Big up all the fishermen out there in Jamaica. I lost 2 of my uncles, who are fishermen. They disappeared at sea😢 never came home. It’s hard work, please don’t take them for granted.

Watching these brothers go fishing for they everyday meals make me miss my mother, she loved to go fishing but the only difference is she trek through the woods she never fished on a boat. And she knew where all the good fishing spots was. You brothers are such great fisherman and my mother was a great fisherwoman. Hats off to everyone including my mother whose no longer with me.please be careful out there.

In Trinidad privately owned shrimp trawlers have destroyed the sea bed where fish lay eggs and we are not getting abundance of fish as long ago. The trinidad government is not doing anything to stop the shrimp trawlers.

I grew up around fishermen at Greenwich Town fishing beach. Trust me, so many have been lost at sea trying to make a living to support their families. I just wish that the government would do more to help them. Sometimes ‘overfishing’ is down to pure desperation because their boats aren’t worthy of going further out to sea. So, they end up concentrating on small radius nearer the reef. 🙏🏿🖤🇯🇲

  • @bysonchi

I know it's hard out there for fishermen; however, taking these small fish, will just make fishing even harder. Let them grow to populate.
