If the bale arm spring is Sprained, you can replace it using the spring (or a couple of them, 1 inside the other for strength) from a retractable Pen/s. I've Done it before & it works. I keep all my old clicker pens for making all sorts of stuff, they have some very useful parts!! .22 Airgun Pellets also make excellent, various weights for fishing. (Loaded Wagglers, Lures etc)
