    Well I guess I must be the only one who enjoyed this video. And may I add a suggestion? Using a grater would maybe be faster than cutting up with scissors. Just a thought. And the left over soapy water? Put into an empty hand soap container. Nothing wasted. And use the soapy wash cloth in shower. Thank you for sharing this. Again. I enjoyed it. xoxoxoxo

      @@BRPFan Line a tuna tin with a washcloth and press the wet, grated soap bits into the tin. Fold the cloth over the soap, put the lid on top of the cloth, and put a heavy weight (a large can or jug) on top to compact it further. You end up with a round bar and a soapy cloth.

    Options: add essential oils to the warm water before dunking. This will give a good scent to the soap but probably ruin the cloth.
    Another one is to add ingredients you want for a shaving soap and press into an empty shave soap container. Thanks for a great process where I'm not handling lye or heating soapy food in the microwave.

    Nice video, I almost use the same process, except I use the grater attachment on my Kitchen Aid mixer, done in seconds and use a washcloth but use a very small loaf pan to make a large flat rectangle, then cut that in half and end up with two squares. The left over water can be used for washing a variety of things, like throw it in a load of clothes or maybe even for mouth wash for your potty-mouthed cousin?...hahahaha....

    the way I do is when I've used a bar enough that it's become too thin to hold comfortably, I get a new bar and use it once for whatever job I'm doing (usually taking a shower). At the end of the shower, the used-once bar is wet. Then I put the used-once, wet bar in the soap dish and put the old, thin bar on top of it. By the next day they dry together, and they're pretty well fused (sometimes it takes two or three days.) No squeezing needed. With all due respect, much easier than your way. My vid about it th-cam.com/video/xfJMWsaRoJY/w-d-xo.html

    • @lookagainknowonecares4124
      @lookagainknowonecares4124 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Been doing your way for years. Works best if you don't let the old bar break to pieces. Just mash old bar onto the next new bar while your still in the shower.

    • @gregdahlen4375
      @gregdahlen4375 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lookagainknowonecares4124 Well I don't like the feeling of mashing how it makes my hands and arms feel so at the end of the shower I've just been setting the old bar on the new bar and let them dry together. They stay together okay this way although I do have to handle the bar more gently than if I mashed them together.

    Then loosen from bowl with butter knife and you can make dump into a small margarine container Or just shape soap still will be hot. Leave 2 days before using. I made mine it look Half a ball. Feels good on your feet. Hot soap is just like hot wax! So be careful.
