replacing the key lock cylinder on a 1994 manual ford ranger

this truck was a 1994 no tilt 2.3 5 speed xlt.

hmmm, I lost the key, so no key, no run position to remove ignition, right? or is there another option?

drill it

Drill it but don't go too deep, you'll need to manually turn the bottom plastic clip that would have turned with the key when putting the new cylinder in.
