Do these patterns help you improvise better in the key your practicing? i.e can you use them in improv?
Secondly, should I try and play these through all the 12 keys simultaneously? Or play them one key at a time?
Bearing in mind I do not know all my keys yet.

Yes, yes and no. One key at a time is enough to work on to start with
