No, unless Singaporean 🇸🇬 athletes use state-sponsored doping like the Russian 🇷🇺 and Chinese 🇨🇳.
Their doctors prescribed them with banned *heart medication TMZ* to enhance their performance.

The only reason Joseph managed to attain it is when he left the Singapore Reich

No !!! Singapore investing in foreign rejects is the reason. Its absurd n ridiculous to expect other countries rejects to beat their home country top selected choices. Its impossible to create another schooling, a self dedicated full family support.

Look at Joseph Schooling, what support does he received from Singapore n Government?
Nothing much really. Instead of giving him full support to continue excel in Olympics. They made him serve full time National Service!!!😂 Thats the best way to terminate his Olympic championship n make him retire prematurely.

Definitely can. Although Singapore is a tiny country but its athlete had won top athlete award at the 32nd Southeast Asian (SEA). Thus, there is a possibility to achieve another Olympian.

Absolutely No! First requirement is you need to be rich, at least close to the late Collin Schooling financial capability to send his son overseas for training and get the best coach. Don’t expect you can attract good coach to Singapore if you offer peanuts. At least you give the coach a car and let him stay in private condominium. Anything less, go fly kite. Any sportsman staying in public flats will not stand a chance to win an Olympic medal. This is a hard truth you must accept.

Firstly, u need someone with that very deep passion, determination, commitments & discipline from a very young age and daring to dream to be an Olympian. That is very very hard to come by with our very small population. Secondly, the need of full support from both parents, lovingly providing the mental support / encouragement, & financial support / sacrifices for your kid to make his dream come true. Finally, the govt need to provide more financial support and trading including overseas training by Olympian coaches

S'pore has attained numerous global achievements and recognitions and they are made possible by PAP. S'poreans acknowledge PAP as the only competent and effective party in s'pore.❤❤

Bringing back gold for ones country or the country earning a gold medal no longer grabs attention like it used to.
Especially when a country winning a medal is no longer about different nationalities competing againt one another.
It began when USA started picking up medals for ping pong. They bought some top talent from China and sped up their citizenship.
Forming a medal winning football or basketball team with a cheque book is difficult.
But thats exactly what one needs in nearly every other sport.
But in Singapores example with Joseph one can argue they didnt offer him cash and citizenship when he was at his peak.
Singapore doesnt see sports as an area that gives long term results or returns worth funding.

Any colour medal would be a big deal .
But the only way would be to naturalise an athlete from somewhere else.

he will groom talents from here and the region
if the system is too small minded
tries to dictate, hamper and strangulate the plan
then let the others in the region benefit

Unless Singapore government sponsored the talented one. You can't let another Joseph Schooling father who spent all his money on Joseph to train for Singapore and in the end get nothing. If Singapore wants to get Olympic medalist, sponsor them just like they sponsored Lim Kean Yew. If Singapore deem it to be important, government will spend the money if not they will not spend the money, so no medalist.

Create someone who can manage a company that can get into the world top 500 list is better instead. At least it can let more people have better jobs instead. A gold medal is less practical than a biscuit. Cant even be eat. At best it serve as a symbol of glory to the sportmans and country. At worst it is use by people to further their self glory and ego using others hard work thats all.

The way Singapore barge and slime its way into world sports competitive platforms using pap methods are disgraceful and shameful to behold. Using many china rejects to don Singapore flag to fight for medals in this world.
Even Malaysia and Indonesia are not so desperate and cheap to gain glory in such an inelegant manner. They still have divers, swimmers, weightlifters and badminton players who made it into the world stage through their own efforts instead of relying on mercenaries and imports.

talk so much but just focus on the main problem. the biggest factor for sports success is self motivation. singapore government and society focus too much on economic success. sports achievement doesn't bring enough financial rewards. the risk reward factor doesn't justify the motivation and effort for an individual to devote his life to sports. to be make a decent living, a singaporean athlete has to be the best in the WORLD, not just in singapore. whereas in many other professions in singapore, you can make a decent living just being good in Singapore competing with the small population of 5 million without even needing to be the best. but in sports, you have to compete with the entire world and be the best. and the local talent pool is already so small because singapore has one of the smallest population. don't forget, age is also a factor. in other fields, you can still work and earn even until your 50s and 60s. in sports, you are already planning on your retirement when you reach your 30s with more than half your lifespan to go. a sports career is not economically viable especially when you live in one of the most expensive cities in the world.

if you Really want to put Singapore first:
    Close both causeways
Deport all foreign workers and train Singaporeans to farm, construct & manufacture
Promote local innovation and development possibly even find local oil, natural gas or even nuclear power
Allow Singaporeans to own firearms not just the armed outward facing or internal forces (what’s better than just the few thousands in the military,4 million armed citizens)
Transparency on our taxes so we can choose what our taxes go to, we still pay but we pay to the ministries we want: you think healthcare is more important than a new hotel your taxes go to MOH than the statutory boards
No on Income Tax, Yes on Sales/Consumer Tax so even the ppl below the income minimum still pay
But most importantly: Singaporeans must own their homes & the land it’s built on so NO property taxes
And this all starts at the Ballot Box
We can take ownership of a Singapore we CAN be proud of but it all starts with us, not the government
