    cute! you could sew two together, wrong sides facing, to hide the embroidery and make them reversible. Sewing felt to the back might also work.

    Here is a great way for those who are not the best embroiderers, you can hide the excess yarn in back by tracing a piece of Green Felt the shape of your applique/coaster, and use hot glue attach it to the back so no one will see your messy back! I use it even though I am fairly good at embroidery. It gives it a finished look too!

    Heads up: on Round3 of the face he says that the repeating pattern is 2 double crochets followed by 1 but I think he ment to say 2 Half doubles then 1 Half double because if you watch closely, he does Half doubles.
