I’m sure it can be done, but I’m not sure what all it would take. You know the wiring harness and pcm would need to be upgraded. The V6 trans wouldn’t be able to handle it either. A lot of work and money.
So did the harness from the R/t work and not causing CEL and all? I am new to the channel and project but looks like you basically dumped the 392 in modified the exhaust and now have a srt Durango on a cross hair grill Durango 😂 you may be my soul brother this is the shit in my head daily
Yep, I used the 5.7 harness. The only thing I had to do was extend the throttle body, purge valve and map sensor wires because of the different positions they were mounted in. Only got an engine light for the purge valve because it wasn’t correct for this motor. The 6.4 has a wilder cam and the motor produces less vacuum. So the 5.7 purge valve didn’t do the job. I also had to get a separate controller for the runner switch on the intake manifold. The 5.7 was not equipped with this so there was no wiring. You know, the 5.7 and 6.4 Hemi is the same block with different internals. This makes it a direct replacement. This swap is not as hard as people think. I know what you mean about it being in your head, I walked through the entire install step by step at least 40 times while laying in bed at night. Luckily, it actually went down the way I imagined it. That doesn’t happen often. I did a lot of leg work to make sure I had everything I needed.
@@tonyharmsen5081 well I assume they where the same cause all the came swapping folks do but wasn't sure exactly how much the same. I figured it had that active runner deal on the intake but I am so freaking glad I was right about alot. I can hunt a new 6.4 and keep spraying the fu#k out of my 5.7 with nitrous now until she won't do it anymore 🤣
Do it say 380 hp
It may have, but it pulled 405/425 after the exhaust and SRV control.
Nice are you using stock fuel pump?
Yes
Nice pickup with just SRV control kit.
I thought so too, thanks
About to do a swap on my rt Durango with in the next week did you have to change anything electrical like PCM, radio, or anything
No. Used the stock pcm, just had it tuned. I added a Z Automotive SRV Controller for the 6.4 intake manifold. That’s it.
Hey I have a 2011 Durango can you tell me what’s all necessary for 392 swap
Watch my recap video.
would this work on v6 durango if so what would be needed luv this swap 💯👑

It would be a whole lot more work lol
