Nothing wrong with the 3.5 L ecoboost. I have 228,000 on my 2016 still going strong. I’m also off-road a lot in Construction and is the best truck I’ve ever had with no issues
I’ve got a 2019 F150 Platinum with a 3.5L Ecoboost, and I absolutely love it! I’ve done a few things to it, like the same trifold tonneau cover, (which is great), but the biggest thing and I suggest you do it too, is I added an oil catch can. Even though it’s dual injection now, you’d be amazed at the nasty oil that comes out when I drain it. It should really increase the life of the engine by installing one. Love the truck though, and welcome to the F150 family.
I rent stuff..got it from Enterprise..been driving it the last two days. Very smooth drive. Very luxurious on the inside..badge interior..ton of room and the ports..very comfortable. I love comfort. I love the Dodge Ram too.
I would not say you compromised with the 3.5. That engine is a beast and a lot of the bad reviews on it was the first gen version. You made a good choice in my opinion. Enjoy the truck.

All I have been hearing is "get a real truck for once, go for the 3/4 ton then you have a real work truck" and "those little 1/2 ton trucks are only good for posing and picking up f*cking Starbucks" ... and in the first 20 sec. Of your video you are actually in the Starbucks drive through 😂😂😂 no hate here though, great video and I am likely going for the f150 as well 😉👌🏼 keep up the good work!

I was looking at same color iconic silver SuperCrew, all the F-150 horror stories scared me so much ended up getting new Tundra. Kind of makes me mad really wanted the Ford. I hope the 5.0 is good to you, they are a cool looking truck

I got the magnetic color with 20" gray wheels, twin panel sunroof, gps well its loaded like a lariat. I like that bed cover you have, i want one but havent found one yet.

Um No. Get a truck, make it functional then comfortable and it damn well better be able to fit equipment and toys in the back and able to pull a decent camper. Going with a 2021 Lariat Super Cab. 2.7L will pull jet ski/dirt bikes/4 wheelers. Dog can stay in back with a topper on and stick her big head through the back window. Super cab is big enough for young kids so it should be perfect for at least 10 years if I keep it that long.

Not saying no one can get a truck. But it’s odd that trucks used to pull full size plows down a field, now, someone is even afraid to take em off the pavement on to a dirt road. It’s crazy to me.
Ford has gotten a lot of guff over the aluminum body and turbocharged engines but people are really just afraid of change. 18 wheelers have aluminum and turbo engines also. If they can use it to haul 78k pounds then I can use it to haul 5k pounds.

I agree. I just bought a 2020 lariat with the 3.5. I traded a 2015 with the same engine. Never had a problem. The 10 speed is great.

Depending on the weight. But if you get a 3.5L ecoboost and the towing package you’ll have no trouble.
