When I moved to California from Maryland, I noticed that EPMD was popular and respected here, BOSS SHAWN. It was great getting to speak with MC Eiht about "Strictly Business." Thank you for watching.
EPMD has to be one of the most underrated groups of all time, GPROCK. What's your favorite LP & song of theirs? Thanks for watching & supporting #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.
Emile Mency, what makes EPMD your favorite group of all time? What's your favorite track of theirs? Thanks for supporting #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.

When you gots to chill dropped, I was lost for words. The class of 88 was so raw and different. They had everybody riding in a Suzuki and rocking bucket hats. The good ol days. I shot the sheriff, it's my thing,Janeeee. Yo,I thought they would never stop doing Jane. We named our crew hit squad because of them. Great group. Legends
My friends all thought I was a damn foo cause I bought this album 10 years after it came out in '98 when everyone was into Master P, DMX and Timberland and Magoo. After I first heard "You Gots to Chill" on a radio mixshow I was hooked. I'm still an EPMD and especially an Erick Sermon fan to this day. I even made my own westcoast homage version of "You Gots To Chill" when I made my demo songs.
#MC Eiht. Always been one of my favorites from the WC. Thats cool that one if my favorites is giving it you to one of my favorite groups of all time. #Respect #EMPD
Ha! Ha! All black groups from the midwest doing they funk thang!!! Check out the book "Funk" by Mickey vincent it maps out all funk groups arpund the U.S.!
I love when West Coast and South and others give props to east coast/ N.Y. rappers. It shows we were all together at one time. EPMD is Long Island N.Y. that's why they were so different. This is why they were compared to Rakim who was also from L.I. ( Public Enemy ,De La Soul) L.I. has a dope but different vibe than the city artist. These artist made hip hop spread all around the world. L.I. rappers brought house party to join city block party. A lot of digging in the crates all around N.Y is what made hip hop survive. If you enjoyed these dudes give them love and props then maybe we can start to bridge
Indeed, Dee Edwards. That's one of the reason why we wanted to do the #BestAlbums series. Artists appreciate other acts from all around the world, so we wanted to try to show that. Thanks for the support & for watching #UniqueAccess.
Thank you for the kind words, DjFingers Flores. I love interviewing artists, especially ones like #MCEiht that I've been listening to for more than half of my life. I appreciate your support.
Ohio definitely had a lot more of a role in the West Coast gangster rap sound than many realize, victornewman06. Thanks for watching & supporting #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.
That’s what I was gonna say! I’m from Detroit so I’m always bigging up ANYTHING Midwest. It’s funny how Zapp and others are considered west stuff but its Midwest.
Yes Indeed. I am from L.A. but I correct folks all the time about that electro funk it started with Zapp and the Troutman brothers from Ohio and P-Funk Parliament from Detroit. Why it resonates so well with my L.A. people? I think its the warmth of the heavy bass and analog moog synths. But like Eric Sermon wisely stated all black households had the same records: facts. EPMD gets props for going to Zapp and XxClan going to Parliament when everyone else was reaching for J.B. (I.e. Public Enemy and Rakim).
EPMD: lost for words. Summer of 1988, again lost for words. Bruthaz on my jock, cuz the way I hold a piece of steel, so, whut choo sayin'. Eric and Parrish was equally gifted.
yup...this is officially my favorite channel as far as interviews. Soren is thorough! The concept of having other emcees breaking down their favorite albums is dope too. #salute
Brian Genga thank you for that. I'm glad you enjoy #BestAlbums. I was excited when I came up with the concept and it's been great talking with several of my favorite rappers about some of their favorite albums.
Thank you for the kind words, Gerald Jackson. I'm glad you enjoyed the MC Eiht version of #BestAlbums. I love talking with artists about some of their favorite albums.
We appreciate that, Travis Hamilton. It was great hearing MC Eiht & #SorenBaker discuss EPMD. "It's My Thing" is a timeless record. Thanks for watching #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.
At that time EPMD must have been the only ones on the East Coast who were making songs with a West Coast flavor. Talking about the funky sample-reliant production.
Thanks for the kind words, lukey1210. It was great having MC Eiht & #SorenBaker talk EPMD. We can tell how much they love Erick & Parrish. Thanks for supporting #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.
I gotta agree with you!! I listened to rap before EPMD and some of it was good, but when EPMD came out, they took it to another level with the funky samples they used instead of that corny studio music. They also had seamless transitions back and forth and even thought Parris was the better of the two MCs, Erick's speech impediment just added something to those records which I can't explain. How many MCs can use "knick knack paddy wack give a dog a bone" on a rap record and make it sound good!!
@ mike gee, "I can't 4 get how they use 2 dis sayin he can't rap bcuz he talks with a lisp" And, my favorite line was E-Double spitting: "Now you wanna know me b4 u wasn't speakin', now u watch me on Yo MTV Raps every weekend, just 2 c me the E & the P coolin on the scene with Fab 5 Freddy" What a way to diss a girl that has her nose in the air.
That's a great perspective, mike gee. Thanks for the comment. EPMD definitely had some magic, from the samples to the way they rapped & played off of one another. We're glad you enjoyed this episode of #BestAlbums. Thanks for watching #UniqueAccess & for your support.
You Gots to Chill was a super hốt record thất was the Summer 88 anthem. But when they came out with You a costomer thất just killed it.Thật Strictly Business full album was fired.🔥
I was 16 turning 17 in 1988 & I remember the music from that time well....around that same time these albums were out as well: “Follow the Leader”- Eric B & Rakim “The Symphony”- Juice Crew “It Takes a Nation....”- PE “Long Live the Kane”- Big Daddy Kane “Goin Off”-Biz Markie “It Takes Two”-Rob Base “Dopeman”- NWA
EPMD never had a disappointing album. You gots to chill, Strictly Business, Listen to my Demo along with all the Jane’s put them in the rafters in my rap gym!!✊🏾✌🏾
Definitely, iam the interstellar the beyonder of free thinking. We'd also say that everyone influences everyone, especially in rap, which got is sonic foundation in the late 1970s/early 1980s from sampling & replaying songs. Thanks for watching & supporting #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.
While i’m happy to see a legend give props to other legends I feel a certain way about the interview. It comes off like EPMD was influenced by the west coast sound when that’s far from the truth. In 86-87 cats out here didn’t even have access to what dudes in cali were doing let alone what they sounded like. EPMD like Rakim and Public Enemy were Long Island cats that brought a new style and energy to the game. Back then you couldn’t blow sounding like the next man. Great stuff tho.
We hear you, Two Cents J. Knowing MC Eiht, we think he was saying that EPMD was influenced by the sounds that were popular out here on the West Coast at that time. Yes, Long Island brought a lot of greatness to the game. Here's Big Tray Deee breaking down the genius of Eric B. & Rakim’s “Paid In Full," th-cam.com/video/pBQdg5WUBFI/w-d-xo.html. Thanks for watching #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.
Unique Access Ent. All of our parents and grandparents listened to funk and old soul music. Parliament wasn’t just a Cali thing. That’s all i’m saying. I’m sure folks down south jammed to it too. It’s like Common said black music is black music and it’s all good. Eiht probably meant no harm but it’s all good. I know it’s other vids I’ll check em out and leave my comments.
Two Cents J ... wooooord...long island had its own scene then...the bars, battle of the DJs...you couldn't sound like the next man... BITING was illegal...
Indeed, Kriminal Attack Music. That's one reason we're glad MC Eiht spoke on EPMD, so that people may look at their music & legacy. Thanks for watching & supporting #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.
I would honestly put dr.dre as the #1 producer but, Erick sermon is definitely a tie or a very honorable 2nd. He brings the funk to every track he makes and he raps. The headbanger goes so hard.
I'm pretty sure Erick produced Head Banger. I recall him saying he almost gave that beat to Ice Cube. Parrish was ahead of his time though. He's so lowkey that most people don't even know he produced the majority of their first three albums.
Keith Witcher Premier is the Boom Bap God!! No better producer at that. Doesn’t make him better than Dre or Erick Sermon.. just a bit different in sound and technique. But there are so many good ones and opinions are all speculative because J Dilla in my opinion is the best to ever do it but there are many many more like QTip, Havoc, Large Professor, Quik, Diamond D, Pete Rock, Just Blaze, Madlib, Marley Marl, Psyco Les and the list goes on! But I can respect your choice on Premo as top dawg! Hell... I got the Gang Starr logo tatted on my right bicep cause I’m a HUGE fan of Premier and GURU
I alway's said Eric Sermon was the the EastCoast Dr.Dre. He was the producer of all of EPMD'S albums. And him and Dre were sampling some of the same records.
Lordchief Rocanumbaone, Erick Sermon is a great producer, indeed, but he and Parrish Smith did the EPMD albums together. Thank you for watching #BestAlbums. I appreciate the support.
According to an interview with pmd, he said he did the production on the first 3 albums, erick sermon did the production from business never personal through out of business
Dh Holaday, most definitely. I was excited when #MCEiht told me #StrictlyBusiness was the #BestAlbums he wanted to do. #EPMD was way ahead of the curve. Thank you for your continued support of #UniqueAccess.
EPMD did they thing!!! They was original with they slow flow to tha funk!!! You'd think they'd have mor MCs comin out of Ohio n Detroit even NY using funk samples n beats a lot of good funk!!! Westcoast had funk also it was just that sound boom, crack ! Check out book " Funk" by Mickey Vincent .
at that time P.E. - How he not remember PUBLIC ENEMY.. beats were hard / Chuck D made u put ya chin up. not taking anything away from EPMD all-time FAV - I'm just talking music era - at that time P.E. set foundation 4 NWA
We have a few interviews with Cold 187um. Here's one where Cold 187 talks about Recording with Ice Cube, The D.O.C. & His “The Black Godfather," th-cam.com/video/YpsD6y7x9ik/w-d-xo.html. Check it out & let us know what you think. Thanks for watching #UniqueAccess.
even though certain citys had their style in which the listen too we all had those albums and remember. parliaments. founder is from the east coast newark new jersey George CLINTON is a east coast cat so is his sound really westcoast think about besides no matter how you slice it everyblack neighborhood had those records from nyc to cali
Good points, Tracy Davis. In rap, at least, though, the sound became synonymous with the West Coast, as you know. That's what MC Eiht was talking about. Thanks for watching & supporting #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.
i love Epmd but Short was the slow flow originator why people never mention old school Short is wild but Epmd was my favorite group without a doubt Your a customer Big Payback and so on💪
We think the difference is that EPMD focused on slow flowing, whereas Too $hort still seemed to have more bounce, flair and variance in his flow at times. Erick & Parrish were much more consistent. What do you think? Thanks for watching #BestAlbums & #UniqueAccess.
Real recognize Real. That generation knows whta's up. Today's generation thinks they're pioneers of some sort... and while they're 100% wrong, they diss everything that brought them to this stage. It's reallly a sad stage. How about giving the props and respect due and building upon it?
We hear you, otobotrecords. That's what we're here doing, giving the props and respect due. Thanks for watching & supporting #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.
Gyea!!!!!!!!!!! I knew Eiht would say EPMD. Because "its A Compton Thang" was heavily influenced by EPMD. Eiht and Chill were like the West Coast Erick and Parish. Strictly Business is probably EPMD's best song on that ish. You Gots To Chill is the 2nd best. BUT, I disagree on the best EPMD album. Unfinished Business will wash EVERY EPMD album. Please Listen To My Demo. So Wat Cha Sayin'. Knick Knack Patty Wack. Total Kaos. Too many mf hits!!!!!!!!! Mfs used those same samples to make other hits (Kris Kross Tonite's Tha Night. Dr Dre's Stranded on Death Row. 2Pac's Cali Love). I still got the OG Sleepin Bag Records vinyl and cassette tape of Unfinished Business (not that Priority Records re-issue or any other re-issue bs). Unfinished Business is EPMD's best album
Yeah, Diane V. Both of those EPMD albums are tremendous. Lots of people used the beats from the first LP too, though. Thanks for watching & supporting #BestAlbums & #UniqueAccess, as always.
West Coast wasn't really funked out like that at first y'all memory is a lil cloudy....we didn't really associate West Coast with the funk until G-Funk got hot. West Coast in the Early early days was more electro bruh. Ice T jam called Wreckless(one of my favorites )was more how West Coast sounded at first
It was very funk-based but was called other things (electro hop, for instance), if we recall correctly, @messiahblackgod. Thanks as always for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
That Funk is originally from Plainfield New Jersey........PARLIAMENT FUNKADELIC......peace to Roger and Zapp but they got the funk from P-Funk New Jersey...
Unique Access Ent. Oh ok....just giving Parliament their just do considering EPMD seemed to sample them EXCLUSIVELY....along with De La Soul, THE WHOLE CHRONIC ALBUM, SNOOPS first album....to name a few...
GRAY WOLF, EPMD sampled Zapp's "More Bounce To The Ounce," among others, on "You Gots To Chill." We don't think there's a Parliament sample on that track. EPMD used all kinds of samples, not just Parliament.
Unique Access Ent. George Clinton and Bootsy Collins, who virtually invented funk in the late 60's, helped Roger and his brothers get the record deal at Warner Bros....
Its not a west coast sound. Zapp is from Ohio and Pfunk is from NJ. George Clinton was born in NC. Its a black sound. All black folks owned the same records lol great interview tho
Yes, yes, Dj Unknown. We know. We think Eiht was just saying that the West Coast rappers made it their sonic foundation. Thanks for watching #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.
I miss the late 80s to mid-90s! I'm 48 now and those were my Golden years and I was fortunate to be able to witness REAL Hip Hop! I remember back in Queens it was a MUST for me to cop the newest issues of The Source and XXL! But after Pac and Big were killed Hip Hop wasn't fun anymore and I gradually stopped following it. It became stagnant and watered down, it became a FORMULA: Say the N-word in every other line + how many "hoes" you got + how many N!&&a$ you shot + expensive cars and homes you LEASED for the video = RECORD SALES. Peace to Soren, he doesn't get the recognition he deserves!
west coast did not get noticed for the funk that early man come on now...west coast was on some electro shit. Straight outta Compton was full of break beats, sample chops and cuts and scratches not funk. What i think was being implied here is that eric sermon got his funk ideas from a west coast influence, how? in 88 west coast was still learning how to really embrace the culture, lets not forget just a few years earlier The Egyptian Lover was the shit! Even when Ice T dropped his first shit it wasnt necessarily funk heavy. Anyway peace to MC Eight one of them real Gs and peace to all the pioneers of the original format no matter what coast..
Black Messiah, some of the early N.W.A and Eazy-E records such as "Dope Man" and "We Want Eazy," among others, used Parliament, Bootsy Collins and others. That's about as funky as it gets. To your point, though, it's also true that they used break beats, sample chops, cuts and scratches, too. But they also had heavy funk elements. I also know that Roger Troutman, Zapp and others were some of the West Coast artists' main influences.
Even tho Egyptian Lover, uncle jams army, Rodney O and them cats were in the clubs also the la dream team ....the streets always was parliament, funkadelic and Zapp.......from blacks to the Mexicans who always repped 50's and 60's soul music.....
"..it resignated with me" -MC Eiht 😂 I only clicked to hear him fuck the English language up. Nah, it's cool to hear EPMD get props like this. They were my my favorite duo back in the day.
Really? The funk came from James Brown and Parliament. I know both had the same players, yet neither groups were from the west coast. The funk is from the south.
Parliament was formed on the East Coast, wasn't it? Bootsy was from Cincinnati, right? We think the funk is from everywhere, including the South. Thanks for watching #UniqueAccess.
All 5 of epmd's LP's are masterpieces
Definitely, Michele Cobré. They've got seven LPs that we know of. The first four albums are extra potent. Thanks for watching.
Exactly!
1st two were the best 88 89
@@justmejm yes the def jam ones are better and a progression of them getting better
I do not think We Mean Business is a masterpiece 👎👎
A real MC recognizes real MC.
Thank you for watching #UniqueAccess, Maurice Woods. I've known #MCEiht since the '90s and it's always great speaking with him.
Maurice Woods, most definitely. It was great hearing #MCEiht pay homage to #EPMD on #BestAlbums. Thanks for the support.
EPMD was like a west coast album back then. We slapped Strictly Business hard.
You said it, BOSS SHAWN. Thanks for watching #BestAlbums.
So what cha sayin! That beat was hard.
When I moved to California from Maryland, I noticed that EPMD was popular and respected here, BOSS SHAWN. It was great getting to speak with MC Eiht about "Strictly Business." Thank you for watching.
BOSS SHAWN LI the fuckin illest. Met a few LI cats out here in Long Beach, CA.

I still rock a fisherman's hat! But it's hard to find the ones with the ridge on top, most of them are bucket hats...

Man I remember all that I had ITS MY THANG ON 12". I like the interview style too.
💯 Keith Witcher.
Thanks for watching, Alexandros Thomas. #EPMD was definitely ahead of its time, especially sonically.
Alexandros Thomas I agree with you homie...
that EPMD album (especially you've gots to chill) was played loud on all the car systems for a whole year
...or the west coast got their flavor from EPMD. The time stamp speaks wonders.
Jane and how the story continued from album to album
That was a classic song series, Clifton Morrow. What's your favorite "Strictly Business" song? Thanks for watching #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.
I can hear MC Eiht talk all day. I can talk about EPMD all day so this video is easily one of my favourites on TH-cam.

My favorite rap duo of all time. I didn't even listen to rap until I heard EPMD.
I gotta agree with you!! I listened to rap before EPMD and some of it was good, but when EPMD came out, they took it to another level with the funky samples they used instead of that corny studio music. Heard MC Eiht was in the hospital. Hope he is well. It's A Compton Thing. Classic joint by CMW.
Eiht was in the hospital. He told #SorenBaker two weeks ago that he was doing much better now. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
You Gots to Chill was a super hốt record thất was the Summer 88 anthem. But when they came out with You a costomer thất just killed it.Thật Strictly Business full album was fired.🔥
You said it, Emmett Lewis. The entire LP is incredible. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
The aforementioned title they were dissing Rakim?
I think EPMD had an influence from the JVC Force who did that song 'Strong Island' in 1987.
I was 16 turning 17 in 1988 & I remember the music from that time well....around that same time these albums were out as well: “Follow the Leader”- Eric B & Rakim
“The Symphony”- Juice Crew
“It Takes a Nation....”- PE
“Long Live the Kane”- Big Daddy Kane
“Goin Off”-Biz Markie
“It Takes Two”-Rob Base
“Dopeman”- NWA
Great songs right there, Pig Ford. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Damn how do you pick from all that great music?
I wish I was older in that era
EPMD never had a disappointing album. You gots to chill, Strictly Business, Listen to my Demo along with all the Jane’s put them in the rafters in my rap gym!!✊🏾✌🏾
For sure, @curtmagee. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Ohio and Oakland influence the whole West Coast music rap scene
Definitely, iam the interstellar the beyonder of free thinking. We'd also say that everyone influences everyone, especially in rap, which got is sonic foundation in the late 1970s/early 1980s from sampling & replaying songs. Thanks for watching & supporting #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.
Alot ppl dont know that
Good looking

EPMD made wearing the fisherman hat a rap trend! Yeeeeahhh. Loved EPMD!
All day, @theconcealedmistress. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
Mc Eight respect OG coming from the east coast
Appreciate that, I am the streetz. Thanks for watching MC Eiht on #BestAlbums. It was great hearing him talk about EPMD.
My joints on Strictly Business was Let The Funk Flow and You’re A Customer. But the whole album was classic.
Two Cents J, th-cam.com/video/pBQdg5WUBFI/w-d-xo.html is the link.
Indeed, Two Cents J. Thanks for the insight.
Two Cents J ... wooooord...long island had its own scene then...the bars, battle of the DJs...you couldn't sound like the next man... BITING was illegal...
Great channel. Keep it going.
I appreciate that, Freddie B. Thank you for checking out #MCEiht & me on #BestAlbums.

Thank you for the support, twobighedz. I'm glad you enjoy the channel.
Thanks twobighedz. We're glad you're enjoying the channel.
I would honestly put dr.dre as the #1 producer but, Erick sermon is definitely a tie or a very honorable 2nd. He brings the funk to every track he makes and he raps. The headbanger goes so hard.
Keith Witcher I don't agree but, I can respect it atleast you didn't say metro booming lmao!!
JJ, thanks for the comment. #ErickSermon definitely has produced a lot of great material. #PMD produced #HeadBanger, too.
JJ I love Erick Sermon but I cant put him over Marley Marl, Preemo, or Pete Rock. I'd put E.Sermon in s class with Large Proffesor.

Classic, @stevebiko7313. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.
I like the because im housin remix....first heard it on kday...
EIHT IZ A LEGEND
I alway's said Eric Sermon was the the EastCoast Dr.Dre. He was the producer of all of EPMD'S albums. And him and Dre were sampling some of the same records.
Lordchief Rocanumbaone, Erick Sermon is a great producer, indeed, but he and Parrish Smith did the EPMD albums together. Thank you for watching #BestAlbums. I appreciate the support.
Erick Sermon is an amazing producer, Lordchief Rocanumbaone. Thanks for supporting #BestAlbums.
Parish produce the first 2 or 3 albums by himself.
The 4th album Business Never Personal was the first Erick produced by himself. You just proved how underrated PMD is as a producer...lol.
According to an interview with pmd, he said he did the production on the first 3 albums, erick sermon did the production from business never personal through out of business
That first EPMD is soooo funky.
We Come Strapped fav album..Geeea
That's a great one, @Doggfan. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccessEnt.

Dh Holaday, most definitely. I was excited when #MCEiht told me #StrictlyBusiness was the #BestAlbums he wanted to do. #EPMD was way ahead of the curve. Thank you for your continued support of #UniqueAccess.
Dh Holaday, yes. #EPMD's #StrictlyBusiness brings so much to the table and was extremely influential. We're glad you enjoyed #MCEiht on #BestAlbums.

Yeah, sirpoppinchuck. EPMD was incredible. Thanks for watching & supporting #UniqueAccess.

even though certain citys had their style in which the listen too we all had those albums and remember. parliaments. founder is from the east coast newark new jersey George CLINTON is a east coast cat so is his sound really westcoast think about besides no matter how you slice it everyblack neighborhood had those records from nyc to cali
Good points, Tracy Davis. In rap, at least, though, the sound became synonymous with the West Coast, as you know. That's what MC Eiht was talking about. Thanks for watching & supporting #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.
just subbed
Orlando Anthony, I appreciate the support. Thank you.
Thanks, Orlando Anthony. We hope you're enjoying the channel.
Always, I'm a big fan of the OLD school hip hop industry.... This NEW school today is garbage in the industry
Thanks for the support, Eric Middleton. We appreciate it.
i love Epmd but Short was the slow flow originator why people never mention old school Short is wild but Epmd was my favorite group without a doubt Your a customer Big Payback and so on💪
We think the difference is that EPMD focused on slow flowing, whereas Too $hort still seemed to have more bounce, flair and variance in his flow at times.
Mad props to you guys. Peace and one love from Germany.
Appreciate that, otobotrecords.
You forgot the cult classic - Jane. It became a Series.
True
Eric Middleton, thanks for watching.
Ok lotta love for mc Eight but am I the only one who really needs subtitles when he and 50 talk. Ijs

We're on it, michael truthson. We've got more videos coming next week. Thanks for watching.
That Funk is originally from Plainfield New Jersey........PARLIAMENT FUNKADELIC......peace to Roger and Zapp but they got the funk from P-Funk New Jersey...
The Midwest, too, GRAY WOLF. Thanks for the comment & for watching.
No it's not.
Jeeer

@@UniqueAccessEnt Np.keep the Dopeness cometh.
Pretty much majority of the funk came from the state of Ohio for real
It did, indeed, Anton Chapman. It's wild. Thanks for watching & supporting #BestAlbums on #UniqueAccess.

Thanks for watching, Dell Spacely.
Shut up
Antuan Grantham you mad?
WHERE IS YOUR ALBUM MC EIHT HOW ABOUT YOU ASK HIM ABOUT THAT
You gonna buy it?
6:16 mark LoL at the look on his face to Eiht saying "adversity" Dude was like um...don't you mean diversity? lol

Thanks for watching & supporting, mynellemail Nell.
west coast did not get noticed for the funk that early man come on now...west coast was on some electro shit.
Thanks for watching & for the perspective, Black Messiah. We appreciate the support.
Even tho Egyptian Lover, uncle jams army, Rodney O and them cats were in the clubs also the la dream team ....the streets always was parliament, funkadelic and Zapp.......from blacks to the Mexicans who always repped 50's and 60's soul music.....
The Funk came from The east coast... Do your home work..
I never heard a EPMD album I liked. Every album they made had some nice bangers tho. Kind of like Tricc Daddy
