      @mtd6797 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ShellieGeigle hi Shellie,
      I finished the 1st tutorial and it did not have the chipboard fence instructions. Should I be looking another place for the construction of the fence?

    • @ShellieGeigle
      @ShellieGeigle  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mtd6797 - I'm so sorry. This was just an album share. I did a tutorial for Magic of Oz without the fence, however, I did do the fence cover in another tutorial - Wild Asters. Here is the link to how I constructed the fence and put it together : Fast forward the video to 55:15 and it will give you the measurements of the pieces needed. www.bing.com/videos/search?q=wild+assters+shellie+youtube&view=detail&mid=53FD12D4064C00EE6C9C53FD12D4064C00EE6C9C&FORM=VIRE

    Shellie, your creativity blows my mind! I find fussy cutting difficult. Can you give me any pointers to help me along? TFS

    • @ShellieGeigle
      @ShellieGeigle  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Barbara Hines - there are a couple ways. I’m not the best fussy cutter but I found I get best results doing the following: One is to cut exactly on the outline of the image. If there are blunt edges, I try to round off. I like to then glue that image down to black (or other color) cardstock then recut around image leaving only a slight bit of colored cardstock showing. - it helps your image stand out and clean it up. The other way is to cut about 1/16” around image. Then I glue it to cardstock like above.

    • @sevenandthelittlestmew
      @sevenandthelittlestmew 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Barbara, I turn the paper rather than scissors (I keep scissors mostly straight) while cutting right along the outline. I do extra trimming of uneven edges afterward. My favorite secret trick?
      I use a water based brush marker (not a Copic or alcohol based marker) and run the top edge of the marker all around the edge of the fussy cut image. It hides any uneven edges that I can’t get right and makes my fussy cutting look a lot cleaner than it really is! 😉
