Thank you, for your reaction to Ghost Riders In The Sky, by Geoff Castellucci. Geoff's storytelling was so brilliant, and the way he put all this together was really a masterpiece.
After listening to Music from the Old Days.... I can feel a kindred spirit with you about the old days. I may only be 28, but I even wish for the slower days. Keep on singing about them good ol' days and continue to spread your voice.
This is such an epic performance. Geoff’s vocals are outstanding, but then the four creepy ghost cowboys are too. Eli handled not only the lighting, but the amazing background. It was disconcerting to watch Geoff be transformed into Jeff, the first cowboy. As each cowpoke was added, and more facial hair was added he looked less and less like himself. It kind of gave me the creeps to watch Daryl (leather coat) talking in Geoff’s voice to the people who were filming. It was such a transformation. Rick Underwood, the artist does makeup for PattyCake is a genius. He also did the makeup for VoicePlay’s Hall of the Mountain King. Rick did such an amazing job in the upcoming Halloween one that if I had not watched Layne be transformed, I wouldn’t have known who it was, except that he was the craziest character.
@@janetdw Me too. That's why I like him more than the others. Daryl is ghostly handsome in my eyes. Looks very bank robbery with the long coat and beard. Or walk in a saloon and have a drink of whiskey without a peep from anyone except running the other way 😂
I love this so much. My folks were SUPER conservative as I grew up and I wasn't allowed to listen to the radio or most music until I left home, but this was one of the songs on the 'approved' list since my dad had it on a record. (Yeah, I listened to a lot of music about 40 years behind my peers, I'm still catching up. I honestly thought Guns & Roses was some kind of shooting/gardening club until I got older. Sheltered doesn't cover it in many ways.) I think I wore the thing out on this song. Geoff took a great song and made it a 100x better!
This is awesome. It's far, far better than Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Willie Nelson, and everyone else that did this. They all bow to Geoff. Thank you Brad, for doing this.

I wondered how Geoff would handle Ghost Riders In The Sky and really wished he'd give it a go. He finally did and it's a bloody masterpiece. I had a huge smile on my face watching the video and listening to it when it first dropped. Frankie would be proud if he could see this.
Caught the premiere of this song. I love it! I just watched a list of hauntingly beautiful songs in animated movies. I spent most of that video crying. Still getting emotional because of those songs, man.
Geoff started this in July, but a lot kept getting in the way so he finished it for Halloween. (At one time he expressed to Kathy that he might need to re-record like they had to last Halloween. She put her foot down and he finished it!). Fortunately he didn’t lose power like Layne did, so it was able to premier today. Layne still needs to finish editing VoicePlay’s Halloween video, but I can tell you that it will be worth the wait! In the mean time, you might consider doing Pattycake Productions Bump In The Night. Featuring a Thriller-type original song, it features most of your favorite Halloween figures. It was filmed during Covid, but it features a large cast. Don’t skip the dialogue at the beginning. It’s short and sets up the song. And it’s fun if you watch all the way to the credits - with Pattycake even short commercials are entertaining. (And with their high production costs they need it!)
