I have them all. I have to say , the dawn is really really really getting much better in the bottle . It keeps changing and after couple of months, it became one of my favorites. It’s really really good . The night is also amazing but don’t overspray it 😂😂😂😂 . You won’t believe it but even in the summer ,1 spray is more than enough . The moon is just magic ! Promise is the less when it comes to the dessert gem in my opinion
How is the longevity and sillage for you with Dawn? I got a bottle and find it much weaker in terms of performance when compared with Moon, Promise and Night.
Yo, if you're a candle guy, you're really got to check out Cire Trudon, I'm surprised you haven't looked into them. They're magnificent, grandious scented smells, like they smell of castles and foreign places etc. They also do amazing room spray versions. And that 'sample' you received, I'm pretty sure it's a scented wax bar you put into a clothing drawer to make it smell nice...
Dans Tes Bras is an interesting one, quite unusual. Sort of a salty, wet cement, metalic type of 'aroma'. I guess there's violet in there but I wouldn't call it a 'floral' scent. More like a salty metalic scent. Actually out of the whole line, I only own 3-4 and this is one of them. It's more of a personal aroma, a conceptual abstract scent, etc than a 'cologne' per se. It's definitely amongst the more abstract scents within Malle's line in my opinion. I don't find it hard to wear, I just rarely reach for it because I don't really know when to wear it. Interesting scent, I just rarely wear it. I'm interested to see what you think of it (give it at least a few wears to feel it out, it's not one you can just 'get' in one use).
Yes Benjoin in the french word for benzoin, and I don't understand why it's so hard to get hold of the Desert Gems samples either ! On the french Frédéric Malle website it states that the perfumes from that line are not returnable and if you want to try them beforehand you have to contact the nearest Frédéric Malle boutique and ask them to send you a perfumed card ?! That's disappointing :/ Anyway thanks for review ;)

Some of his perfumes are not worth it at all.😠 Yet, to be honest, other are worth it because I have never smelled anything like them. For example, Portrait of a lady, Musc Refaguer & the Night. 😎 Portrait of a lady is a beast by all mean , it would fill a room & last forever. 🤩
Dawn, is very different, IMO than the Night. I own all three. Carlos Benaem has a pretty good resume. Check him out on Fragrantica. On my bottle Dawn is written in grayish color though and not red
