Benzema is just such a revolutionary centre forward. There's no copy of him. Harry Kane drops in and all that but he's not like Benzema. The French man is too versatile. He's the perfect meeting between a pure 9 and a false 9.
Harry Kane drops deep while Benzema drifts wide, same as Aguero. Either way they are all special players.

Many strikers can link up play but the most difficult is to score goals consistently. Players ran for messi too so they sacroficed themselves cmon, see videos of him missing sitters that were easy chances and its not once or twice many chances that ronaldo created for him

Benz is best ST because he can make other players better, look at the youth of RM, look at Cr7 at RM & etc, he can also carry & win it solo by himself scoring goals out of nowhere. Like Frank was rating players he saw, Zizou was rating Benz above the players he saw. Frank has not seen enough of Benzema, like many others in the world he was a shadow & often never acknowledged but those who saw Benz for a long time, they know he's just under Messi & Cr7 in this era.

Benzema is NOT a false 9. Dropping deep to link up doesn't make a striker a false 9. Neither does going outwide. Otherwise Henry, Lewy, Rooney, Kane and many others are false 9s too. Which is absurd. It just means they are more versatile strikers capable of doing different things on the pitch. Benzema is as classical of a striker as it gets. Built like a striker and played striker from day 1 at Lyon. Listed as striker every year of his career. Self described as striker.

There was time Real Madrid fans constantly demanding for Benz's exit. They even booed him but not for wrong reasons. His finishing was atrocious in the last few seasons CR7 played in Los Blancos. He was also struggling with confidence. But despite allof that Zidane never left him out of his squad. There is only one reason for that.
-Benzema's fabulous link up play with great positioning. Even when he missed open chances, Benema created many opportunities because of his passing skills and football IQ. He has always been world class playmaker ST. But after Ronaldo's departure Benzema found his scoing boots and took his game to another level. Henry at his peak was terrific for Arsenal but Benzena was the number choice for a club like Real Madrid for how many years?
