Great idea! My wife enjoys pyrography but sometimes wood is difficult because of the grain. I will show her this and maybe a new hobby will arise!

Let me know if she likes it if she gives it a try!

My favorite aspectof this is that this seems arthritis-friendly.
I am taking a leather working class soon and I a not sure how well I can handle it, but knowing there is a method of designing leather with a gentle hand gives me hope and inspiration!

I'm finishing a sketchbook cover for a large sketchbook for my eldest daughter and I've engraved the leather with this technic thanks to you, she'll love the stupid capybaras bathing in the pond I've done on the front ! Thanks for the great idea!
P.S.: I saw that the "pros" use woodburning irons which have specific ball points, seems easier with those

Holy shit Clever!!! I have a woodburner with temperature control that has a "leather" setting. I was literally coming on to find a video about how to do this!!!

I know... I have been watching you for some time now... waiting for the day you would find that setting to start you down this dark path. MUAHAHAHAHAHA!

@@SkillTree This was a good example of transferring art ...
Just while I'm at it for anyone that's interested ...
I created a tabletop drawing board using a piece of ply 2' long & 1.5' wide (60cm x 45cm x 1cm) with a piece of 2 or 3"x1"x 2'4" (5 or 7.5cm x 2.5cm x 71cm) long pine on it's edge screwed on the back so the board sits high at the back & leave 2" (5cm) at either end sticking out the sides to clamp on a battery operated baby's "stroller fan" with a clamp & face it away from your work akin to an exhaust fan ... it's not aggressive where it draws the heat out of the pen tip ... works a treat keeping the smoke out of your face & is really cheap ... Cheers
