Sorry to do this, Court, but I just have to ask. Lectric JUST released their Lectric XPedition, which is clearly a Tern competitor. Its base price is $1399 - $1699 with dual batteries. That's half the price of the Tern P9 here. I am sure you have seen the XPedition by now and its specs. Is there some reason you are not reviewing Lectric bikes? You haven't done a review on either the 2.0, 3.0, Lite, or Premium - not since 2020. I love Tern bikes, but a very quick comparison shows that the XPedition is quite comparable to the P9 or even the GSD for half the money. Can you shed any light on why you're not reviewing Lectrc anymore?
Hi Tom! No, this is the first time I saw the XPedition, and it looks pretty cool. Great price point, and the dual battery option is on point. The tires look plus sized from the pictures. To me it resembles the RadWagon or Blix Packa Genia more than the Tern. Those all use hub motors and have heavier frames. I've noticed that other reviewers are covering Lectric, and they seem to work with some influencers (much like Super 73 has done). While I do think I could offer some insights beyond what they show, I've got my hands full covering other bikes... I'm actually constantly having to pass on review opportunities because I don't have time. Right now, I have eight bikes filmed waiting for me to edit and post, and three bikes arriving at local shops today! I'm also re-launching the site, which has been extremely expensive and distracting. I programmed the original site myself and then had one developer who was much easier to work with (but who left and seems to be working with my competitors). Long story short, I've just been hanging on doing my best. Perhaps I'll cover the XPedition sometime this year, it does look cool :)
@@frankfurter7260 Exactly. And my 2011 Kia Sorrento with 110K miles runs great, is paid off, and gets me from Point A to Point B reliably, and just as fast as a Lexus would. Glad we agree!
Yeah, it's interesting that they changed the stem. I like how it telescopes up and down. I thought maybe the skipped the folding feature because of the Class 3 higher speed operation, like this would be sturdier?

MAKE REPAIR SHOPS SPECIFICALLY FOR THESE BIKES AND AFFORDABLE THATS WHY WE USE THE CHINESE EBIKES CUZ THE CHINESE REPAIR SHOPS ARE CHEAP AND KNOW EXACTLY HOW TO FIX THEIR CHINESE EBIKES . Were you able to get it up to 28mph or is the motor simply rated to 28mph regardless of the bicycle it's attached to?

Comparing Lectric to a Tern is like comparing a Kia to a Lexus. Keep dreaming though. 🛌

This bike doesn't have the quick fold like Tern GSD model. That was a very important feature for those who want to fit it inside the suv.

Tern products do tend to cost a bit more. It has been nice to see them expand the range and hit some of these lower price points in recent years.
