I just found out that my childhood friend died of a heart attack. 34 years old. He had been doing meth and drinking since the age of 16-17 and became a whole different person shortly after. Sad stuff man.

"I'm making videos that are not helpful to people" - with all due respect... I think you are wrong.
Screw the darn algorithm and the what TH-cam says. I think you are making videos that are helping people, even if the number of people that are watching is smaller. Just means that the group is more intimate. Everyone changes their niche, and what content means to them. I find it helpful when I am able to catch it. I hope your buddy is able to get the help he needs, and overcome this misstep. You are doing the good work Dorian. Don't ever think you are not my good man. Thanks!

_If you just look upon your life you’ll see_
    _Everything inside as a memory._
_Do I stand in there with thee…?_
_Simple question that I ask of you, you see._
Last refrain of _Trauma_ by Lii
    Thank you for sharing, Dorian

Ive never really left a comment on a yt video but I feel this 1000% brotha. I’m happy for you man. I pray my outcome will be the same or similar to yours. It’s been some years now since I’ve lived fast but I’m doing everything I can to keep my transition in a positive motion. I found some inspiration from this, thanks bro.

Hi Dorian, I'm happy you found your friend, even though he's not in the best place and also because you were able to let his mother know. Thanks for the update. I had been wondering if you had received any news. Hope he turns his life around.

Your videos are so well done and genuine.
I'd love to see a video from you on breakups/heartbreak. Just went through a breakup and everything feels like it has turned upside down 😞

Thanks for sharing so honestly and i really hope your friend can get on his feet again. I miss my friends, too. I wish i could be more of use for them... sometimes i really think i dont give them not even 1% of support they need. And everyone keeps saying: im ok.

Your video hits home, but for very different reasons.
My mum grew up having a hard life. She wanted to put all of that behind her and married my dad. My dad was raised in a "glass jar" (sheltered) as a result of being raised in a "good family". So far so good one would think...
Here's the deal. My mum raised us pretty much like a single mum. My dad was always emotionally absent. He is what many on the internet would call a "living NPC".
As a result... as a teenager and as a young adult I had serious anger issues. I am so grateful to God that I was able to control myself and NOT end up in jail. Only by His intervention I am now where I am (in a good sense, living as a free man).
My best and closest friends of mine were always the "naughty ones". I have met many who, just like my father, grew up in a sheltered environment and... I actually pitty them. They are in my eyes emotionally handicapped. And they will be always sad and empty throughout all their lives.
I respect you chose to steer away from the path of self destruction and consequently avoided people who do so.
But KUDOS TO YOU, for being there for a childhood friend at his darkest of times.
And trust me that your last is what will make you an AWESOME dad for your kids.
Please, do not try to over protect them. Sure, keep them out of trouble. But do talk to them about the harsh aspects of life.
There is no easy route to becoming a mature and self aware person.
Or as one had said, if you wish to become a wise man, be prepared to shed as many tears as drops in the ocean.
Kindest regards to you, and wishing all the best for your friend!
Edit: your past (not, your last)

You don’t even have to understand there is life outside the neighborhood you just have to go to a better place. Obviously people who don’t think about leaving don’t leave. Just leaving works. Btw please make a video how to find people if you want to I would find that interesting as I’m looking for my brother in FL

Hey Dorian. This might be a personal question, and it's something I've struggled with a lot myself, but do you happen to have ADHD?

A letter ? Put some money on his books ( i am not saying you haven't) , if he gets $50 dollars a month that might literally save his life .
Being broke in jail is extremely dangerous i dont want to say why , a few dollars can really change the quality of his life .
