Ford Ranger Raptor 2022 - First Drive on Genting, And It Was Raining / YS Khong Driving.

- It was our turn to take the Ford Ranger Raptor out, and some idiot had spooked the people at Ford that the Raptor was prone to skidding, so they were a bit apprehensive about giving me the car.
And to make matters worse, I was going to take it to Genting, and of course, it also happened to rain on the morning I went up.
Still, the Raptor was really enjoyable, and it was not dangerous at all.

Dear new viewers, don't think this is an old uncle driving a truck fast up Genting in a wet weather condition, he is a 5 time rally champion and if u see the way YS Khong control the truck, it is not something u or me can simply do it... Drive safe and continue to like YS Khong videos.
Oh he's a rally champion, cuz I watched a video of him driving a Toyota Altezza and the way he handled that car it's like he was on the track, I just had to subscribe, never seen anything like this

Uncle really enjoyed himself. I got goosebumps watching him drive but then again, he is a rally champion and we, are not.
Respect the car, be careful and don't panic. Thanks for the lesson and it was a pleasure watching you having such fun driving the truck. I drive the 2019 2.0 diesel version and never unleashed half its capabilities but always felt it kept me safe on the highways, off-road or in thunderstorms.

I usually use the 2H when the road is dry and 4A when wet. It has a “slippery” drive mode but I usually just stick with normal mode even during wet condition and it drives just fine.
It’s definitely a fun truck to drive 😋

When shd we shift to 4H or 4L in a truck ?
4H means putting drive on all 4 wheels, with the standard gears. Usually recommended for off road use to give more grip, but can be used for wet roads. Do not use in the dry, as this can cause transmission wind up and or a broken box.
4L means engaging 4WD, with LOW ratio, usually another 2.7 times reduced gearing. Top speed is much reduced, so obviously this cannot be used for high speed driving. Usually used in low traction areas, offroad conditions where you need maximum traction.
Hi YS Khong, is this ranger raptor suitable for bringing family for like a vacation trip ?I heard they said that the suspension is very good and it is similar with SUV suspension.

this the first time i see @yskhong drive leaned forward occasionally. usually he is sat back and chill. maybe the car is too big? or just cautious about all the power on wet roads.

Isn't it the second time uncle drive this raptor? And i think it will have better grip when using the baja mode, cuz i once saw other reviewer from Australia he tried the baja mode when testing the 0-60mph in a bit damp road and it went much faster in baja mode than sport mode

Sir one question. Which mode u think is best for up/downhill in slippery road like this? My experience with the 1st gen raptor are the Baja mode 😂. Is it gonna toasted the LSD? Now trading in mine for this all new beast 🤞

Uncle Khong, OK u proved that it is powerful in your hands. But i am curious bout it’s comfort. Is it more comfortable compared to HILUX? The Hilux has a leaf suspension tat makes it so bumpy. How’s the Raptor’s comfort?
Finally tbey are all trucks. Yes tbe Raptor is quite comfortable, but it depends on what is comfortable to you.
