It’s pretty rare to find someone who can, and is willing to explain the why behind this type of sound design. Most of the stuff on TH-cam is ‘make this sound’ and doesn’t actually explain what each effect is doing, doesn’t help you actually take these techniques and put your own spin on them. They also usually don’t sound anywhere near as good as the sound they are trying to replicate. This is the best neuro bass tutorial I’ve seen, including ones I’ve paid for. I’d pay for this
thanks so much! that's really kind of you. I like the idea of keeping education as accessible as possible and any of the premium stuff can be sought out on the website. I'm glad you found it useful!
@@Alckemy oh I’m not complaining haha. I’m always looking at learning and expanding my production toolset. I actually really like your mindset of free learning, pay for the presets if you don’t want to learn it. Ultimately the best value is free.
Incredibly helpful masterclass. I love how it doesn't just tell you 'we're making this exact sound, so tweak all the knobs to these exact values and recreate my preset', but teaches you the how and why. Big thanks for that my man. That said, I'm still shit at making neuro-basses. :')
I appreciate this being uncut to actually see the experimenting in action vs someone having an already prepared reece and breaking it down or just showing a general detuned saw and a notch. Love the in depth stuff.
I'm honestly so happy that you are making more videos, I think Copycatt told me about your Neuro guide like 1 year ago and now the season 3 is just blowing my mind. Thanks a lot man and keep up
you should advertise, granted I haven't watched ur vids in a long time but I didn't know such a thing existed and im going to check it out now@@Alckemy
Awww yesss I found it. I saw a single one of these at one point and it's what inspired me to get Phase Plant. I love that this synth can basically do EVERYTHING and I've been following various tutorials by various producers (e.g. Virtual Riot, SeamlessR) and recreating them in PhasePlant with a decent amount of success. I watched your first in this series and made a gnarly couple reese patches. Now I'm going to watch the rest tonight and tomorrow to learn much more :) I enjoy your workflow (esp. discovering things via randomless) and explanations and soothing voice!
this is hands down the best tutorial ive seen in my life lol. dude this is perfect for people just getting started and its exactly what i was looking for.
@@Alckemy I'll probably just watch it here on youtube, but I want to have this whole thing saved anyway. Additionally, I'll just buy an aeturnum pack when I get phaseplant. I wanna financially support the good work you do.
I've only followed the first part so far. So, I have a question. it's not a bit complicated to make bass loud enough with all its filters which will cut a lot of frequencies and increase the peak value
No bs about Alex Reece not trademarking the “Reece” sound or at the least the name. Same could be said about Dom and Rolands “Tramen” break or triple amen.

So good that I’m actually upset that this is free. Stil yet to go through the last two.

It takes time haha. Even with the formula there’s a matter of taste to develop. You’ll get there and thank you so much for the kind comment

Did I answer all your bass design questions? Do you have what it takes to become a neuro master? or are you just gonna look for the presets?
We want dem presets!! ;)
@@Nothingspeshalwaysfresh for you, I’ll send you whatever you want^^ for everyone else, ALCKEMY.com
This was everything I could ask for and then some more. Im sure this translates to Ableton pretty well too?

Gonna go download this whole thing when I get back to my setup.
It’s helpful to me if you watch it on TH-cam instead:)

Thanks dude, you're a great teacher!
Thanks for watching! Amazing last name too xD
Not the first time I've heard that haha. What version of Phase Plant do I need to run the preset packs you have for sale on your website?

@@Alckemy effectively ....Do you think this is a good way to saturate pre and post filter so as not to have too many frequency holes?
Would recommend you keep watching :) I’ll likely answer all your questions

the classic amen break is pretty heartbreaking with what happened to him
