    How cool is that ........thx for the inside look..
    3 add on s from the Conference talks alone I hope they come soon....
    specially this add on and the scene viewport manager from blender Bob...
    happy blending ...

    Sooo interesting ! As this is geometry nodes based, could you share a link to the file you use please ?
    Very promising as simulation nodes are coming , at least in branches in 3.5
    Good continuation.👍

    Looks good...but if I wanted to achieve that I would probably use a game engine

      yeah unreal can do it but imagine this with eevee

    • @umbrella0148
      @umbrella0148 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      eventually someone will do something similar in blender

    • @DitiPeng
      @DitiPeng 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RealParadoxed You can do it with Eevee just fine. Use the Shrinkwrap modifier on a simple surface (like a plane or a triangle) so that the simple surface reacts to the object below it (waves you’d animate, or whatever). And then, in edit mode, select some vertexes out of the hull of your ship, and press Ctrl + P to create a Vertex Parent. Ta-da, you have ship dynamics without fluid simulation.

    • @juryrigging
      @juryrigging 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@DitiPeng Not really. You can parent an object to an animated wave in Eevee, yes, but it's a stretch to call the resultant effect ship dynamics. You could replace the ship with a smaller boat, Suzanne, or even the default cube, and they'd all behave more or less the same, regardless of their size or shape. What has people excited here is the prospect of real-time physics-based interaction between an object and the wave surface without using the fluid sim, something far more complicated.

      @@LoganDark4357 well then it's entirely your problem. I am NOT an english native speaker, and nonetheless I can understand every single word he says. some of them are wrong ("multiplicate" instead of "multiply", etc.), he puts "e" at the beginning of words starting with "s" ("estuff", etc.), but it is still understandable

      @@itellyouforfree7238 woah wtf rude. not everyone is neurotypical and has a perfect understanding of speech, even if they are a native speaker, not to mention that non-native speakers of english actually tend to be better at it

      @@LoganDark4357 well you didnt say "im impaired hence cant comprehend what he's saying". you said "i cant understand WHAT THE FUCK he's saying", quite rude as well. he's not saying ANY FUCK at all, he's just speaking with a very typical spanish inflection, with the most common errors ("e" before "s"...). i'm neither british not spanish, but i dont find it any harder than understanding the typical FUCKING indian or french or italian or chinese guy. the words he uses are also all quite simple, with the possible exception of buoyancy, which is however typed in the slides
