I got Stalin about a year and half ago and Austin about 6 months ago. I haven’t played Stalin in probably 10 months and every time I get on I play the Austin at least once.
recently i've been running a build on my Austin with the four points skill against cv (can't remember the name) and it has been really fun, when u get your aa active, reloading quicker my MBRB, and doing more aa damages, which can't be a bad thing on this ship since it already has a "good" aa (yeah i know aa in 2024 kek), resulting in more dakka! The downside is obviously when there is no planes to shoot down even tho these days we got many situations where your aa can be active (gouden leuuw, asw, cvs, hybrid ships). If you never experienced i would suggest you to give it a try ;)
Yes, I was thinking about this for randoms as well, the ability to get back that reload booster a lot faster seems like a great bonus and a chance increase overall damage. Cause honestly most of the time you are looking to utilize that MBRB.
Light cruisers are probably the most fun ships to play if you're really good at the game. Austin, Colbert, radar mino, worcester, DM (a light cruiser now despite the gun calibre), etc. CLs and Schlieffen are basically the only ships I play anymore, having otherwise gotten a little tired of WoWs high risk, high reward :)
I am absolutely loving c.Colombo. I find the smoke just provides such excellent utility that you can afford to play far more risky. Combined with the extremely nice firing angles and 360 rear turrets, it’s just a really comfortable ship. The ap hits really hard, the shell velocity and drag is fantastic so it’s easy to aim and hit, and with the recent sigma buffs it honestly doesn’t feel all that inaccurate; the sheer volume of shells seems to guarantee damage. I don’t really understand why I like it so much. I know on paper the other t10 battleships I own (Yama, Kremlin, Rhode Island, schlieffen) are better, but Colombo just performs and is the least frustrating to play thanks to its tanky hull and smoke get out of jail free card.
I only have Stalingrad and Austin (of the CA), and that's the way I picked them up. You maybe correct about placing Austin first in Random, but in any sort of competition setting (clan battles, especially), I'll take Stalingrad EVERY time. Since, I play Brawl, Ranked & CB more often than anything else, the choice is easy. The other thing is that Austin has a pretty high skill-level, average players (or below) often have a really hard time with Austin. But Austin was pretty fun in brawls IF you can find cover.
I agree with your Stalingrad experience both past being funny to play and latest rather miserable. I found that recommended build with 15,8km concealment doesn't work from very start of match (at least in ranked), unable to go flank or take some cover or simply getting spotted too soon and easy. Stalingrad was my 2nd steel ship just after Shiki. I didn't play much Plymouth, I will probably try few more matches give an opportunity to that spent steel a year ago, xd. As there are currently only FDR, Austin, Vallejo, Ragnar and Z xy😅🤷🏼♀️(42?) left there for me, I will probably get Austin or Ragnar once next discount coupon comes in.
It is hard to keep Stalingrant afloat long enough these days, the ship tends to get focused by the enemy teams, but I do have my best ever base xp game with this ship, wasn't easy though. Lots of mediocre games to get there
thnx for great video,, sorry to say, i stopped playing the game when i met 2 subs 4 dd`s and a cv in a round,, was in a bb.. and under 3 minutes i was hit by two full salvos from cv torpedoplane`s,, and had been pinged two times by a sub,, with incoming torps, thats was impossible to dodge... then there was a gouden... can you make a video how to survive that??
I would take Stalingrad as number 1 and Austin as number 2. The reason probably is because Austin doesn't have smoke... That's also why I prefer Jinan over Austin... Just for that feel of safety probably.
Stalingrad is objectively better than Austin. But Austin is more fun if you're good at the game, otherwise I imagine most players just get deleted even with the 32mm armor to protect them. I personally prefer Stalingrad because its guns have always been incredibly consistent. Fire prevention being lost is unfortunate, but the ship is still extremely powerful.
Why the clown emojis? I believe PQ stated quite clearly that he will be ranking these ships by his own enjoyment. And would you imagine? Different people enjoy different things more
Ragnar if you like hunting dds and being super tanky Stalingrad if you want a more standered super crusier Austin isn't worth a pick up unless you want to have some fun Bourgogne if you like fast reload booster battleships And Mecklenburg if you want 16 guns Up to what you want
I'm also poor, so I grind my way up. Though I got my fifth T10 the other day, a St Vincent, I have yet to be able to afford a steel ship. What ship did you go for first?
@SirTyron Preussen. Secondaries go brrrr My second tier 10 unlock is probably going to be the Essex because I've somehow almost ground out the xp to immediately get it once early access is over. I am beginning to hard grind French bbs tho, so we'll see
Preussen was also my first. Tell you the truth, I also did a secondary build on mine but the main guns let me down and without the torps of the Schlieffen you had to stay far to mid range. And the dispersion of the shell just ruined it for me. Through some early access campaigns I got the Pan American cruiser at T8, so I quickly got a St Martin, them the Goliath and Minotaur. Same with the Venezia and now St. Vincent. Last on my list is a Zou, currently playing an unfitted Ibuki, with only 296K of research to get through... @@leopardspheel3638
Why do you spend 80% of the video saying shit like "in my opinion", "thaaaaaats what I peersonally think", "I, on my own personal account, wouldn't get it! But you caaaan if you like it!!" Who hurt you? Why are you so afraid of standing up for your own opinions that you need to put in a 50 hour disclaimer about how this is your opinion, and it might be good for others?? Sounds mighty suss to me!
25:43 "Remember that if you enjoy playing a ship don´t let anybody tell you otherwise ..."
... except for if its a sub or cv
This is 100% correct, 120% of the time.
Best part, one can't tell if this is CV-hating or neutral. It goes both ways lol.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but krupp value is the hardness of a shell, which plays a part in its ability to penetrate armour.
Yamato and Montana having better concealment than Stalingrad is messing me up 💀
Also PQ did you notice that Vallejo will be citadelled by Conqueror and Thunderer HE. Truly an aweful ship
I got Stalin about a year and half ago and Austin about 6 months ago. I haven’t played Stalin in probably 10 months and every time I get on I play the Austin at least once.
Austin is also my favorite ship, together with Atlanta.... yes... I still have soft spot for Atlanta. Austin is just high level version of it :)

Also a great way to make sure the cv learns not to fuck with you lol

Smolensk :)

%100 agreed, high risk high reward
I love the Jinan
@@angryviper1 yeah me too.
Austin, smolensk and Jinan are my favorites light cruisers.
The only difference on my list would be that I would put the Stalingrad at No 1 and Austin at No 2, the Austin is just too squishy for my liking.

I've gotten 2 steel shops so far, did bourg virat then the stali. I end up playing the stali a lot in clan battles when the ship restrictions kick in.
What other ships are restricted in Clan Battles?
I'm still a loooong way off from enough steel for one, but Borg will be my first pick. 🤞😉
The term you are looking for is Ballistic Coeffient. Usually listed as bc. A high bc means the shell will retain its velocity longer.
Austin with reload booster is outright OP and hilarious.
I have enough steel and I'm torn between an Austin and Incomparable. Thanks for the Steel Ship vids
It is hard to keep Stalingrant afloat long enough these days, the ship tends to get focused by the enemy teams, but I do have my best ever base xp game with this ship, wasn't easy though. Lots of mediocre games to get there
OK, so reload boosters are good. Have you reviewed Almirante Grau?
He actually did. Sadly, he did only one vid on it. I got it from the event for free, and I enjoy it.

14:09 tug boats "X" smoke from stacks.

Do a UUs tier list

What do you think of the Hector? I think it's a research ship.
it is a research bureau ship
Stalin would be my first choice ..it blaps and cross fires a lot of you're playing competitively rather than Austin
I bought the Vallejo late last year. It's a hot piece of garbage. I hate having to have a special build for the captain and the ship.
day 21 of asking pq to play Worcester/seattle😊
First game gets dev struck. Second game gets dev struck lol
Every game get dev struck or shotgunned 💀
@@ishaanthadani7100 he shouldn’t even bother with Seattle. It’s not that it’s terrible. It’s just not fun being tier 9 and being a floating citadel
There's only the rear plate on the Worcester that can bounce shells. Either way you are still a floating citadel lmao
bro has like 5 wooster videos
I think for most players (i.e. not Unicums), Stalingrad is much easier to use/enjoy than Austin.
Of course he would pick one of the hardest ships in the game to play as number one lol
Austin>Stalingrad🤡🤡🤡
Why the clown emojis? I believe PQ stated quite clearly that he will be ranking these ships by his own enjoyment. And would you imagine? Different people enjoy different things more
Who the fuck cares about stalingrad Austin is more based
Stalingrad has its uses and Austin is useful in its own right
So after Bourgogne, Ragnar and Stalingrad, the question now is: first Mecklenburg or Austin?
Ragnar if you like hunting dds and being super tanky
Stalingrad if you want a more standered super crusier
Austin isn't worth a pick up unless you want to have some fun
Bourgogne if you like fast reload booster battleships
And Mecklenburg if you want 16 guns
Up to what you want
Mecklenburg.
unless you hate yourself in which case the autism is right for you
I really hate this guy his opinions always ruin the fun I have playing this game.
AUSTIN #1! It is as I predicted!
Hi PQ
Henlo
I don't know why I watch these considering I only unlocked my first tier 10 two days ago and haven't even bought it cause im poor
