    Great video!! I do have a question for my lumix g85. On the focus ring, when I adjust it, everything goes blurry and won’t have anything in focus. Although I thought it was just a way to blur the background. Any idea to utilize it?

      You need to use the focus ring to focus onto a specific subject. It seems that you're spinning the focus ring too much and getting everything out out of focus. Rotate it slowly and observe how the focus plain shifts.

      @@justalexhimself okay I will give that a try it’s just that when I did it slowly it still blurred out my subject. It’s weird

    Hi alex, Thanks for your interesting video. I learned a lot from it. But I have a question if i may: After ordering and returning a GX9 at mpb with a very sturdy( hard to move) dedicated exposure compensation dial, i bought , again at mpb the gx80/85. Now i'm a little worried about the freely moving sensor. Let me explain: when i turn off the camera and remove the lens i can see the sensor move freely and bouncing agains the side of the frame around the sensor. Is this normal? If it isn't i'll have to return it once more! Thanks for your advice. Have a nice day. Kind regards! Herman

      @hermanverbaeten5894 hi Herman.
      Yes, that's completely normal. The censor on mft cameras that have ibis bounce around inside the camer body when switched off. It's the same on my Lumix GH5 and GH5mk2 and I've had them for years now! :)
      So, no need to return anything.

    How to turn off constant notifications from body Lumix GX80 about setting proper focal length (35mm - I use manual lens Arrisans 35mm 1.2 )? Always from sleep or turn on asking me. Thank you for help

    I love how people hate on Panasonic Autofocus but really it works fine especially in this scenario. Such a good camera still.....

    do you think it’s worth purchasing a lumix gx80 that comes with a 12-32mm lens and 35-100mm lens all for £425? in 2021?

      @@Alyssa-kc7vi fair enough, you might want to consider buying a used GX80 and a speed booster for Canon to Micro Four Thirds. It will be cheaper and you will be able to use Canon Glass on this camera too

    Very easy to understand MF with that video, but how shoot kids who are running for exemple ? even in AF mode especialy with the Panasonic 20mm which don't have AF-C ?

    • @justalexhimself

      Haha yeah , sorry with fast moving subjects and that particular lens you're kinda screwed. The only thing you can really do is just stop down to f8 so that everything is more or less in focus and focus on infinity.... and then just pray.

    when your Focus mode is set to M. you don't need 'continuous AF' off. mine doesn't AF when i do that. so i just leave it ON.
