Im looking to get into staining an it seems this would be a way cleaner option than staining after the job is completed. From your experience do most fence contractors that do this have their wood dry sufficiently to be able to do this?
Wood can be purchased kiln dried, or can be dried in the shop prior to installation in order to prestain on site. Wood does need to be at a 13% moisture content to be stained.
