of times and this makes me miss it so much. Wishing you safe travels from a new subscriber based in England.
@@NickfrNamibia it's better than anything on the television itself at the moment. It's very well produced, it's as though you're part of a 10-man TV crew or something.

I did this border town in 2018, stopped at the same shopping centre as you. entered Zambia after 50 years!!!!! Turned towards livingstone. Lived in livingstone between 1968 and 1973. So will be interested to know what north looks like for my next trip.
@@NickfrNamibia cool! planning to go north on next visit (provided the big wigs have not blown up the world by then) - all the way to the source of the Zambezi.
Yes especial mongu to kalabo the view is nice. It has a very enjoyable view people should always come to this plain view.Guys don't be left out come and see Barrolse flood plain..
Travelled this route late '70s. Very beautiful but no tarmac, no bridges, no petrol stops, no coca cola or beer, hotels/rest houses and yes absolutely no photographs! Plenty game and military checkpoints. Thanks for the wonderful video.
There has been significant increase in trade and use of Namibian port facilities by DR Congo in the last few years, there’re are a lot of Namibian trucks transiting Zambia between DRC and Namibia every day.
Thanks for the informative video although the road had potholes in several places. Hope they fix them soon especially that they’re collecting some little toll fees.
Really hate people that go to places and just return with complaints....here's a thought, it wont matter if they fixed them if you never come over.....staggering right? I know
Yes I did Alan. The Interpol officer checked it against my vehicle registration document and passport. After that he inspected the vehicle checking the chassis and engine no. Yes I had a Namibian police clearance certificate. I've added the entire process in the video description.
@@NickfrNamibia they are supposed to collect levy on movement of products across district borders, eg fish. I still wonder what could have attracted a charge. Enjoy your trips 😉
Zambian are diferent species in world of crocodiles 🐊 if you give them food they will let go. All SADCC members countries authorities enjoying this privilege. Wich I wouldn't blame them due to what they earn.

Enjoy the journey Boet. Thanks for the video.
Exactly🤣 and I haven't even showed you the worst!
I was in Mongu 2018 for kuomboka Ceremony
I really wanted to see that
Lovely!!! Would love to see a longer video of the drive through the flood plains.
Yeah I missed out on that. So many people on the road. I dont like filming them without consent and not a lot of places to stop.
Definitely subscribing
This is home for me. Very spiritual place barotseland. Hope they continue to sort out the roads and get the game parks more consolidated
I loved it there. Especially my time in Liuwa Plain

Now there's plenty of shops, fuel, cellphone recharge sellers, police, trash, potholes. photographs, videos and no game

Its crazy right. I see more Namibian trucks in Western Zambia than I see Zambian ones.

I saw the female motor driving video of Zambian roads!
I was warned about this road in Zambia!_

Just wondering what is the basis for your conclusion because Zambia is reasonably big and diverse!!
We need border less Africa
that would be nice...
How much did you pay in total at the Zambian side? @NickfrNamibia
cant remember the exact amount...about USD100 in total
