This video was sponsored by Skillshare - 3D printing has improved in leaps and bounds over the past 5 years! Getting detail this intricate was something only big companies could afford but now the average modeler like you and me also have the ability to make flawless models with ease.
So far the modeling I’ve been doing on the Anet N4 is sized to be HO scale however if you’re modeling in N scale a printer like this is a must. Regular FDM printers just don’t cut the mustard when trying to get the fine details we want for our scale models.
The only limitation I see at the moment with these printers is print volume, the printable area is quite small so for example the house I built in this video needed to be separated into sections small enough to fit in the printable area and then once all the components are printed they are assembled. So if you want to model in the larger scales you may run into problems.
For more information about 3D printing and to read the review about the Anet N4 be sure to visit www.bouldercreekrailroad.com

@Manuel Santos one part isn't a fixed amount. It refers to the ratio. So, in this case, one part mod podge three parts water means a 1:3 ratio. For example for 100ml of the scenic glue its 25 ml of mod podge and 75ml of water plus the dish soap (It could also be by weight and not volume).

I love your channel, it's relaxing and inspiring. My wife and I purchased a five-acre densely wooded lot in BC, Canada two years ago and I know every inch (I've named many of the large Douglas Firs, as odd as that might sound). We've added gardens, small outbuildings, and plan to get some goats and chickens, but we will keep the majority forested and let it do its thing. There's a new project every year (last year it was the Pergola we got married in). I'd love to model the property, display it in our living room, and modify the model as we and the kids undertake new projects. This is quite helpful. Cheers!

hobby building has came along ways, I remember being a kid helping my grandfather on his h.o. train set, we would walk around the farm looking for stuff or looking in the barns for items to use. He would turn some of the craziest stuff into works of art. Collecting hair from brushes used on animals to be used for grass on his lay-out. People from all over came to see his train lay out. Memories

Adding a tiny chamfer to the model where it attaches to the build plate will help to reduce or eliminate flashing. The printer can easily handle a 45 degree overhang. If you get the dimensions right you’ll be left with a perfectly square edge after removing from the build plate. Another amazing models by the way 👍
