Can we just take a moment to appreciate the sheer diversity of all Matt’s explores! We had telephone boxes yesterday, a gorgeous surprise cottage explore a few days ago, we go from care homes and abandoned swimming pools to chicken farms and government testing facilities! There is never a dull moment on this channel! I honestly appreciate all the hard work that goes into creating all this content! Thank you Matt! 💜x
Ahh!! 😳🤩 I worked there! Well in the Marketing Dept which was in the little cottage by the side which presumably you couldn't access. They used my Renault 5 for a manual ... was a bit worried they wouldn't put it all back together again, but they did! They did drive the vehicles inside, then disassemble them, photograph, illustrate and reassemble. It was a great place to work with so much going on and always busy with different vehicles arriving and lorry loads of manuals leaving. Sad to see the grow-roomers have been in action along with copper thieves. Hopefully the buildings can be secured and saved as it's a good site. Thanks for the trip down memory lane Matt! Great explore 👍👍
@@TheSecretVault haha I did get reimbursed and given a copy of the finished manual with my car starring 🤩🚘 Friends did think I was mad at the time …. 😵💫
How many worked there? About half! I was there for 30 years from 1983. It wouldn't surprise me if the plan is to have the building pass the point of no return...
Great explore matt I spoke to the Haynes man about 15 years ago in the museum he was in a wheel chair and he told me they stopped the Haynes manual because car manufacturers wouldn't realese permissions until cars were 10 years old when most warranty run hence end off manual
Mr Haynes lives in a little village near Sherbourne. I used to live there too. one day, my XR2 broke down and me and my friends got very drunk and someone dared me to go knock on his door and asking for a manual for a 1.4 XR2. I was told to leave.
I live spitting distance from this location and was only thinking of recommending this place to you the other day when I drove past. Just goes to show, one never knows quite what goes on one's doorstep..!
Drives me crazy to see what was a useable building become so destroyed because of nothing other than shear neglect by the owners. But it makes for a great explore! Thx for another great videa
Perhaps sombody had read the HAYNES how to grow your own !!! Nice one Mat wot a surprise . 10 out of 10 for goingbaround it onyour own,,,,Take care mate graham
Extremely interesting building i can just imagine it being a proper hive of activity with some great memories made when it was a fully functioning place of employment absolutely spot on explore Matt 💙 ps i love the fact you shut all the open windows you came across just a nice little thing to do to try and stop the building deteriorating anymore than it is good on you 👍
Thank you for the tour Matt! I love the beginning metal music on the drone flight! Superb flying and your camera work has improved, I see you are getting used to the new hardware! 😊 Keep it up mate and I will keep watching! 😂
I do enjoy your videos and i love your solo ones as you talk and give us information that is what i love about your style you tell us about the places the stuff you see so its a pure joy to watch and listen too!
I did something like that, I purchased a garden shed, sealed it and grew within while in my bedroom some twenty odd years ago LOL :D Carbon Filters are fine, extra insurance with o3 injection on the exhaust but the serious killer to a grower, thermal signature emissions & you can't beat british gypsum can you :D
I didn't think copper thievery was worth it. But after a quick search for scrap metal prices it turns out a Ton of scrap copper can fetch up to 7 grand 😱
I learnt a lot from Haynes manuals over the years when I had cars and vans, but think they have gone digital these days, but I think a book by your side for reference was a better way, ok you can print out from computer but not the same. Gaz Yorkshire
Awesome video as always. I like how you can see from the drone how the site likely started as just one small building and they just kept adding more and more new bits until they ended up with quite the warren. No doubt it will be left to deteriorate, then turned into free housing for our ever increasing non-native population.
Almost on me doorstep, the line behind is the Castle Cary to Yeovil line if anyone was interested, there used to be a station there but that's long gone... Getting a bit closer to Templecombe... maybe one day you will catch the funny handshakers doing their sinister doings...
They had a right massive place to stripp vehicles and photo them for the Manuals which they are helpful when fixing any of my cars copper thiefs just don't care about the damage they make just for a bit of money but I bet it will all get demolished for houseing like most places but good and easy explore mate 👍
The red boxes at 8:14 are GSM units once connected to the alarm :) we will have them ! They are to alert security or staff by sms or automated phone call
looks like the grow rooms in west bromwich old factory at a place called black lake swan village industrial eaststate a very big factory ,found by firefighters called out to a fire in a unit next door pure luck they found it, been used for 5 grows had bags of old grows left overs,no one ever caught for it was the biggest grow at the time back in 2000s
I think the easy access to all that free electricity was probably their main reason for going large with the grow. With commercial premises the incoming supplies are huge, often 3 phase 415v power. Can draw many hundreds of KW without suspicion.
Strange I live next a place called Antilia "pitza place" in barrow, empty for year's then someone explored it - it was used for growing drugs, I never saw or herd a thing and I live around the corner !!.the place is now burnt up, keep exploring Mat.
They said that they strip down and reassemble every vehicle to write the manuals. It ceratinly begs the question, how did they get the USS Enterprise and Millienium Falcon in there !!
Very interesting. Back in the day before tinternet I bought a Haynes manual for every old banger I owned. Shame the old site has been left to decay. I suspect all the Asbestos roofing has something to do with it.
I know it grows on you but site those grow rooms look like they were in the process of starting because all those supplies would surely been used up and the rooms seem to be too clean, so were they busted and then the copper thieves moved in because no wire not electric. but nice explore Matt as always, Haynes made their money and closed down.
there's a few bits in here that were copied and pasted (audio and on screen text and pictures of breaking bad, 2009 street view text etc) appearing afterwards (appear more than once).
What I find incredible is that Haynes are still in the building next dooorr, but have let this end up in this state. Youd think they would hae checked kon it.
In urban exploring it's always better to ask forgivenessif found, than for prior permission, because for often ridiculous 'health and safety' excuses, permission is usually not forthcoming.
@Tekwyzard did you really just say that? There is a reason why fences are placed round buildings, to keep people out! So when you say someone should ask for forgiveness, would that be before or after they fall through the ceiling, down the stairs or whatever. And private property means exactly that, private. If someone were to break into your house, as this chap did to a building owned by a company, would you forgive them if they asked? Yeah, I didn't think so!
Haynes don't just do car manual bikes cars planes, they even do one on women. I like showing the yanks the SR71 blackbird one every time they tell us they are secret I did quite a lot of servicing on bikes and women when I was younger, always fun taking them out for a test ride.. these days though, I stick to the bikes as they are cheaper to run
I really don't understand why the police just leave all the equipment that the growers used. Why don't they haul it away and scrap it? Is it just pure laziness or is it cost & labor related?
The pie key metal fairies have no shame and the house next door looked a bit bando too as the driveway you used did not looked like much traffic used it.
That's a horticultural level operation... fking hell that's like £45,000 input. who knows what was produced, not kilos more like tonnes !! to nit pick ... saying the grow room is hermetically sealed when you have actually been to gov labs wear they were actually hermetically sealed .... it was near air tight at best. That air compresser is a bit of a wonder no use for that thing unless they were doing hydro bubblers which is even more insane. Lots of electricians set up oven level breaker boxes in bedrooms and attics these days you would be surprised. This was some big gang/ organisation or a serious MFer with some money to spend. I wouldn't be surprised if they had bang bang weapons when it was active. This must have been one of the biggest grows in the UK and breaking bad anit far off indeed.

Thank you.
Matt is sick 🔥❤️
The best underrated explorer & all round good chap.
Go big, or go home, was these boyz mantra! Quite impressive indeed. Thanks for sharing Matt!

Wow... your a member and also worked there. How amazing is that. Thanks for your tales. Im not sure I would want my car taken apart for fun... lol
@@TheSecretVault haha I did get reimbursed and given a copy of the finished manual with my car starring 🤩🚘 Friends did think I was mad at the time …. 😵💫
Can i ask how many would have worked there at its height ?
How many worked there? About half!
I was there for 30 years from 1983.
It wouldn't surprise me if the plan is to have the building pass the point of no return...
@@zzirSnipzz1about half of them 😂
Counting footsteps while walking past 8x4 sheets 😂. love you videos Matt
Great explore matt I spoke to the Haynes man about 15 years ago in the museum he was in a wheel chair and he told me they stopped the Haynes manual because car manufacturers wouldn't realese permissions until cars were 10 years old when most warranty run hence end off manual
That was probably Marc Haynes, who was never involved in the manuals.
As far as I know, new manuals are still written, albeit online only.
Mr Haynes lives in a little village near Sherbourne. I used to live there too. one day, my XR2 broke down and me and my friends got very drunk and someone dared me to go knock on his door and asking for a manual for a 1.4 XR2. I was told to leave.

Holy shit that is a pile of stripped cable 38:53 Nice explore and video like always Matt!
Great explore Matt. That's a massive grow! Just to let you know there's a few editing mistakes in the video of random text and music popping up. 👍
oh damn... time line must have slipped. damn.
Thank you for the tour Matt! I love the beginning metal music on the drone flight! Superb flying and your camera work has improved, I see you are getting used to the new hardware! 😊 Keep it up mate and I will keep watching! 😂
Great explore Matt
How many grow room's will you find this Year
Nice location! Very sad that it is destroyed that much. The big question: Did you find any Haynes manual there?
🥇. I thought id leave out telling you the grow room part! It was a surprise 😅
thanks for the tip off... Amazing find!
That grow room even had a COSHH sign up lol. Proper job that. Great explore Matt
Another great quality made video good panning and editing .
Music on drone photography is excellent as usual. Thanksmate .

Great drone work as always. Thanks Matt
Hi Matt what a grow room mind boggling 😮must have had some money to do that, great video as usual and drone footage 🙂👍🏻💯
I didn't think copper thievery was worth it. But after a quick search for scrap metal prices it turns out a Ton of scrap copper can fetch up to 7 grand 😱
copper, aluminuim and high grade stainless you have to watch some dodgy stainless is magnetic and will fetch very little

Davinci Resolve is great...

You can find your way home on the 303 at the Sparkford Haynes manual factory!
Thanks, Matt! Halide Be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom, Whilst Grow Large Green Plants.
obviously the copper thieves wanted to turn the place into a giant aviary.... 😂
Love the metal at the start, wish I had hair again

I feel sad when i see windows open i old abandoned buildings i mean how many little birds have got trapped and could not get out ..

It’s all online now so no need to print the manuals.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the thumbnail? 💯😂
I been to Haynes car place ,this looks cool good video.
Driven past it many times over the years. Didnt realise was that big

good that the druggie trash got busted, and those copper thieves got to blame who buys the copper too, great video as always matt
Matt what a grow room 😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😷😷😷😷😷🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
It was kinda funny when I was a kid 60s , 70s . Us kids would explore this Ocean Cliff liff Side
We're you trying to sound Norwegian ? I gotta bit a dat 2 .
a very nice explore matt
Just stumbled over your explore , I live 5 minutes from the site .No idea as to its hidden business adventures. Time the site was reused .
Love Haynes its sad they aren't gonna print anymore manuals it will all be digital glad they still going and interesting to see their old HQ
thought Haynes were sold to a rival French Company few years back....
Yeh🤘🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
I could do with that timber for a shed I am trying to build .. timber prices ridiculous.
didnt call the police about it wow matt

damn i couldnt find any of the edit problems i will look again now... thanks.
Mate you read my mind love a good plant mooch about have you been to Seaton hights up near the water tower
Just realised you have 😂
What I find incredible is that Haynes are still in the building next dooorr, but have let this end up in this state. Youd think they would hae checked kon it.
I'm afraid Somerset has always been a county of drugs and especially near yeovil....gypsies and poverty. So the copper had no chance !!!!
can you find a GR near kettering matt, those pots n stuff cost a fortune for the allotment lol
Were you drunk when you edited this one by any chance, Matt?
Certainly a major operation
I wonder if Haynes do a cannabis workshop manual?
perhaps you should have gone down to the haynes museum and asked them if it was ok to trespass on private property?
In urban exploring it's always better to ask forgivenessif found, than for prior permission, because for often ridiculous 'health and safety' excuses, permission is usually not forthcoming.

Keep up the great work 😂weed should be legal I get medical weed and it's expensive.
MATT YOU FORGOT TO BLUR YOUR CAR AT END BUD
seen it all now with grow rooms it was do with professionals
If your a corporation it's "salvage" if not then it's copper theft lol
Brill😊
I really don't understand why the police just leave all the equipment that the growers used. Why don't they haul it away and scrap it? Is it just pure laziness or is it cost & labor related?
Interesting Matthew Breaking Bad five season cult following Cheers Matthew Thank you very much
I hope that turn off 😂😂😂😂😂😂with door 😂😂😂😂
Why the bee in bonnet about copper theft 😂
Sparkford.
❤❤❤
Not I don’t stole no cooper stuff I love exploring history buildings
And goodbye or not goodbye
😱😱😱😱😱😱grow room
Unfortunately too close to houses for a rave :(
But would love too see more explores from the Somerset area
It’s a shame that would of made a nice gym
The pie key metal fairies have no shame and the house next door looked a bit bando too as the driveway you used did not looked like much traffic used it.
People have to ruin it by taking the copper pipe and cables all the places I've been it's all gone made a right mess 😢
British institution Haynes car maintenance books. Who ever financed that grow room set up had spent a lot of money.
They were forced to do it to pay off their drug debt
Such a Shame
Ok?
great place for the crystal maze get lost in there
Their manuals are crap now. I sent mine back and got a refund
