- Hello fisherpeople, in this video I test the lightest MIFINE rod, this one it's a super ultra light rod, sorry for the traffic noise but that was a bridge with cars always passing.
Worth mention as I say in the video the rod is very manageable even with thicker and stiffer fluoro, I straight cast landing always on the same exact spot.

I think for a rod review, its important to see the rod when you hook a fish so we could see how it bends. Almost all your rod bending view (when you caught a fish) are out of camera view. So may be the next video we could see more of that. TQ
Thanks for the feedback, I'm still working on the craft of video filming, my idea is at some point($) run a proper 2 camera setup so we have a POV and a overall shot.

Very rough edit on flooded conditions but amazing fun!
Trying to choose between thr motral and this model. Plan is for casting 0.5- 1g plus with v half inch lure (mirco fishing) as you have tested both are you able to share your opinion on the better choice
Motral Draw, it's faster and handles better the 1gram the Illusion it's an excellent rod but it's truly XXXUL it performes amazingly on its cast range, the Motral Draw can go up to 2/2,5 grams, you get a more versatile rod. Hope it helps!
The grip/ reel set is meant to be mounted the other way round, what was Mifine thinking when building these rods?
I think balance is what they have in mind and also since it's so bare bones they put the meatier part were you put your hand. I can say it's very functional.
@@RicardoReviewthat makes sense! It's not very crucial anyway with rods that weigh next to nothing.
They have the rod "above" this one on casting weight, the Mifine Motral Draw that has the same reel seat and it's mounted the other way.
I've bought one 1 month ago, for 30 euros on Ali. I love it as i can throw very small cranks or spinners with it, or float fishing for bait. I bought the one with the fuji rings, in 198 cm. I can throw 2 grams on it without problems, but i will not go more than 3 grams.
Are the Fuji guides good?
I'm throwing from .3 grams to .7 grams in this video with no problems weren't you surprised with the pulling capabilities of the rod? I was.
Have you tried the plume? If so How does it compare to the plume in terms of thinness of tip, and bend of rod

I have the Mavllos OCKA with a similar design and the Ultima on the mail I can say that it's not for the same end.
The illusion it's the best rod for small fish wading, the plume from what I know it's a more versatile rod that can cast ultra low weights.

@RicardoReview lol, I have the plume, it's a great rod for ultralight lures, I am currently browsing for a tubular tipped stream trout rod, but I might need to go jdm for that

I mainly use #0.6 because cheaper braid is a bit inconsistent.
@@RicardoReview Thank you and on the end of system you using some fluorocarbon? I heard some say that for that rod only nanofil is okay.
I always run a fkuorocarbon leader minimum 59 cms, usually 6lb line or 4lb.
what is wrong with unstoppable?
Nothing, is just that this rod when I ordered it had me worried it would be like a wet noodle even the first time I hold it I 1% of me thinking this was to thin to work, but after I test it he got me even more impressed with Mifine.
The Unstoppable is an excellent rod at that price point, this is an excellent rod.
To fish around my local river this is it, all I need.
With the Unstoppable you feel the lure on the bottom scrapping, with this one you feel the lure going on different currents, it's hard to explain, also hard to explain is the accuracy, I rated it the same as the Unstoppable but the Illusion Slash is weird because since it's a lot thiner you have more jiggle and I caught myself with the lure were I wanted dealing with more feedback but knowing wich wanna was valid. From all the rods I tested this year I rate them at top, but the Unstoppable is more versatile because of the lure rating and the backbone.

@@RicardoReview thank you very much for the comprehensive answer. what interests me is to buy a light horse macarel rod. I catch them mostly with soft silicone baits. The XF action did not work well for me, and the respected ytuber ifish showed that.
I'm a little confused by all the actions of fishing rods and everything and I don't know what to choose...
Than from the two of them is the Unstoppable, cause the Illusion is too light. But it depends if you fish from rock/pier/boat all of that affects if you need length/power/backbone.

This rod havent got 0.2-0.8 this is fake! In reality 0.8- 3 g, ihave got this one and test it. But this one is the best for catch, work with fishes.
I've only used under 1gr on mine.
