Here is a great way for those who are not the best embroiderers, you can hide the excess yarn in back by tracing a piece of Green Felt the shape of your applique/coaster, and use hot glue attach it to the back so no one will see your messy back! I use it even though I am fairly good at embroidery. It gives it a finished look too!
Heads up: on Round3 of the face he says that the repeating pattern is 2 double crochets followed by 1 but I think he ment to say 2 Half doubles then 1 Half double because if you watch closely, he does Half doubles.
What Cute Little Leprechauns !!
Very cute 🥰
Thank you! 🤗
Turned out to be the perfect project at the right time for my young crochet student. Thank you so much for demonstrating how to do this cute pattern!

That is so cute. I wish I had seen this sooner but will be making f go r my sister & I next year. Plus these would be cute t add onto a table cloth.
I'd like them for refrig magnets too!
too Cute. a must do for next year. don't have time noe😣😣🍺🍺
cute! you could sew two together, wrong sides facing, to hide the embroidery and make them reversible. Sewing felt to the back might also work.
