The only porting oattern I hate is the hexagonal one, but the reel indeed feels cheap, because is relatively cheap and light, I only got it out of curiosity, but in the water is pretty serviceable as you will find on the Thursday video.

You will have a blast with sunfish, just grab some 1 gram jigheads or a size 10 ewg with a micro texas or cheb rig and have a blast, it's a lot of fun on the harder days to pick this up and sight fish the shallows. Ideal cenario would be small cranks and trout.

@@RicardoReview UL spinning. Looking for a budget spinning reel and short rod combo, id apprecate your opinion. Id like to keep the reels under 30 dollars as im buying 3 for my kids. And a rod recommendation around 5 feet under 30 dollars each preferably carbon, but fiberglass works too. Thanks

As I said before in the comments, I went fishing the shallows with it and caught sunfish and small bass, had no problem using jigs and ewgs(I had that problem with the spinning version). I will try on chubs when I have the opportunity, but it's very fun to cast 😆

PS: you need to move 😂 for a trout area with area trout

I don't really care, but there is what seems to be a less flashy version of this blank and I will be ordering it in the next few weeks.

It's better suited for casting, I've recorded a session this week and caught bass and sunfish with it, it's a joy to cast.

Just used this rod yesterday, the casting version with a competent reel is a lot more interesting than the spinning version. Video of a water test coming soon, thanks for the feedback 😀

Very interested to see how it works, looking forward to your next videos since im also thinking of buying one as a budged rod for my Kingdom micro monster , just to test out how an actual bfs rod feels to use. 😁

I had the spinning version and now have the casting version.

It's harder for me to test "heavier" tackle that's why I stopped buying it lol I took this rod out 2 or 3 times, dad as fished with it and it's pretty decent, I recommend if using use the upper half of the rated cast weight. If I can catch fish with it the video will be done.

I only have the cheap one and luckily have good mail service, but seems like you had a string of back luck, was the packaging also damaged?

Good thing it's not a one off, my friend's drag was weak out of the box. Both ones I had/have were/are fine with no drag issues.

Take the drag star off and just see what the situation is with the washers. Maybe something is restricting it from being tightened

It's a conundrum 😂 been there today again, overcast and rainy, so less activity. My friend was using the Plume and was struggling to keep them hooked. I had a lot less fish but more hook %>

I used 10 grams and didn't sweat, but couldn't really go that heavy, there were rocks ready to snag me. PS there will be a follow up on some tackle

Can only harvest in some rivers, not this one. But they are pretty good sliced and fried.

The rod is very good looking, after assembling and disassembling some times the rod tolerances are pretty good and it's so snug.

I don't own the Ghost Blade yet, but I have the Outrange(also tubular) and had a friend using the Showtime(also tubular) and it was on par with the Illusion throwing custom 0.3 jigheads, with the rod being faster.

This one is sturdy and has a more adjustable and fluid drag, Legency is a bit smoother, lighter and has 2 spools with one shallow.

I was really surprised, not with the "quality", carbon tubes are cheap these days, but the functionality of the rod. Just enough to scratch the itch of fishing 😁 on a compact size.

To be honest I have never ordered anything from any Chinese sites.. but this Pure Lure seems quality 🎣👍
