How's it going guys? This week we're writing a song inspired by Swedish Metal band GHOST.
On Monday I covered their track "Rats" which you can watch here - • GHOST - RATS | ONE MAN...
This is a band I knew I wanted to dive into when I started this channel, and I really think this is the best song yet! Writing a big stadium rock anthem with spooky organs and a choir of backing vocals was amazingly fun, so I hope you all enjoy it!

And just a comment on Tobias' solo style. They're certainly not shredders, in fact, the closest thing to shredding was the 1st short solo on 'Faith'. And I'm happy they aren't shredders! That's what makes Ghost solos unique- the phrasing and the note selection to create a mood and atmosphere.
You have a kick ass singing voice too BTW!

Honestly dude that's how I try to compare my songs to the band, if I can't close my eyes and hear the original singer singing the part, it's not good enough. That being said, hearing Tobias actually sing this would be like the goal of this channel achieved forever

They’re a real enigma from a songwriting perspective, Tobias Forge is an absolute magician as a songwriter in my opinion. I think I’ll revisit Ghost at some point to see how they’ve evolved, I’m such a massive fan and have been since 2012!

@@lucasvanommen4646 on first listen I was really into Watcher in the Sky, but the more I sit with the record, the more I think Respite on the Spitalfields could be one of Ghost’s best written songs to date, for me it’s topped Deus In Absentia as their best closer

Ghost is one of my all time favs and this song you've created would be spectacular even as a full band but it's absolutely amazingly stupendous as a one man band! Mind blowing! Genuinely the arrangements of the vocals in Ghost songs is absolutely incredible, the harmonies in the choruses of Rats are absolutely absurd

It’s crazy how I hear aspects from each album in this song. The vocals sound like opus the keyboard and tambourine sound like prequel the guitar and bass sound like infestetumum And the drum rhythm sounds like third album
Really appreciate this dude, honestly I couldn't choose specifically which era to go for but I felt the riff definitely suited the later albums slightly more, however I'd love to come back and do a song that's more specifically Opus-style as that record has such a distinct sound

the song he wrote from a mix standpoint is good but a double or quad tracking for the rythem guitar would of been nice cause in the chorus i couldnt really hear the rythem guitar
