From someone born and raised in Lusaka. This was beautiful to watch.. enlightening. A beautiful couple 💑 showcasing Zambia 🇿🇲. I work in the Rhodespark Area..lol.
David Livingstone did not discover Zambia. Zambia already existed before he came here. Just like he did not discover Mosoi-o - tunya. It was there already.
Ofcourse! Only meant to say, that he led the exploration of the area that eventually led to religious/missionary activities and later European colonisation - would that be right?
@@TheBackpackstersDavid Livingstone was the first European to document the Victoria Falls and so helped the outside world know about them. So you saying that he discovered them is not entirely inaccurate if one is talking of making them known beyond their local community.
You guys are such a beautiful and humble couple. Thanks again for visiting our modest and laid-back country. May God keep blessing you as you further explore the continent.
Come to mandevu junction not Rhoades Park. Here in mandevu you will see great people great infrastructure and everything beautiful here. Hopefully u will come 😊
Inspired by you and the Great Noraly from Itchboots, i have led down my tools and want to explore the world on 2 wheels and show people the other sides that no one shows them. I am really inspired by what you do and cant wait to reach your level. I have started touring Zambia on a motorbike and i have first started with Chililabombwe town and i will move to chingola and other towns. i will show you the culture and people and way of life in these areas. tag along guys.
It actually used to be called the federation of Rhodesia and Nyasaland (Central African Federation). Rhodesia comprised Zambia and Zimbabwe, Nyasaland is modern day Malawi.
David Livingstone was an explorer and had nothing to do with the colonisation of Northern Rhodesia - Cecil John RHODES was responsible for the colonisation of Southern Rhodesia , he was a British Diamond magnet based in South Africa , and founder of the biggest Diamond company in the world - De-beers Diamond company .
haha thats the police building opposite the Levy mall, i live close to the mall, lusaka is not really a walking city, you should try the food though nshima its good!!,
The man on the bank notes breaking free from the shackles is a real man, can't quite remember his name but he broke free from chains just like that during the fight for freedom. I will try to ask my mum for his name, she told me years ago but cant remember.
@ it is very interesting. His name is Zanco Mpundu Mutembo. He was a protester who was imprisoned in front of 18 soldiers and was told to break the chains or get shot. However, he successfully broke the chains. He lived a long life and died at 85 years old. He was also a freedom fighter.
Hello guys thank yiu for this vlog. How is the ater supply and wifi situation currently? I heard there is a major drought currently affecting these two things and also causing prices of food to skyrocket. How factual is this in your experience?
Yeah, the draught has made things quite challenging. We did not experience too much of a water problem first hand, but there's definitely an impact here. Extended load shedding is common right now too - so pumping water, Wifi, cooling - all impacted. Food prices were alright.
Omg! Dude! Did you just say David Livingstone discovered ZAMBIA? That's a huge misnomer! David Livingstone came to ZAMBIA in the 18:00s and found the natives here... He was just the first caucasian to sight the Victoria Falls.
People saying David Livingstone did not discover Zambia, can you tell us who did? K100 to whoever knows! Coz the English is clear, he was moving towards Zambia and he discovered it. You are confusing discovery with invention. Discover kusanga not ukupanga😂😂😂😂

Came all the way from India only to come eat vegan shawarma in Lusaka? You remind me of an Indian friend visiting Zambia a few years back on a work tour and I made it a must he could have a memorable stay. I was frustrated because he kept insisting on eating spicy indian food on each night out. I one evening threatened to give up on him and he came back apologetic the following morning promising he'd never again take my effort at hospitality for granted. .... and then he tasted spicy braii chicken at Family 24 Northmead. You could honestly do better. LOL
There's very little vegetarian options besides Shima, beans and chips! If you have useful recommendations, please share them! Its good to be less judgmental about someone's food choices without knowing more about them - right? 😊
@@TheBackpacksters Well, we all have an opinion. I just wanted you to make effort trying to experience true Zambian life. You can not afford coming to Africa and try to show the world street life from your premeditated perspective. Try to be part of us. interact with us more. We'll give you more. I saw your Kamwala Market video and wondered why you didn't ask for a vegan meal there. Believe me , nshima is the main meal in Zambia, but it would be insulting to ignore the diverse relishes that come with it, vegan or not.
