I hesitate with the goat talk in regards to Aaron, I feel that he still has a lot going. he is definitely up there #LEGEND
Super Rugby is a dead horse. They need to ditch it. Put all the funding behind the current NPC , it has all the history and tradition. Games against Aus teams could be towards the end of the season as a 'European Cup' style competition perhaps including Japanese sides as well.
If you look at the whole picture NZ needs Australia in the competition

In regards to competition, Super Rugby has decimated the grass roots of Aus rugby. They’re losing talent to League, the pathways are not there. It’s dying there and you just need to look back at its slow destruction from 2003 to now.
We have those pathways in NZ rugby but they work better in the NPC system. This Super Rugby model is an NFL model. Different country/culture. There’s more history and rivalry in NPC than you can create in Super Rugby.
