Words can not explain how much I love the aesthetic of old roblox, something about it gives me neuron activation. I wish more games tried to replicate its style, shame to see it be replaced by a much more corporate style roblox is trying to enforce
@DimensionOne Right? It's so hard to find good, interesting games that aren't just like.. Blox fruits, bloxburg, etc. I know you know what I'm talking abt. And the stuff in the reccomendeds aren't things I'd actually be interested in
I feel like Old roblox was better More games = Less moderation team can handle More ban places getting returned for example 1M roblox moderation team VS 500M places --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Studio only on PC and mac but not in browser so if an moderation team was able to check on their places they should get them banned before they even think of uploading it Oh wait that will be spyware
THERE WAS A POPULAR GAME BACKIN 2017 CALLED 'NIGHT OF THEWEREWOLF' FLAMINGO AND DENNIS/THE PALS PLAYED IT IT WAS SOGOOD--ITS A GHOST TOWN NOW I BEEN SAAYING THIS BRUH
tbh, sounds like a lie bc you have a gacha life pfp and im assuming you played when you were around like 7-10 years old, no grown person actually has a gacha life pfp and you honestly sound like you joined in 2020s
I joined around 2006 I made an account named “benny” I forgot the password around 2022. I remember playing nearly all these games. Now I'm 26... How time flys
Remembering how much I played these games as a kid, and seeing how dead they are now, really depresses me. It's just another reminder of how time marches on and the past gets left behind.
I think the fact that we once roamed the worlds when we were younger makes it so much more painful. I use to talk to other people my age back then through texting, and now the worlds are just ghost zones. Time flies, man.
I remember Hospital Nightmare 3 really creeped me as a kid. Like I vividly remember being really disturbed by it lol. I think it was because I never really saw blood in a Roblox game or let alone any video game I had ever played up until that point. So just the fact that I saw blood, on what's supposed to be a platform targeted towards kids no less, spooked me out. Especially that one dude who got impaled and pinned to the wall lol. I can't help but laugh about it now of course.
Same, I used to play the game with my brother back in 2013-2014, ive also played half of the games on this list and have some pretty good memories about em too
@@tablettablet83 Well, there are exceptions like The Mimic, Trespass, and Doors. But you can't really deny the humongous impact of Roblox Horror Games outside of Roblox's community like NextBot, Forgotten Memories, and Apeirophobia But I do get your drift. Piggy and Rainbow Friends are trend cyclers from both Granny and Poppy Playtime.
@@lckyminer_2256 I honestly hate those games lmao. Their not that scary in my opinion. I joined Roblox in 2016. I miss the old horror games like the clown killings 2 and before the dawn. Roblox is so boring now though
@@gabrielvences6524the older games you're talking abt were more goofy than scary though. games like nextbots are simple and goofy too but it still has a good main mechanic
I think one of the major things that I miss about old Roblox games is how large they were. A few models here and there and maybe some other players were all there was to keep you entertained. Or maybe it's a specific genre, I'm not sure.
I’m pretty sure that’s a RP or hangout game, I don’t know if it’s a specific sub genre of the two- but I know what your talking about. Roblox “Eg” is one of the games like that that is still active today.
I really miss The Plaza. It really felt ahead of it’s time with the different stores, mini games, and house design system. I used to eat that game up 😭
I remember the roleplay games where you could morph into different animals and be someone’s pet, they were fun to mess around on tbh. And although it wasn’t a game, I really miss the forums and the comments you could leave on roblox games, I used to always play medieval warfare and the comments complaining about higher ranked players always made my day.
i used to play those types of games back in like 2016, on an account i no longer have access to. thinking about it now, it really does feel like an era long passed and that makes me kind of sad.
I recently went back and looked at my favorited games on Roblox, and it was very saddening to see old, empty games I used to play and talk to people on. I also looked at some of my old friends, and when I saw some were last online 9-10 years ago, it just made me even more sad, remembering all of the fun times I had back then.
Once had a friend I made all the way back in 2006-2007 and let's call him chris. Chris and I met and instantly became friends. We would consistently play together all the way to early 2023 ( January ). Chris would always accept my game invitations which was very special to me. Our favorite games were city of robloxia, flood escape, roblox highschool, phantom forces and much more. Chris and I even graduated at the same year and we had a small mini celebration with other people. As time went on I noticed Chris wasn't getting on as much, our group was getting worried. We messaged him all night, he responded back and said he was fine. Fast forward to early 2022, Chris announced his health issue. Chris had a brain tumor and cancer growing in his leg. Everyone and myself were instantly sad. We couldn't handle losing Chris as he was the main and the most loving person in our friend group. We wanted to help Chris, we all agreed to fly out to meet eachother for the first time. All 8 of us were very excited to see all eachother for the first time, we all cracked jokes and had a fun time. Then we decided to see Chris and he wasn't in the best health. It was strange seeing chris quiet and disinterested. We all rented a nearby motel to spend some time. I made sure to book the same room with Chris, as I wanted to show support. As we began to enter our rooms, Chris leaped out of his wheelchair and hugged me. He explained how much he loved the group and the memories we made. I even cried with him, we then all had a meal and tried to lift Chris up and it worked but we wanted to do something extra special. We made chris a custom shirt that displayed all of our favourite roblox memories and even a joke message. It was supposed to be a gag gift but Chris loved the shirt and thanked us for it. We then all jumped into the pool and had lots of fun, we all were having amazing vibes and it was totally awesome. I went into my room late and was a bit drunk, I passed out on the bed next to chris. I woke up very hungover and happy, then I turned my head towards Chris and saw him laying lifeless in his bed. I didn't know he was passed until I felt no pulse. We immediately called an ambulance and rushed him. We were all saddened and Disbelieved in Chris passing so soon. The doctors confirmed of his passing. We all talked with Chris's grandmother who was his only guardian. She thanked us for being with him in his final moments. We then mourned with her hearing her stories of chris and his love for bringing joy in others. We learned how much pain he felt in his early childhood. Even with a rough chikdhood, Chris was always a caring person. We decided to host a small funeral for Chris and invited a bit of his family. They all loved Chris. The rest of the group attended even though their flight had been canceled. We all paid our respects and witnessed the burial of Chris. All 8 of us will never forget Chris... an amazing person, an amazing robloxian, Future Paramedic, and most importantly, An Amazing Friend.❤ 2000-2023
@@jayus2033 This story is so special and wholesome that I almost can’t believe it 😢… It shows how that friendship was so strong and special to you (and your friends) and him. It shows that back in the days, Roblox was a so better place. Finding friends like that is now extremely rare… I wish I could have known these times of Roblox, (I only was a toddler when Roblox got released 😅) I wish you the best for you and your family, friends and relatives. Love be upon you May Chris Rest In Peace. 🖤🕊 Stay safe ❤️
@@jayus2033 I'm sorry you all had to lose an amazing friend. I know if I was in the same situation, I would show the same support as you did. You truly are a good person for being with him before his passing. I wish you all the best
I agree. Sometimes I check my old ROBLOX accounts I used to play on before I made my current one. It's a bittersweet feeling; I wish I could go back then.
Old Roblox is simply beautiful, there's no other words to describe it. I remember when I was a child, I used to come back from school and boot up Roblox, playing as a Guest, having so much fun with random people I didn't even knew in person. Back in the days you used to look at the pictures and the title, and you could already tell if the place was awesome or boring. Many things were free, dances, emotes, morphs, items, accessories, you could literally have all of them if you'd want to, and no one asked you to pay first. Of course, Roblox is still a great sandbox game, even though it's targeted for kids, it's still so much fun to just mess around on fun and humorous places, although it makes me sad to see that today's Roblox lacks creativity. At the moment of writing this, there are so many places that are very similar to eachother, either it be a simulator or a clicker or a fan-made place of a fan-made place of a place that's only pay to play. Almost everything you can do in these places are repetitive and boring, actually fun stuff is blocked behind a paywall. Not to mention the community of toxic Tik Tok kids ruining the experience. Of course there are great places on Roblox that everyone should try out, but the number of these places don't count in very high numbers. And the fact that Roblox itself doesn't give a single crap about it's community and allows something like that, while banning actually hardcore fans, it's just depressing to see. I really hope that Roblox opens it's eyes soon and at least tries to go back to the old days, or maybe tries to create something similar to as it was.
I know that it's been 4 months, but could you mention some genuinely fun games please? I feel pretty similar about the state of the game rn, but there's stuff there that I still adore like Super Bomb Survival and Epic Minigames. It's so hard to find interesting games in the discover tab, so I'd really appreciate it!
That sums up Roblox nowadays. It's just a site for any trendy bullshit that's there to gather attention and nothing more. Any actual creativity is gone now
i miss the day's where it wasnt named roblox but other names (i forgot the old names if i edit this it means i know the names dont correct me i want it to be harder for me help me if your a idiot)
Yup. 2012-2014 ROBLOX was peak. But even before then was more enjoyable than now. On top of that my main account got terminated permanently years ago because someone gave me stolen robux and apparently I was supposed to know that it was stolen.
A couple more honorable mentions here (In my opinion) - Undead Nation - Survive the End of Robloxia 1 / 2 - Future Tycoon - Kohls Admin House BC / NBC Of course there are many more games that were popular in 2010 - 2018 but I figured I'd just mention a few that I remember having fun playing at the time.
I can't tell you how upset I was to see so many of these classic games taken down honestly, especially games like Disaster Hotel, the Six Flags Great Robloxia game, and also the classic Robloxian Pool which I had a hard time finding so I assumed it was down too from declining popularity.
I rememeber Disaster Hotel. It used to be popular in my time and atleast minimum 100 people was playing it. Now everyone forgot about it and so the TH-cam videos. :(
Roblox -game- eXpErIeNcE search nowadays is absolutely terrible for finding old, dead, or popular games. Sometimes it does not even show the game even with exact title match, it'd rather show popular games completely unrelated to my search instead. Your best bet is Google (apply site: filter), Roblox fandom wiki, or digging through your favorites, or badges you may got from the game. I can say this because I've tried myself. Ended up digging through pages of favorites. And after I found the game, I copy+pasted the name and Roblox search still refuses to show that game in the results.
It feels so weird to be in something that was once so lively and popular and filled with life, to just be forgotten about and empty. Edit: Wholly shit I might actually get to 1K likes tysvm
i got a nostalgia blast from watching this, its sad to see great roblox games start to gain problems like the devs being terminated or the game has a lack of updates
Oh man, I miss Urbis. Everything from the job system, house customization and procedurally generated caves felt so unique. I remember screwing with other players by stalking them at night and luring them into the caves.
I remember quickly going to the nightclub to work as a bartender before there was someone else working. There was always someone else working you had to wait for haha
apparently the same developer that created urbis also created another game which is still my favourite(despite the fact it is mostly just dead right now due to lesser updates and stuff) called Starscape. perhaps the largest open world exploration game on roblox where u can use ships to jump between star systems in space. each star system has like its own different server and they have different types that u can explore
@@Aber_Bluehair Damn I played that too. It was really good but also really grindy. I gave up on that planet with the starfish cave because you had to kill like a million to level up enough to get to another planet.
Thank you for this video. Roblox games are unfortunately extremely difficult to archive properly and more and more games are getting lost as time goes on so I genuinely think videos like this are super important to preserve them. I haven’t watched part 2 yet but wanted to shoutout some inactive games I loved, off the top of my head - Dinosaurz Life, Survival: Apocalypse, Survival 303, Survivor 2.0, Build to Survive the Slimes, Llando’s Hide and Seek (not completely dead but on its way out I fear), Pilgrim Islands & Pilgrim Islands Reborn. A huge RIP to every basic building game that would rotate out on the front page too. I miss the building genre a lot
There's a game I used to play all the time that was widely popular called Club Boates. It was popular throughout 2014-2016, but it stopped receiving updates in 2018. Ever since the audio purge and decline of popularity, the game died off.
I must say- seeing once loved games like these now being almost completely dead makes me pretty sad :( But im still glad you made this video! Really helps remind us about these fun games and the memories we have of them! Honestly now I really just wanna go play the plaza and urbis :D and terror in bikini bottom will be missed- Incredible video as always! You always work so hard and your content is incredible! Always something I look forward too!
The Plaza was a big one for me. Such a good and fun game at the time. It was like you could do anything. It was the ultimate hangout friend game for me and I had so much fun playing it with my friends. Seeing it die made me so sad as it used to have 3k people a day back in 2016-2017
Thanks for including one of my suggestions! Urbis may be a little generic, and the map was a lot smaller before 2021 update, but even then, it had a really cool and peaceful atmosphere. I was never a fan of roleplaying games, but I always let my imagination run wild while doing jobs there. It's surprising it came from the same person who created a zombie survival game! This may sound silly, but I sometimes find myself checking the Iron Caffe game from time to time. The game is a perfectly preserved time capsule of the late 2000's internet culture, which I was not a part of. Entering any empty area of the game instantly makes me sad, knowing that these areas were once occupied by children, who are now fully-grown adults.
Robloxity has such a comfortable vibe to it. It also feels like an abandoned Garry's Mod map, once full of people all doing their own little thing, now there's no one but you. And a few people who join every now and then to try to find a ghost bike, but I have no idea what that means.
greenlegocats123’s obama (ghost bike), where a bike is seen driving itself (probably into a wall or something). it’s really just a glitch that happens with any vehicle. but yeah robloxity is so good and really does feel comfortable. it really feels more realistic than a lot of modern roblox games, even without the more advanced lighting.
I wish you would have covered disaster hotel more, I probably spent actual days of my life on that game back then. There were lots of secrets and seeing every single furnished hotel room destroyed by disasters, hiding or running from danger, and escaping by ridiculous means at the very end. I never found the gameplay repetitive, it was truly a masterful classic of old roblox
I think the old artstyle was very attention catching and consistent, and since roblox was still being properly taken care of it helped with the hype, I'm more a 2014 player, haven't participated in the real OG roblox, but Idk, the old era sounds really appealing
i remember checking iron cafe very often in 2015. It was already very old by that time and i really missed it being active, but every now and then you'd still get lobbies of 15-ish people and it was pretty fun.
One of the more nostalgic games for me was disaster hotel, which was probably my first or second roblox game and i played in 2016. When i joined roblox, mainly for destruction related games, this was probably my favorite. After quitting in 2018 and returning in 2020, i was shocked to see it was completely dead.
I miss old roblox. I would just go over to my friends house and play old games for hours. It’s so sad seeing what it’s become and I’m glad there’s still some people that like old games.
I'm overwhelmed with joy seeing these golden games get some recognition once more. Seeing this video reminded me some of the giant parts of my childhood and the start of my horror interest journey hehe. Though I would prefer Roblox the way it is right now, it will never be able to bring the feels that it's previous eras gave. Oh how I miss playing these games
please make a part two!! beach house roleplay was extremely popular in the 2010s and is absolutely iconic. it used the island music from animal crossing new leaf lol. i also want to talk about early rpg games, there was this one fairytail online game that was crazy popular at the time as well, i have very fond memories of it all
Beach House roleplay was the shit! I miss driving around on the motorbike, the old gears like the triple stack ice cream come and the chocolate milk. Plus the free hats and accessories were cool too.
omg you literally unlocked so many memories in my brain from beach house roleplay! i didnt remember the name but it always stayed in my head from how many times i played it. its so sad how the game got hacked, i joined when it was hacked and it was very scary for a little kid.
@@alexwasherefirst yes, it got hacked and I believe taken down due to it. it was years ago so my memory might be foggy but I remember the hackers made everything red and on fire. they also added huge satanist or kkk (I’m not sure which, but the figures had pointy white hats and crosses) figures in the background
It's always unfortunate when this happens. Theses game used to be filled with people playing and having fun. Now it's only filled with memories of who have played.
Okay so I would say back in 2013 when I was around 8 me and my brother actually got to meet the creator of the bloody marry game. He led us through the entire game and took us to an open space that was still in development. He never finished the game, but it was crazy how nice he was. Anyway I just thought you guys would like to know that little piece of nostalgia in my life.
The cart games from back then (2011-2014ish) definitely deserve a mention in the Part 2 video. While repetitive, I actually played them quite alot. Most remarkable cart game is the Spongebob themed one with a suicide ice cream gear, but again there used to be so many variants of cart games around that time.
I used to play a lot of those "supernova" games which were copied and pasted and then recolored and there would be versions like rainbow nova, frost nova, chocolate nova, lava nova, etc., they were repetitive but fun though.
bro no way, the final 2 games (build to survive the zombies and disaster hotel) were some of the first games I ever played, so glad you finally covered them in a video like this, gave me a wave of nostalgia
Holy shit, I’ve completely forgotten about these games and hearing them again send shivers down my spine- God the nightmares I had as a kid when I first played the hospital game it all feels so nostalgic
I remember playing the plaza and robloxity between 2013 and 2017. I have such fond memories from these games from my childhood, playing with my cousin for hours on end it was really fun back then and is nostalgic

“Disasters in a Spooky Hotel” is a dead game you must talk about in your next dead game videos. It was renamed countless times since I last played it but I still remember it, as of today. It was a very creative & innovative game compared to other disaster games as this game was fleshed out when it comes to places, power ups, & the dozens of monsters that hunt you down. I remember meeting the creator of that game & telling him to spawn in Ao Oni into the game in which they did. Happy memories.
Shitt, i miss that game. Used to stay up all night playing it, and it was ten times more fun when there was a lot of players too lol. Hopefully the game would open up for the public again. Ahhh, how i miss those days.....
Town of Robloxia used to be so crowded o.o My brother and I would roleplay for hours on the weekends when we were kids. So strange to see places that are so iconic, now completely empty. I also remember Robloxity very well. I remember how big of a deal it was when the new dynamic lighting showed itself when it turned dark. I remember my friends and I sitting in dimly lit rooms in a small house, in a mostly empty city, just having casual late-night conversation.
i used to play the plaza, the town of robloxia, loleris games, fatpaps games, and a lot more so much. seeing this video gave me quite a lot of nostalgia.
I remember back in the day a guy in build to survive the zombies taught me how to make a vehicle using a toilet seat and a lamp. From that point on, I spent hours in the game making cars and buses to drive people across the map. Good times.
I'm not sure how many other people can relate, but Disaster Hotel was like my childhood Roblox game. When I finally remembered the fact that it exists, I quickly checked the game out only to find out that it had no active players. I guess the true final nail in the coffin is toastedcherries exploring it with the gimmick of it being a dead Roblox game.
5:43 - Heli-Wars: Desert Attack was by far my favorite game on Roblox back in 09'. I used to play that game with friends all the time- flying under the map and using the old collision system to glitch into the VIP area to get special vehicles without a gamepass. Good times...
I really like the atmosphere of old roblox games. Not particularly 2008, but when materials were available and that weird transition between classic and modern games. Everything just looks so uncanny and barren, but it feels so comfortable with the bubble sky boxes and the muffled thunder noises. I remember playing a crap ton of those terrible roblox RPG games with grass monsters and level portals. Like, I'd literally just play one for a hour, and then move on to the next without a second thought. Looking at those games now 50% of them have likes and dislikes on my acount for no reason lol
for some reason it always gives me this type of eerie feeling after stumbling in a game that used to be populated by players until its all...empty..just..gone
My suggestion for part 2 would be Wizardry II. It was a roleplaying game based off of Harry Potter, made by buildthomas way back in 2009. It remained popular for a long time and was updated quite a bit. However, in 2019 or 2020 (can't remember) most of the playerbase left. Currently, people on the group wall have been trying to schedule roleplay sessions to revive the game, as the scripting still works. The dev updates it every year or so to fix bugs or something. I love this game and my memories associated with it, so it would mean a lot if you covered it.
It's actually scary exploring abandoned games because of actually knowing that at one point a lot of people played that game and you might just get spooked.
Never realized that a video could give me such a nostalgia boost! I've been feeling more nostalgic lately due to the sudden old roblox style resurgence, but now seeing this video and games like disaster hotel and the bloody mary game just reminds me of when I was younger.
i remember playing the iron cafe months ago and meeting someone who joined roblox around the same time as me (2010), since we were like the only people in the server we ended up talking about our experiences with old roblox for like an hour or so, it was a really fun time :D
A game I used to play a ton a while back, and used to have a pretty large and dedicated following, was Street Racing Unleashed by SecondLogic. If I recall, at some point the game was held for review for quite a while. The game is playable now, but nobody plays it. There have been quite a few attempts to revive the game, but none at the moment have been successful.
dude im just watching this and remembering each and every game listed here back from my childhood. this stuff is so nostalgic and brings back so many good memories of playing on my awful mac mini computer in my kitchen, barely running roblox stuck with bubble chat and the smell of cat piss, but genuinely having such a fun time. Another game you could've brought up was Plane Wars 2 by mathchamp, which is currently down but is being remastered. A very beautiful gem brought to roblox.
I'm so glad that The Plaza is in this video. I was part of that 11 year old player demographic in June 2016 LOL. I will never forget the excitement I had when I made my first Condo, played the minigames, and just explored the map with friends. There will never be another social game as wholesome as The Plaza because nowadays games are mostly full of emos and an older player demographic presence.
man, urbis and the plaza were always my go-to games whenever i wanted to talk to people. i miss when those games were alive, now they're nothing but former shells of themselves :(
If a part 2 comes out, Undead Nation deserves a spot. Creator still updates it to this day whenever it breaks to become unplayable and still gets around 6-10 players on a good day.
Back when I was a kid in 2015 or something. Hospital Nightmare 3 and this other version of the game that started you in a school were genuinely terrifying to me. There is one game you missed though. Guest Quest.
I used to play Mad Paintball 2 a lot, with a quite active community (always with ~500-1000 people), but now it's dead, and I'm really sad that nobody plays that
You know about the games where you try not to blow up a power core? Those where popular once, with many pinewood computer core copies that took the layout of the place and reused it, many of those are abandoned, except a few like innovation, quantum science, and pinewood. There was one called liquid submarine but I think the creator left roblox for mental health reasons after his account got terminated twice.
I'm pretty sure the reason town of robloxia was put under review was the fact it wasn't updated to comply with FE, and was generally rampant with exploiters. I remember welcome to the town of robloxia's last few days were nothing but exploiters taking advantage of the fact FE was disabled, it was just people running around with fighting scripts (I still remember baby Nefhelm being the last one i saw) and overall messing with the game.
I remember this game called “Hunter’s Life” (or something along those lines) and I loved to play it. You can hunt, complete quests, and even marry and have children in the game if I recalled correctly. I became inactive for a while following the lost of my old account. When I came back on a new one, I was sad that the game seemed to have vanished into thin air. I wonder if there will ever be a remake of it.
i joined roblox on 2017. i remember coming home from school to play games with some of my online friends and it was a fun time. i stopped playing last year for around 6+ months and i came back to see the updates they have made. theyve changed alot, and there are alot of good updates in the game, but i really miss the old ones.
this video reminded me about so many roblox games i played obsessively in middle school. i used to do family rp and just mess around in the complex v4 with one of my friends from school. i remember i got into a massive fight with some girl the moment i loaded into the iron cafe for the first time just cuz i felt like starting shit with someone 😭disaster hotel is the one game i've never forgotten and will always be my favorite. i really wish someone would pick that game up and add more to it, i miss it so much
I like how in the thumbnail it is a screenshot that contains the item Paranormal Party Starter, who was an event item in late 2022 when it says "2010".
I hope you decide to talk about C.Y.O.S.B (Create Your Own Security Base) as it was one of my favorite games from roblox, it even had one of the more advanced building mechanics compared to other "build to survive" style games. If I remember correctly, It even had a egg hunt event in the town of robloxia which gave you items in C.Y.O.S.B. The game is now closed and the dev has no intention to re-open it :(
this video gave me a wave of nostalgia, town of robloxia, the plaza and urbis i used to play for hours and hours on end , i can see the type of games younger me enjoyed ahha
Nothing beats OG Roblox. Once my friend introduced me to the game, I was instantly hooked. I spent countless hours at the desktop playing it; sometimes late into the night after everyone else had gone to bed (I even had Outrageous Builders Club, lol) So many memories, and so much nostalgia. Naturally as I got older, I lost interest. I've played it on and off with my friends over the years, but now it's barely recognizable to me...
I've recently started playing a game I found called Solar Conquest II. It's a really fun CTF Real-Time Strategy space game where there are teams and you capture planets. I've recently found out that the original Solar Conquest created in 2008 was really popular currently holding 3M Visits. You should definitely cover it in your next video!
The fact that all my favorite Roblox games are dead now is so sad. Welcome to the Town of Robloxia, Base Wars, Heli Wars, Gears of War, Destroy Roblox Headquarters, Ultimate Paintball, Easter Egg Hunt, I could go on and on not to mention how fun being in groups and training with groups was back in the day. Now looking back on the old VS the new, graphically this game has advanced a lot, but to me I wish it would’ve stayed simple. Watching this video just makes me wanna go back to my childhood.
im sad that ripull minigames was not included but at the same time the game still is holding a active player base not as big as before but it is still being played by few people which just shows how the game is still being loved till this day
Dudeee, I haven’t heard of that game since forever. I absolutely loved playing it for hours on end. I remember it got an overhaul of sorts and the fact that I grew out of rolblox altogether; I just stopped playing it.
I think what I liked most about roblox as a kid is they didn’t treat me like I was stupid. It was always a kids game, sure, but they didnt treat you like an infant, and they didnt place such an emphasis on pretty graphics because that was not the art style. But it seems to me that theyve forsaken that
You're pulled words out of my mouth. Roblox games these days all have generic big bright colored buttons, and saturated color palette, from the thumbnail to in-game structures. They use the same kind of color you see on thumbnail of TH-cam videos made for kids. It's as if they think I need bright colors to grab my attention.
Words can not explain how much I love the aesthetic of old roblox, something about it gives me neuron activation. I wish more games tried to replicate its style, shame to see it be replaced by a much more corporate style roblox is trying to enforce
play dream game/forge and the crucible
Ikr, it just reminds me of all the good times when I would come home after school, hop on my computer, and play Roblox for hours.
Agreed.
its gives me feelings of tranquility and anemoia? and maybe forlorn
@@orangu06 retrostudio is better and the one I mainly use.
Old roblox's "genre" feature was SOOO GOOD, i cannot tell you how many great games I found due to that features.

And after I found the game, I copy+pasted the name and Roblox search still refuses to show that game in the results.

everytime I get to see it's old style again.

The cart games from back then (2011-2014ish) definitely deserve a mention in the Part 2 video. While repetitive, I actually played them quite alot. I used to play a lot of those "supernova" games which were copied and pasted and then recolored and there would be versions like rainbow nova, frost nova, chocolate nova, lava nova, etc., they were repetitive but fun though.

0:42 fun fact, 1dev3’s bio is “all grown up :(“.
Town of Robloxia used to be so crowded o.o
My brother and I would roleplay for hours on the weekends when we were kids.
2:46 fun fact, it was mentioned in block tales.
I miss old games like the plaza, as a kid i played them for hours. the plaza was for sure ahead of its time.
5:43 - Heli-Wars: Desert Attack was by far my favorite game on Roblox back in 09'. I used to play that game with friends all the time- flying under the map and using the old collision system to glitch into the VIP area to get special vehicles without a gamepass. Good times...
Same. The VIP helicopter is so OP
Dude you literally unlocked some of my long forgotten memories, thank you.
It's so sad to see fun games being abandoned because for some reason people don't find it fun, mad paintball was one of my favorite games
Probably because of new games released to try out
Yeah it’s like if you buy the same chocolate bar every day for a year then a new better one comes out you abandon the old one
I remember a friend I had in grade school where he’d play the Plaza as much and he’d talk about it a ton, I wonder where he go
Never realized that a video could give me such a nostalgia boost!
Watching the beginning with the Iron Cafe really hit me with “it’s over” vibes, same for the other games since I’ve been playing since 2011
its joever..
Man, as someone who made their account in 2009, this was a nostalgia trip.
ah yes, a really good video. i remember the old days of roblox. especially the iron cafe.
Loved that place; It's in a weird place too, it's never empty for too long. There's 1 person there every couple of minutes.
So glad to see urbis here! I loved that game and still do, it's kind of lonely with only a few people who don't usually chat tho :(
Back when I was a kid in 2015 or something. Hospital Nightmare 3 and this other version of the game that started you in a school were genuinely terrifying to me.
There is one game you missed though. Guest Quest.
fire game
I used to play Mad Paintball 2 a lot, with a quite active community (always with ~500-1000 people), but now it's dead, and I'm really sad that nobody plays that
your content always make me feel very nostalgic! keep it up!!
I wonder if there will ever be a remake of it.
this guy is crazy like how much researches did u do for like almost all ur vids, nah bro u deserve way more subs
i remember playing the plaza in 2017 and having the greatest time of my life, its quite sad to see how dead it is now
i joined roblox on 2017. i remember coming home from school to play games with some of my online friends and it was a fun time. i stopped playing last year for around 6+ months and i came back to see the updates they have made. theyve changed alot, and there are alot of good updates in the game, but i really miss the old ones.
this video reminded me about so many roblox games i played obsessively in middle school. i used to do family rp and just mess around in the complex v4 with one of my friends from school. i remember i got into a massive fight with some girl the moment i loaded into the iron cafe for the first time just cuz i felt like starting shit with someone 😭disaster hotel is the one game i've never forgotten and will always be my favorite. i really wish someone would pick that game up and add more to it, i miss it so much
I like how in the thumbnail it is a screenshot that contains the item Paranormal Party Starter, who was an event item in late 2022 when it says "2010".
8:48 sounds like a gmod horror map jumpscare LOL
👏 what a masterpiece 😂
Not to be a valve nerd but those are hunters from l4d
8:56 oh no the nostalgia is kicking in
This sounds so cliché but I really wish the Iron Cafe was active again cuz it was really dope seeing it alive in RetroBlox
Yeah, it's hard for me to find anything to play on roblox now since I only play hangouts like that one.
2:15 best game ever!!! So much nostalgia!! So sad to watch it die down
When that music played at the start, I knew this was gonna be good.
im sad that ripull minigames was not included but at the same time the game still is holding a active player base not as big as before but it is still being played by few people which just shows how the game is still being loved till this day
Dudeee, I haven’t heard of that game since forever.
