The funniest part of this, is he has a magnet clip, but he still put his hands in.

This was a simple and genius idea. I went on vacation and folded 3-4 sheets into one big clump. It lasted about 3 days

Learn this 20 years ago. I only lost 2 tangs out of 11 all in the tank at the same time. You see a hint of aggression I toss in the nori. Feed them 3 times a day. All fat all bright in color. 2 yellow tangs, 1 clown tang, 1 soho tang, 1 blue tang , 1 powder brown, 1 flowri tang, 1 yellow eye tang, 1 naso tang....also give them lots of outlets if being chased. All my rocks are in the center of tank. None against the walls. Had these tangs over 10 years now. Best advice from this guy if you love keeping your tangs healthy. Also a uv sterilizer is very helpful.

is it possible to have a say 150 gallon FOWLR tank with nothing but say 2 tangs, 2 angelfish, 2 clowns, and 2 butterfly fish?

I work at a lfs in San Antonio, we have a 4x8 reef. We have adult unicorn, sailfin, yellow, hippo, freckle face, yellow eye kole, blonde naso. We also have a 210g, with adult, yellow, purple, freckle face, orange shoulder, hippo. They never fight we feed nori twice a day. Both tanks are full of wrasses, Angels, clowns, etc. Seaweed extreme pellets absolutely cut down on waste as well. I would put our 2 tanks up against anyone when it comes to health and well being of the fish and coral.

When you have rabbitfish especially bigger ones they will rip a block of seaweed that you fold no matter what and it’s gone super fast, tangs and rabbit fish just eat ALOT it’s insane

I appreciate the clip as I was trying to figure out best way to clip nori. Two questions, is that a convict Tang with white and black stripes? And my Blue Hippo simply won't graze on the nori at all, I leave it in 24/7, replace every other day. I was going to get two more tangs (yellow and one other) hoping they will show the Blue Hippo.

I agree. I try to keep my hands out of the water. I Slide the magnet to the top then rotate the clip out of the water and then attach the nori

I feed my bristle tooth tang nori twice a week. Any more and it starts to foul the water. He still grazes the tank for algae when there is no nori

Agree if they get too spoiled on nori they won't graze the rock....I've got a tang that's 30 years old and his newer tank mate was spoiled daily on nori...he does no grazing and spits water fir more nori....I've been slowly trying to break him of that ....he is fat and healthy asf....2x or 1x a week is just fine as long as they're still getting other daily feedings.. let them graze the display
