In terms of water proofing and longevity; no concerns about installation times…does tile ready have a clear advantage over cement backer board products like USG or Perma and roll on water proofing?
Yes, with Redi Wall boards, you don't need to worry about applying or roll-on any additional waterproofing membrane. No special fasteners are needed either, all you do is screw it to your framing and cap off the screws with our Redi Sealant.
The Redi Flash is an option you can use to waterproof the top of the pan splash wall and the backerboard or you can use another form of tape membrane or waterproof sealant.

You don't have to have red-guard on the wall board? The Redi wall board is fully waterproof?
Nope! Our wall boards are 100% waterproof (they are polyurethane) so no additional waterproofing is necessary.
Will this Redi board hold porcelain tile on shower walls? Thanks in advance!
Yes, it will. The installation instructions have a list of thinsets that we recommend for LFT.
What about installing a custom niche in the redi wall? would it be the same idea as cement board with mesh tape and mortar + sealant?
The installation process is almost the same - just easier. You can waterproof using the Redi Sealant and/or use waterproofing tape along the edges.
@@TileRedi_US thank you!
Is Redi flash used with flanged shower bases?

What if you have a larger shower that is wider than 60 inches?
