Finally, another crafter who doesnt do 'over the top' with embellishments! Love the album, its wonderful, love its no fuss trims but still so very gorgeous to look at and thumb through. Another UKer too!!!!
I just came across your wonderful video for Graphic 45 Wizard of Oz album. It is just wonderful. I like how you incorporated pages from the book. The books were childhood favorites of mine and now I am motivated to make an album from this beautiful paper! I look forward to viewing your other videos as well. Thanks so much.
I have all 14 oz books and have had them all my life I love love love them. I truly love your book and your idea of using pages from the original and I am scouring old book shops for some too. 'cause of course I am not cutting up mine lol. love your book TFS xx Deanna
Clare, I only discover Graphic 45 about a year ago. I wish they would bring this paper back! I had no idea this existed. Your album is brilliant and the use of the book pages really made the album. I hate cutting up books but sometimes you just have to do it and I think it put this over the top. Also gave me some inspiration for my current album. I felt like my photo mats were too plain but I think I'll lightly ink them with distress ink and a stencil. Tfs.
love every thing about your mini , my favorite part is how you incorporated the original book of the wizard of oz with the graphic 45 paper so neat . i dont have that collection from graphic 45 but now i want it because i'm so ispired by you. tfs. Lilly
I love this album! I just got this Graphic 45 collection and I can't wait to use the papers. I also love how simple this album is and I love the fact that you used the original book. Great job!
What a wonderful job you did on this album! I love that you incorporated the book in the album, even though I have a horror of desecrating a book! Must be something from my childhood :)
I love your book but I'm most amazed that you did it in one sitting, even if you did stay up all night. Something like this would have probably taken me 40-60 hours, especially with the fussy cutting. I wish I could increase my speed without decreasing my enjoyment of the process, which has to come first.
Oh my goodness...You've out done yourself. This is FABULOUS. Tfs, You're so talented & creative. Love the g45 papers. I can't find them (brand of paper) in any of my craft stores (Michaels, Joann's, Hobby Lobby). I've found some online but I refuse to pay $25+ for a pad of paper. I get mine around $9-$13, for a 12x12 pad. You are a great inspiration. Thank you!!! Krys
I love how you incorporated the real book into you new one. It just sets the pages off. Funny you getting caught up in the creating and staying up all night, amazing how addictive this stuff can be. Are you giving this one away, do you have photos you're thinking of putting in it? Wonderful Album Clare. Patti
@MissJanuaryArts Hi Claudia, thanks so much for your message and kind comments on my album. I bought one 8 x 8 pad and one of each of the 12 x 12 sheets. I didn' t use them all though and probably have enough left for a smaller album or wallet. I felt really bad cutting up the book but was really pleased with how it turned out. lots of pages left in that too. Thanks again. Bw :-) C
@nwlady1949 hi Patti, thanks so much for your lovely message. I keep all my original albums and remake them to order. I'm not sure what photos i'll be putting in it yet though. Bw :-) C
very very much thankies for reloading . :) and i really like what u do... and the way you explain are very easy and easy to follow, thank you for that too... please forgive my poor english.
Uuups. I am So sorry. I did unfortunately hit the thumb down when i started the video.I did the thumb up after and hope that helps. This album is amazing. So creative.Love all your work :-) Anne
I love this album...I have 2 books and will use the rougher copy to cut up and will save the better one to ease my conscience about cutting up the book....I really want to get started but see a lot of work to get into it......I bought a Dorothy dress for Halloween for my Grand daughter but my daughter always had different plans...I had hoped to add pictures of our Grand daughter to the album....but will not be able to do that.....could dress our 3 year old Grand sons up.....but not in the dress I guess....
@msanjanetta Hi there, thanks very much for your message. The silver part that holds the pages together is the large Tim Holtz binder ring and is available on the net. There's a tutorial on my channel that shows you how to make the binder with it in too. Bw :-) C
OMG, this OZ book is incredible! I absolutely love this book.... I have a few pieces of this paper, which I have been hoarding. LOL... So wish that I had bought the whole collection when it was available. Fantastic job; do you ever sell any of your albums?
Hello. I love your vids. Can you tell me where you get your binder clips or rings? not sure what they are called. ....you know the silver part holding the pages to your book together. THanks so much and great work
Hi, this is lovely!!! Thanks so much for sharing all the details. Can you tell me what are the dimensions of this book? Also, do you use black card stock? If you do use black card stock, how to you make it so the edges don't separate after you cut them (do you know what I mean)? I am new to doing this type craft and would appreciate any tips you can give me cause I want to make one of these soon. Thanks so much!!!
I really really love this album, and I am so happy that you realod it because I couldn't see the previous one because of the music restrictions in my country. It's such a great idea to incorporate the book pages, makes it really special. And I love the buttons on top of the tags, such a cute look :D So how many paper pads did you actually use for this album? greetings, Claudia
I think this book is AMAZING! My children and I did a play of the WOZ that I have not scrapped yet. I wasnt quite sure what to do. Thanks for the idea. I have one question...How did you make the pages that fold out? The one with the magenet to be exact. Thanks for you help. Jacquie
Normally in the US we do just say "cut it out" instead of "fussy cut". The only time I hear that term is here on you tube. I think it is a term made up by paper crafters maybe it distinguishes between cutting by hand and die cutting or using larger paper cutters.
Wow! Such attention to detail. So much to look at. This is exquisite...I love it. The use of the original book was inspired. You're so so clever.
Hi Trudy, thanks for calling b y and leaving your comment. Great to hear you were inspired by the album. Happy crafting :-) C
