Hey there Inja, I bought my mint condition 2006 FZ6 2 1/2 years ago as my first street bike. I did a ton of research ahead of time and you were a major factor in my purchase decision. I'm super sad to see you sell yours, but wanted to just say Thanks for the info and help you've provided along the way. I wouldn't have owned this bike without you! I'll stay subscribed and keep watching your videos because frankly, you just seem like a good person. Keep the vids coming! :)
In my opinion, this is the best bike for money period. 98 hp out of the box and it revs like hell, while you're comfortable. I just tuned mine up for this season, I'm sad to see yours go, brother.
Just got one 2006 with 40 000 km for 2400$ canadian dollars (1765 usd). I'll go get her in 2 days. I CAN'T WAIT! that r6 sound man. gives me shivers since im 10 y-old.
Got a 2007 in black back in November. I'm so glad to hear that it's such a good beginner bike, since many of my friends kept telling me 600cc was too big. I'm gonna miss your maintenance vids, though
You'll still be getting them. 👌🏼 As I said, this is going to be going to a good friend of mine, and we'll be riding around together and I'll help him with maintenance to do videos still.
You sold me! First bike after Honda CB400SS 40 yrs ago. At age 60 now, I can enjoy riding hours without backaches. Don't need to drag a knee or approach 14,000 rpm to have fun. This bike does it all!
Hey, really happy I found your site. I have this exact same bike. Same year, color etc. Bought it privately last summer for $3800 (Canadian ie about$2850 US) Only 3500 original KM on it, so looked like it just came off the showroom floor. Doing the math, the original owner was logging an average of 320 KM per year, or about 200 miles. I have no regrets. Just reinstalled the battery day before yesterday, turned the key, pushed the starter button and boom, fired instantly. This is not my first bike, but I have not ridden since 2006 when I was nearly killed on my Honda V65 Magna. Took me a lot of years to get the courage back up to ride again. I wasn't sure what I wanted in a bike, but when I test drove a 600 sport bike, I was astonished at the power. I'm sure it would keep up to my old Magna which, back in the 80's was the fastest production motorcycle available. So I decided a 600 would be all the bike I want or need. Then I came across your twin and for the price and insanely low mileage, it was a steal. I put 2600 KM on it last summer, which was almost the same as the original owner over the course of 11 years. And I bought it in August! Well, I'm 62 years old and couldn't be happier with this bike. Like you said, great for puttering around town, but is a rocket when you need it to be. Expect I'll be keeping mine for many years to come. Thanks for your videos. Lots of really good info. Cheers!
Notso EasyRyder , Great post I enjoyed reading it. Similar story to yourself in 2006 I had a bad accident, drunk driver drove into my lane coming from opposite direction hit me head on, I remember looking her in the eyes as she was about 20ft away, anyway, wheelchair job for 2 months back in work 8 months later. I did jump back on the horse, I had GSXR 750' before bike I had an accident forced apon me, Ha I was riding for 9.5 years everyday basically before it, had spills off bikes my own fault woop's. I have the same bike you do now. All i can say is its the best bike I've ever owned. (wanted one since they came out, Had an old Fz1 then, I have the fizzy 4 years now) I have mine set like Inja, lower bars, better fork springs and it matches the gsxr for fun. Best all around bike on the market even now for me. I'm a seasoned driver like yourself, monsoon rain, snow, etc. Be safe an enjoy, oh and she like gentle cruising too but great sticky tyre's lower bars and the bike is a track tool. Loads of vid's on YT . i'll be keeping mine for many year's to come too, :) again be safe , From Ireland.
I just bought a 2008 fz6 that was dropped (only scratched a bit) so I got a great deal and I think I'm in love. Have only ridden it for the two hour ride home in the cold rain but not even that couldn't ruin the experience. I had only ridded an 1100cc shadow sabre before this and it is a dream. I love this bike and expect to love it for years based on your videos. Speaking of your videos thanks for all the maintenance videos I'm sure they will come in handy!
Just got a 2004 fz6 with 8k miles and rebuilt the forks new chain sprocket ⚙️fluids and she’s running like a charm this is a great bike I’ve put about 1000 miles on her since last week 😅I can’t stop riding her
Thnx for the review, this is one of the best ones. I fell in love with this bike the moment I saw it. Want to get it ones I can finish my driving licence exams, which you know, is something I can't do right now...
Same bike here. Took off most of the rattly plastic and made it naked. Other mods and repairs were fun and easy. It reminds me of my Toyota trucks - reliable, affordable and easy to work on. One thing you mention that is very true is there is another machine lurking in the upper RPM's. When you unleash that power it is always a surprise. With Michelin Road 5 tires handling improved significantly. Only one small complaint is I am 6'1" and it does feel slightly undersized compared to other bikes I've ridden over the years. Take care brother!
Got mine last year, S2 2007, blue color with just 620 miles on the clock. Beautiful bike and comfortable even for tall lads. I'm 6 5 btw. Thanks for all the cool vids man!
I bought a modded 05 fz6 just over a month with 17000 miles for $1300. I've already done over 1000 miles and I'm in love with it. Wish I had the black frame and motor though.
I've always wanted an FZ6 or an FZ1.... but back in 2011 I ended up getting the FZ6R as my 1st bike. It was by no means a bad choice though....she has served me very well almost 8 years later with nearly 50,000 miles! But tbh, I feel that any Yamaha motorcycle is a winner in my book.
I agree, Yamaha has great bikes that are very reliable for long periods of time. I rode with a guy with an FZ6r for a while and it's a cool bike, too. He likes it a lot.
Hi, where did you find that bottom belly and how much it cost? As i'm the new baked owner of FZ6 and would like to upgrade so any information is more than useful. Thanks
2007 Fz6 low miles, seller said he lowsided it the damage isin't too bad from what I can see. Some paint on the Case cover and a new fairing should do. 1700$ thoughts?
I just picked up a 06 with 5500 kilometers on the odometer. It’s literally like a new bike. While looking up info on these things your videos keep popping up. I’m excited to see what I can do to it and how many kms I can rack up 👌 What’s your favorite mod to yours?
Heck yeah, man!! You'll love it. I have done a lot of simple mods with it and like them all. I actually have a video about All Mods (linked at the end of the video at the end screen)
Im riding Fz6 s2 Fazer with 74k km’s on it. Its from 07. Always been looked at after 10k km’s by garage. Had every year winter maintenance and still start and go. I’ve heard that these motors can easy go 150k km’s with good maintenance. Maybe even more. 😄 very good beginner/intermediate bike since at low rev its easy going. At high rev it packs a punch 😎.
@@TheInja Hmm youre right. The bike seems to have been taken care of very well throughout the years. Going to to get the price down to 2000 flat and if i can, ill take it, thanks bro!

I have an Fz6 S2, and no way is it suitable for a new rider, and I've been on the road 42 years.
I’m 6,5 220 lbs. do you think This bike is too small for me? If so is there something similar that’s a little bigger? I like the idea of the sport bike that’s a little more upright. I don’t want to lay down on a tank

Hi
Is it a good bike to learn on?
Very much so I think.
i wanted it more sporty so - fits lower bars yet leaves the risers in place.
Bars hit the tank any lower. Still lowered it and straighten the position out like 3 inches.
Just bought one 2007 red, with 8000km
Hi , is this bike comfortable for tall riders, lets say 6.2/6.3
I'm 6'2" and I'm plenty comfortable on it.
Saw a 2007 fz6 with a dent in the fuel tank with 20k miles on it for 2300. Worth it?
Depends how bad the damage is 🤷🏽♀️
