Gundam Wing introduced me to the franchise and deepened my love of anime, so it will always hold a special place in my heart. This cover more than does it justice.
Out of all the Gundam main protogonists, Heero will always be my favorite. I watched the show for robots and Heero out here breaking hearts and ripping birthday invitations.
His story is infinitely tragic tho. Keeping the ideals of a dead peace delegate alive. A name he had no intention of bearing. A name of which he has no name. He is just like Trowa. That's why they get along do well. Then Heero becomes entangled with Relena. Another person whos history was another that the organization attempted to bury. He who bears the name of peace but fights. A person who doesn't exist in any records. A nameless, familyless. Orphan of the endless war or humanity. Heero is so relatable as his tragedies never end. An he is smart enough to be aware of this fact. Why do you think he doesnt speak much? Nothing good will come of speaking on the awareness. Notice how when he speaks on it in class, he is quickly shut down? 😃🍻
I never thought I'd hear an English cover of this favorite from my childhood, wow!! The lyrics are such a good fit and I feel it realyl captures the heart of the original. Awesome!

Massive respect to All the Wing fans comments here! I remember being seven years old sneaking down in the middle of the night for Toonami's uncut showings! I even used to put my school uniform on and my older sister would come down to wake me up if I fell asleep and she'd turn the TV off and cover for me. Precious memories ❤ I only had one MSIA action figure from Wing and it's name is Epyon! Used to pretend Hero was piloting it, Damn I miss that toy and those days before I knew how terrible a place our world is.

To be fair, TWO MIX, the original artist behind Just Communication, released their own English version long ago, but they're not native English speakers. I personally think this version is better.

Song translation is its own kind of art and skill, one that is often lacking, especially between languages so different as English and Japanese. The instrumentation and even vocalist may still rock, but the lyrics and delivery sound like they were written and presented by a robot or a space alien. One must have a strong understanding of both languages, but also a poets ear, to be able to translate not only the basic words and melody, but intention and emotion, even if it means taking some artistic liberties in lyrical content or vocal phrasing, to make it feel as natural to the native English listener as it does to the native Japanese listener. A lot of translated songs fail to accomplish this for me, but the lyricism and vocal delivery of this cover felt just right! Well done!

Finally got to sit down and watch the entire series. Then got to get Rightsuf's collectors edition one. So when this appeared on TH-cam? Instant listen. Absolutely fantastic job. This is very well done. Gundam Wing was my first real Gundam. I'd seen a bit of other Gundams, and 08th MS Team is definitely my favorite, but Wing will still hold a place in my heart for really getting me into Gundam and mecha in general.
This was my first anime I've ever seen back when I was 4 my mom had bought it on vhs . Back in 1998 and ever since I've been a anime fan it wasn't pokemon not yugioh or even naruto . It was gundam wing I owe basically who I am today to that show . Thanks for making this amazing cover .
