It looks totally fabulous what a beautiful upgrade to the exterior of your home... I would put edging between the grass and the mulch to avoid cross over of the grass and making it easier for Bobby to trim the grass.
I'm not sure about Florida, but in Indiana, you would've increased your property taxes by quite a bit. I too use cardboard under the mulch. Your home is beautiful inside and out.
It looks amazing, you both did an amazing job! You may want to put an edging between the mulch and the grass to prevent the grass from encroaching into your mulch and the big plant you moved will need a lot of water as you can see its in shock (droopy leaves) and give it a regular feed and it will be back to normal in no time! Now girl you and Bobby relax and enjoy your pregnancy!!❤
Cambria, I love what you and Bobby did with the landscaping. In VA when we do a patio, we would put sand first and then the bricks. Once the bricks were in place , you would add more sand to the cracks. Either way what you guys did is beautiful.
Looks fabulous! I ALWAYS use cardboard, not weed barrier. The cardboard actually decomposes, adding organic material to the soil. FYI: I always loosen the roots around plants before planting since usually they are root bound in the pots. If roots aren’t loosened, the plant will not be able to get all the nutrients and will die. As a professional landscaper, I have found that this is usually why plants don’t survive when I check out clients’ plantings. If you notice plants not doing well, I suggest you dig them up and loosen the roots. Don’t throw them out! GREAT job overall!
Great job but I agree with Soulmideife1111 on it being important to loosen the roots of the plants. I didn’t know when I first started garden & everything died the next year. Luckily, the nursery I bought them from replaced them at a 50% discount.
Wow! What a fantastic transformation! Your front yard looks beautiful! I'm glad you decided to keep the bricks natural, they are so pretty the way they are! The flowers are gorgeous! You will get so much enjoyment out of your seating area! Little Freya is so cute! 😂❤ I was a redhead before my hair turned white, and I used to get terrible sunburns! 😳 You and Bobby worked so hard ~ now you can relax and enjoy your front yard, and watch those cool cars and motorcycles go by! 😂💕🌷🩷
I believe I would have moved that bush by the garage door on front by the end of the house, so it wouldn’t obscure your view out your picture window. Looks amazing.
Black Shutters on you front window would look nice with the black mulch! Landscaping turned out really nice and yes it back breaking work! But worth it!
Hi Cambriea it turned out gorgeous you both worked so hard,I think a few little solar lights along the path would be lovely there are so many now to choose from have a lovely week.😊
Beautiful job. Love the mix of natural stones along the walkway! You definitely saved so much doing it yourself, but do think that if you can afford it, the professional will do an even longer lasting job. They are worth what they ask for if they are true professionals. Love that you have the sprinkler system to keep the grass and plants alive! Love how well you two work together as a couple.
Your yard looks absolutely beautiful! I have always done my own yard work and landscaping. It is therapy to me. I live in an active neighborhood where families are out walking and riding their bikes. I have had people stop and tell me I have one of the prettiest yards on the street. You should see how amazed they are when I tell them I do my own yard work. My state is still having some cold days, but after watching you two, I cannot wait to get back out into my yard. Once again, you did an amazing job on your yard. Have a wonderful week, friends!
Beautiful house makeover looks very pretty specially with the black shavings, but you do need a edging around the beds because the grass is going to grow into it
Hi guys. Oh my gosh, wow!!!!!! I love doing yard work, and I'm in love with how yours turned out! I have brick on the front of my house, and now I know what color of mulch thanks to you to use. Like I've always said, any projects you two do turn out so amazing. ❤. All I can say is WOW WOW WOW WOW, what a huge difference. BEAUTIFUL❤!!!!!! I know how much pleasure you Allport will get sitting outside there because I know I would. Enjoy, and have a great week, and I will see you Friday. Now, young lady take it easy❤❤
Beautiful job guys Love it, simple but very elevated and classy. Cambria, I agree with you on the shutter idea. I think now the Black trim and shutters would be the icing on the cake with the black mulch and accents it will be beautiful. It will compliment the red brick so well. White may be a harsh contrast at this point, rather than a complimentary feature. Definately Black trim. IMO. No matter what you'll pull it together you go girl~
Wow! Love the transformation. I’m so glad you are keeping the brick natural. Your home has a beautiful variation of color in the brick. Definitely freshen up the trim and cedar shutters would look beautiful. ❤
I love what you did to your yard it looks so beautiful and be careful you work so hard in everything you do. Thank your husband for his service my son is a veteran also. Love watching both channels continued blessings to your family.
Wow, everything looked so amazing and I cannot believe it was just you and your husband doing all that work! You are now my new hero! The only thing I think maybe you could add is maybe a bird bath or a water feature but everything else I would say it's perfect. Beautiful job!!!
Beautiful. Make sure and go around your mailbox to bring it all together. I love your concrete creatures. Adorable! You guys sure are hard workers. God bless
Thanks for sharing how you went about the makeover. Everything is looking so beautiful and you did a great job refreshing this area and putting so many beautiful plants and shaded areas in just to sit and relax and the beautiful garden. Thanks for sharing.
I also use cardboard as a weed barrier. I also go to a local grocery store and liquor store to get free boxes. Thank you for the brick idea for a patio. We are going to do something like that for our patio. And a walkway from our side area to our front. I absolutely love what you did. Wow! Only 5 days. Its going to take me a year or so to do ours as we are a tad older. We have to take lots of breaks. At the moment we are trying to rid our backyard of darn blackberries. Both larger and baby ones. Thanks for sharing this with us. Great job!
Instead of painting the brick, I would paint the trim black. That would really make that house look nice! This is a great video. Hard work definitely pays off!!
Greeting's from Ireland, Nice video and great job, We bought a cottage In January 2004 in rural Ireland. There was grass in the small front garden and the bigger back garden but no flower bed's. I had no interest in gardening at the time. One day my wife asked me to dig out a flower bed and I said do I have to and she said you will. Off I went and bought a spade and started digging and I thought that's it I'm free, but oh no she wanted me to help her to plant flowers. Great, job done I thought but oh no she wanted me to go to a garden centre and buy a book on gardening and look after the flower bed. I managed not to kill anything that summer and the gardening bug took hold. I started digging and digging and planting and planting. My wife has no interest in gardening and has told me the front garden look's like a mini garden centre. In our small front garden there are fifty eight pots, and four flower bed's, out in the back garden there is a glasshouse and no dig veg bed's. I tell my wife, gardening is my church it's where I heal my hurt's.
I just spent the day trimming and mowing and thinking of some ideas for my front yard to spruce up on a budget. First time viewer. I love the cardboard idea. Love all your hard work. Came out beautiful.
Just beautiful well done looks amazing guys.....The big tree in middle i get wee fairy garden for freya with wee house etc i think she love it... She just a great wee helper ❤❤❤ xxx
Paint the shutters black it will pop off and black light Fixtures with black door handles and locks leave everything white trim with that red brick it would look amazing and you done a great job looks amazing
Cambriea. One time I got so sunburned that I needed to go to the doctor but I had no insurance so I called the ER and begged for help over the phone which they are not allowed to do but this one guy helped me♥️. He said even if I went to the ER this is what to do. Get some CLEAR aloe vera gel. You can put on as much as you want no limit for safety and you can even keep it in the refrigerator to keep it cold feeling. He kept repeating to NOT EVER USE THE GREEN GEL. He said the green gel will hurt you and make you sick. I had an extremely bad sunburn that day and kept putting on a lot of CLEAR ALOE VERA GEL. Wow. Wow. Wow. The next morning it was all healed up and no longer painful. I burn easy so I use it all the time now. And an added benefit is that aloe vera gel is very healthy for your skin whether you have a burn or not. I love it. I keep a bottle in my refrigerator always now. Just remember only clear NO GREEN. Very cheap at Walmart. You will love it. Love you guys
when we were stationed in Hawaii, my exhusband was extremely burned. The nurses at the Naval hospital told us to use white vinager on WHITE TOWELS to lay on the burned areas. It did wonders for taking the heat out of his skin!
You worked your buns off !! It looks great!! I’ll tell you. This black mulch trend is very hot!! I have clients with huge homes and professional landscapers. They ALL use black mulch! I wish when I had my house it was a thing. I used that pretty red but it faded and never kept its look. Phew, now you can enjoy during the rest of the summer!
Another thing you may want to do is start adding some ground cover in the mulch areas. Just be careful not to get invasive plants. I had a beautiful lime green gr. cover that started to take my entire landscaping & also started in our grass in the 1st spring season. I had to did it up to remove the roots before i got it to stop. It took 2 years to totally remove it. Since then we have used various succulents like hens& chickens in different colors. They spread nicely, tolerant the heat. Gr. covers will eventually remove the need for mulch. Some even produce small flowers.
You are one hard worker! Making effort to offer ideas on saving time and money super appreciated! Like your little helper too she was really working hard right beside you...and barefoot too😊
My Husband said it would have cost around 10-12 thousand to do what you all did by yourself and he said you all did an amazing job! Also, next time you can rent a sod cutter for 70 dollars a day and it would do it faster, easier, and more even. Really amazing and fast you all did great! Looks so pretty!
Looks great! When my husband was still alive, we did projects together and saved a lot of money. The only thing I would suggest is to put some kind of fertilizer down when planting the new plants. But maybe you will water with water soluble fertilizer monthly, especially on flowering plants.❤
You need to get you a little edge across on the outside by the yard either stone or that black plastic to hold the mulch in to make it easier on Bobby when he’s weed eating and cutting the grass otherwise the mulch is gonna be everywhere
Turned out beautiful! A lot of hard work and it paid off! ❤ I thought grandma couldn’t live by herself anymore and she was going into a nursing home if she didn’t move in with you.
So it wouldn’t really be living alone. Think of it more like a mother in law’s suite off the house. So she would still have 24hr care but also her own space if that makes sense
What a beautiful transformation. The only change i would make is to add punches of colour. Add creeping thyme which is so pretty ground cover. And then flowers of a variety of colours that would make black mulch pop! Great job! Sorry for your backs.
Ours has way too much garbage. I was uncomfortable working with it for health reasons. It’s jus not worth it to me. I’ll spend the few dollars and purchase inexpensive mulch
What a great job! It looks wonderful. Perhaps adding some hearty bushes (boxwood, barberry, arborvitae shrubs) to provide scale, color, and all season interest.
Beautiful work and even considering it took five days, still a lot of work was accomplished in a short period of time. Awesome! Glad I’m not the only one who works in sandals. 😊
Looks so much better! What I would’ve done differently is put some pea gravel underneath the pavers and put the pavers closer together. Then swept sand in between the pavers. I would just be concerned about the pavers eventually sinking. I don’t know about the mulch in between the pavers either.I live in Ohio though and I have to use a leaf blower and clean out a lot of leaves and debris so my mulch flies everywhere. You may be ok!
You made me feel so empowered watching you do all that landscaping. I always feel like I need to have my husband get stuff going and do everything. Now I know I can do it!! THANK YOU SO MUCH, you are amazing!!!!
Wow, this transformation is amazing and inspiring!!!! I cannot believe you dug out all that grass by yourself!! You’ve inspired me to get some more landscaping done myself! in my yard!!
I would have put the bush to the left of garage to open up the entrance way and you can also paint your rocks I did mine white & it really brings out the black mulch. Looks great!!!!
Amazing transformation. Absolutely fantastic. Just a hint for the paving next use sand instead of soil when it rains that will just be a mud pile where sand will compress with the rain and set the papers ( I've learnt) ❤
You and Bobby are a great team and do beautiful work. I love the color of your brick and would keep it. You have a beautiful home and should be very proud of what you and Bobby have done in such a short amount of time. I cant believe its almost 2 years already! Love your channel...
3 years ago we🌴 had just the front of our home gone(we also live in FL). We paid over $1500.00. Each year, we refresh the mulch. You and Bobby did a fantastic job! Please, no more heavy lifting Cambriea.
It looks fantastic. And so much hard work. Landscaping is the hardest work around the house. Wonderful you could do it yourself and save a ton of money.
Great transformation, you have really good vision. It is back breaking. My husband is also military broken so I do the labor. When you do the cedar shutters maybe also wrap that pillar to match them. That would be nice.
Cedar shutters would look amazing and also wrapping the column in cedar would tie it together. The landscaping looks so great! ❤
not with that brick color --that pinkish/reddish tone and cedar orange/yellow will clash.
It looks totally fabulous what a beautiful upgrade to the exterior of your home... I would put edging between the grass and the mulch to avoid cross over of the grass and making it easier for Bobby to trim the grass.
Everyone needs a Bobby and Cambriea in their life 😊
Absolutely!!!💯💯💯
The value of curb appeal is just wild! You guys knocked it out of the park! That space is beautiful!
I'm not sure about Florida, but in Indiana, you would've increased your property taxes by quite a bit. I too use cardboard under the mulch.
Your home is beautiful inside and out.
Yard work is hard work and holy moly, you guys knocked it out!
So much work but also so worth it
So pretty! You might consider putting in metal edging between the grass and the mulch to keep the edge crisp. It’s easy to trim then.
interesting! A metal edging? Can you describe? Is it a metal border and why metal? thank you
You two did a fabulous job with the landscaping. The house looks totally different now. I absolutely love your choice of plants.
I was going to say the same thing about the edging! 😂
Me too
Please thank Bobby for his service!! What a great transformation please take time to enjoy u both!!!
I love the addition of the rocks to fill in spots. Good call!
Love the new landscaping ❤and the sitting space 😍
Thank you. We have been really enjoying it
Cambria, I love what you and Bobby did with the landscaping. In VA when we do a patio, we would put sand first and then the bricks. Once the bricks were in place , you would add more sand to the cracks. Either way what you guys did is beautiful.
Looks amazing!!!! I absolutely love the look of mulch as well. I feel like it makes the plants really stand out. Looks so clean and fresh! 😊
Stunning transformation. Take it easy girl. No more heavy lifting!!!!!!
Please be careful , you work way to hard. We care about you. Love your videos. 💖
Looks so good, I’m sure you’re enjoying that new space!
Weeds will come really soon between the pavers🤔
Looks fabulous! I ALWAYS use cardboard, not weed barrier. The cardboard actually decomposes, adding organic material to the soil. Great job but I agree with Soulmideife1111 on it being important to loosen the roots of the plants. I didn’t know when I first started garden & everything died the next year. Luckily, the nursery I bought them from replaced them at a 50% discount.
I thought I was the only one who noticed she didn’t loosen them
Cardboard does not work
Wow! What a fantastic transformation! Your front yard looks beautiful! I'm glad you decided to keep the bricks natural, they are so pretty the way they are! The flowers are gorgeous! Landscaping looks great and by the way the color of the house looks just fine it’s such a pretty pop color I love it❤👍🏻

I would add lighting near the plants to show off at night, and down the walkway.
Beautiful house makeover looks very pretty specially with the black shavings, but you do need a edging around the beds because the grass is going to grow into it
i love the idea of adding the big rocks as space fillers instead of more flowers/plants. definitely breaks it up and ZERO maintenance! lol great job!

Add a few more of the red square stones to walk in and out of the seating area! Look stunning.

The landscaping looks fabulous! The plants will grow and fill in with time! Love the rocks!🪴🌳🌴🌿🪴
Amazing transformation! The sitting area looks so much bigger than it did before. I would live that in my yard.
Thanks for sharing how you went about the makeover. Everything is looking so beautiful and you did a great job refreshing this area and putting so many beautiful plants and shaded areas in just to sit and relax and the beautiful garden. Thanks for sharing.
What an awesome transformation!! Y'all did an outstanding job!! Now, no more heavy lifting for you, Cambriea...time to kick your feet up and relax!
You and your husband did a beautiful job!
Beautiful, you and your husband should be proud of the hard work that you have done.
Girl you did that in your sandals like a pro!
💙💙💙WOAH......what a difference! A labor of love was done! Simply BEAUTIFUL 😍!💙💙💙
I love EVERYTHING YOU GUYS DID🤗 it’s stunning and it was a family effort 😊beautiful 🙏🏾👏🏾🙏🏾🤗👏🏾
I think it is so satisfying to know you did things yourself.

You added to your curb appeal beautifully. Great job. You’re right it’s a lot of work. ❤
Instead of painting the brick, I would paint the trim black. That would really make that house look nice! This is a great video. Hard work definitely pays off!!
Love the landscape ❤ I would just add some black edging to dissappear into the mulch as to uts not seen and it will keep the mulch in place 😊
We are in Florida too. It cost us last year $4500.00 for six big trees, plants at least 30 of them, and all new sod and mulch .
Love the before and after, great job had by all. Great ideas for a person on a budget and having it look like a professional job.
Adding potting soil before planting would ve helped the plants thrive better! Also breaking up the roots a little.
What a great idea and transformation, this has given me ideas of what to do in my front yard. You can used the
empty mulch bags weed barrier.

That's a great idea about the fairy garden! That would be so cute,.and I bet little Freya would love it! 😊

Yes. Great idea
Wow. Wow. Wow.
It’s Beautiful..I would add border around the flower beds all the mulch in off the grass...
You worked your buns off !! It looks great!! I’ll tell you. This black mulch trend is very hot!! I have clients with huge homes and professional landscapers. They ALL use black mulch! I wish when I had my house it was a thing. I used that pretty red but it faded and never kept its look.

Hello, this is my first time watching you ,9 minutes into the video and I realize you have a great personality😊
Lights throughout the flower bed would look good and some uplights to highlight parts of the house at night.
Cambriea, you are good with outdoor chores. You are amazing woman, in all the task.
Oh thank you!
Thank you for your reply.
OMGoodness that’s absolutely beautiful and looks so professional!!! Y’all are rock star s to me!!!! 🎉
Your daughter is just so darling! It makes me miss my granddaughters when they were that age! 🥰 You’re such a hard worker. Great job! -Susan

Oh, gotcha. I misunderstood…sorry.
Wow, what a workout! I applaud your commitment to this project. It is absolutely beautiful. It doesn't even look like the same house.
Sweetie, just a little tip to save money. Your local city dump site has free compost and Mulch. I now save a lot of money...
Our city dump compost and mulch had a lot of weeds in it. If I catch the mulch on sale like the 5/$10, I will buy it.
Ours does not sadly
What a beautiful transformation. The only change i would make is to add punches of colour. Add creeping thyme which is so pretty ground cover. And then flowers of a variety of colours that would make black mulch pop! Great job! Sorry for your backs.

You all did since a wonderful job!! It looks like you hired a landscaper!! You give me courage to try on my own! Love it so much!!
Beautiful work and even considering it took five days, still a lot of work was accomplished in a short period of time. Awesome! Glad I’m not the only one who works in sandals. 😊
Bobby Thank you for your service y’all deserve way more that 10%!
It is stunning. Paint the trim black and cedar shutters will elevate it even more.
Yeah now I really want to do that since we started in the front yard
@@livingwithcambriea pace yourself Mama
Your work is amazing you have a gift that you can enjoy as a living.
Turned out so beautiful!! Awesome job

I would have put the bush to the left of garage to open up the entrance way and you can also paint your rocks I did mine white & it really brings out the black mulch. Looks great!!!!
you guys made it look so easy!!! That is a real back breaker right there. Kudos! It looks awesome!!!! Goals right there.
Amazing transformation. Absolutely fantastic. Just a hint for the paving next use sand instead of soil when it rains that will just be a mud pile where sand will compress with the rain and set the papers ( I've learnt) ❤
Thx for that tip. Noted!
You and Bobby are a great team and do beautiful work. I love the color of your brick and would keep it. You have a beautiful home and should be very proud of what you and Bobby have done in such a short amount of time. I cant believe its almost 2 years already! Love your channel...
I'm amazed by your energy. Everything looks great.
Love how it turned out. Made a huge impact on the look.
Keeping those edges crisp is everything.
3 years ago we🌴 had just the front of our home gone(we also live in FL). We paid over $1500.00. Each year, we refresh the mulch. You and Bobby did a fantastic job! Please, no more heavy lifting Cambriea.
Great job I love how you pulled this together you’ve inspired me to redesign my space
Absolutely beautiful Cambriea 😍 yourself and Bobby did an amazing job 😊❤xx
The yard looks so pretty. You have room to add some perennials if you want more color.
you have done an amazing job of the front yard. its beautiful and will no doubt look more amaxing as the plants spread and fill in the spaces
You did a great job ! Very nice! I like the plants so much and you did not overdo it!
Hi, me and my best friend enjoyed watching! All your videos are inspiring and great!
