VW Golf MK1 restoration ep.21 - STONE CHIP

On todays episode I am coating the underside of the MK1 golf with stone chip paint. First time doing this and it was a cool experience and can't wait to finish the underside so i can finally see the car on all 4 of its wheels on the ground.

It's coming along amazingly, it's satisfying to see the end result of the stonechip, It does look OEM.
Winter is horrible it's cold and prevents the joys of watching the chassis been completed.

Stone chip will crack over time, so cover it with wax, it will protect it.

Normally this is the flexible one from the brand, but o will keep the waxing in mind! Thanks mate !

my heart is hurting to see you puting stone chip on it, you will never notice any rust underneeth it. you should use wax instead it is also hard to remove stone chip in the future if you want to weld again.
i had the same problems on my mk1 full with stone chip with rust under it, after some years, it was painful to remove everything
