See why you guys are critiquing off of some highlights I was actually watching all of those games live, and the biggest difference between then and now is that guys back then knew how to play actual team ball, they understood their place on the team.

Michael Blackson's stunt-double - do a little research. MJ played vs plumbers? That'd the dumbest $#!@ I've heard since King Con aka Massengill Mentality aka Bron said he was the GOAT. Not only did MJ ball against top 15 players all-time (Kareem, Magic, Bird, Hakeem, Duncan, Shaq and Kobe) but he played in an era with some of the greatest perimeter defenders all-time (Moncrief, Alvin Robertson, Rodman, Payton, Michael Cooper, Dennis Johnson, Dumars, Pippen-in practice) and greatest rim protectors all-time (Hakeem, David Robinson, Mourning, Mutombo, Ewing, Eaton, Rollins, Parish). And in an era where today's flagrant twos were just common fouls. If MJ played against plumbers then Bron has played against Avon Ladies.

Scoring champion MVP and defensive player of the year in the same season. Averaged over 30 for his career and played all 82 games every year but one when he was injured. Labron only played all 82 once and nobody has had a 3000 point season since Jordan and it's easier to score today.. Jordan would average 50 in today's game..on and on. GOAT.

One thing I do find funny watching these reactions is guys wondering why they didn't play defense on him this way or that way, or some other way. Fact was, he had a lightning first step so he could beat you, 48 inch vertical so he could jump over you, deadly midrange and some of the best post moves in the game, and he was strong enough to back most guys down there if he chose. Then when he got to the rim he could jam on anyone or bail out into the craziest layup package you ever saw. Sure, take away one or even two things if you can, but you can't stop him. Then beyond just the talent level you have one of the most serial killer mentalities I ever saw in sport and good luck.

"He has way more hang time than Lebron." Thank you, Captain Obvious. And you said about MJ, "Yeah, he could play today," as if you are being generous. No hand checking? He would annihilate today's NBA. The guys today that you think are superior would not be able to create separation from the great defenders of that era, and there is no way they are blowing past them either. The "plumbers" of that era would kill the weak, lazy players today. No way could they handle that kind of brute, physical defense. And you say the other players in MJ's era aren't good defenders? Clearly, you don't know the era. MJ made hall of famers look silly. Nobody could defend him. His defense was as good as his offense; he had no weaknesses. He hustled and played defense every single minute he was on the court. He didn't take his time getting back, he didn't quit when things weren't going his way, he didn't flop and whine, he didn't stop playing defense, ever, and he didn't rely on the 3 which makes his scoring feats even more impressive. He could definitely shoot the 3 but he didn't have to.
Anybody can be your favorite player, but being the best is a whole different thing. And either study that era or shut up about it and get honest.

At the beginning of this video Jordan said that he was starting at the bottom and had to work his way up. That's an attitude he carried. People said he couldn't shoot. He worked tirelessly on his shot and became arguably the best mid range shooter in history. James came into the league already thinking he was better than everyone else. Tell me what part of his game he improved on during his career?? All of his stats remained consistent. Most are really good, bit he never improved on anything. He still can't shoot free throws, in fact he's gotten a bit worse. He still turns the ball over like crazy. First in history with the most turnovers.

A true GOAT's psyche isn't Monistat yeast infection creameries. A true GOAT doesn't have a Chernobyl reactor size meltdown on the biggest stage (2011 NBA Finals) and gets criticized by a teammate (House) of quitting in a multitude of games when he was outplayed by a low-fueled jet of a role player. A true GOAT doesn't get called a bitch by a teammate (Chalmers) during a timeout of a game cause he was ballin' too passively and not bringin' the heat in a flash ala Wade.

When these idiots say that MJ was playing against plumbers the 1992 Dream Team everyone is in the hall of fame. I’m 46 years old and was lucky enough to see MJ play live a dozen or so times. I was at 2 home games when the Bulls beat the Suns here in Phoenix in 1993. MJ is just something else to watch. Barkley was the MVP that year and was having an amazing series but MJ was just to much. When they have the GOAT conversation it’s always between MJ and Bron. What about Kobe? Kobe has more rings than Bron and for me Kobe was the closest to MJ. He modeled his game after Mikes. Don’t get me wrong Bron is on the Mount Rushmore of ball players but players feared MJ. They don’t fear Bron like that. Ive seen all 3 of them play live. I’ve seen Kobe the most because I moved to Los Angeles in 1997 and my buddies family has had Laker season tickets since Magic came to the Lakers and we use to go to the Staple Center and watch Kobe play a lot. Kobe is #2 in my book. Retired players have come on podcasts and told stories of what it was like to play against MJ and they lost sleep knowing that they are going to have to face MJ the next day. To me and my generation,Gen X,MJ will always be the GOAT.
